Another business that I only visit when my wife makes me. Quality/Quantity - Below average, less than fresh.Fiji apples were "soft", not crispy. Atmosphere - Small local grocery store, as you know I like to support local businesses. Well, friendly local businesses. Service - Hit and miss. But for me, more of a miss than a hit. In my opinion, the employees are very "direct," borderline rude. Sorry if I don't know where anything/everything is. Price - Above average. Got some Fuji apples today for $1.69 lb. Owner Comment - You have more than one location? I will continue to be a customer just because my wife makes me and for the convenience.

Before I knew how to cook Vietnamese, I could only buy chicken, eggs, and vegetables I knew at a discount. After making effort to speak Vietnamese, understanding the culture, and learning how to speak to elders in the community, I've since learned how to cook better dishes and learned the words, in Vietnamese, to ask for what I want. It's not easy but it helps! Many work within their community b/c of language barriers...or they can't get jobs in other places. There are a lot of dynamics on why these reviews read a certain way...but I've never had a bad experience. That doesn't mean bad experiences aren't there but some reviews need to be understood for a certain lens/intersectionality. And also, let's understand that low ratings do hurt communities. Sometimes when nothing nice can be said, say nothing especially if the reviews drive them out of business many jobs and access in the community would be lost. take it all with kindness...cause sometimes we gotta find it

If your looking for quality and service, it isn't here. The meats are old, the vegetables aren't fresh. The older man with glasses and older women are very rude.I don't expect much at an asian market but this place is the place you shouldn't be shopping at

Please double check your total when you are paying the owner (old bland man with glasses) likes to double charge you on there items tis has happen to me 3 times already each time it is with him he claims its a "accident" but he knows what he is doing

Look out for the expired things they put on the shelves there. So many of them are expired. Also the cashiers always over charge me things that weigh by pounds

It's an alright Asian market that skews toward SE Asian clientele, specifically Vietnamese-Cantonese, Cambodian and Laotian. PROS- They have one of the most delicious chili oils I've ever had. It's a weird Laotian brand that I'm sure is not the healthiest, but it's super H-O-T. I put it on everything .- They sell pandan leaves seasonally CONS- Meat section doesn't look the greatest, and service is gruff- Not very clean overall- Watch out for expiration dates on sauces because some of the stuff is dusty - They don't have a lot of the trusted brands for a lot of Asian staples and when they do, it's quite expensive. I'd rather go to 99 Ranch because they have more brands that my mom uses and it's also cheaper. Everyone knows that when you cook Asian food you gotta use the same brands that your mom uses.I basically only come here to restock on the Laotian chili sauce that I'm addicted to. Can't really find it anywhere else. I'd rather get my produce and meat from Oakland Chinatown, where it's more fresh.

Honestly you'll get a lot of different Asian varieties of snacks condiments vegetables and food here. However The cashier will let people she knows cut the line which I didn't appreciate. I also think it could be a tad bit cleaner but I get that It is difficult to maintain a grocery store like this one.

This is a scam super market..i been going here for 15 years and today i have to urgued with the cashier to get my money back..Check this out polk..on friday we bought 2 sticky rice and they are sour and turn pink color once its open the same night..i brought them back and tell them its was bad..the cashier told me to make it my self ..what is she talking about ? You are joking too much with me..and if i can make it myself ya need to get rid of those first..do not sell stuff over due date people..staffs here are rude and the owner is ignorance...i will never shop here agian ok bye ..waste time and saliva over this shits..ya all know my face by reading this comment..PLEASE DO NOT SELL OLD FOODS we can get sick and poison from IT..ZERO star for this place..

Literally just drove by and seen a dead full body of a pig and raw meat just on top of cardboard boxes. As they are taking it out in broad day light I'm assuming this is how it was delivered. NOT stored properly or SAFELY. Just out raw with nothing covering it going straight to the display meat area for you to buy. I don't even think this is a temperature control fridge truck. I read a lot of comments on here that the meat looks old and not fresh well this is why. This is not safe food and this should be investigated by the department of health as I'm sure they have laws on how to transport RAW ANIMALS. Be careful where you buy your meat and food from. Stay safe.
