We were coming back from visiting family in Hercules and needed a place to have dinner. This place stood out and was on our way. Glad we came here as the food and service was excellent. We had Pad Thai (benchmark for Thai restaurants ) Tod mon pla, crab fried rice and tom yoong koong. The food was a little different as the folks are Laotian but it was super good

me and mom used to come here all the time and my grandma actually knew the previous owner. their food was so good it was hard to stay away considering how close they were from us. we would go in mommy daughter dates here all the time. i used to order the fried rice, wings, kapiek, and the papaya salad and more! after the new owner took over my mom stopped going because it wasn't the same and i moved out so i never ended up trying it out since the new owners took over. me and my boyfriend went in after church because it was close by and i was craving kapiek so we stopped by to eat here. my boyfriend ordered the pad thai and i ordered the kapiek and wings as an appetizer. when we received the food we got our main dishes first. he took one bite and didn't even want to chew it let alone swallow it. he shook his head at me and asked me to try it so i did. i took a bite and i was at lost of words. the meat tasted old.. the flavors were sour. he didn't want to return the dish and i refused to allow him to eat it if he doesn't like it. i kindly asked the waitress if we can order something else because he didn't like it. she stood there and looked at him asking "you don't like pad thai?" i was shocked by her response... he responds "i do.." he was at lost of words himself. i said "he just doesn't like it" she takes the dish and he asks for fried rice because how bad can the friend rice be. apparently it wasn't all that either. while we were eating we were being watched the ENTIRE TIME. it was hard not to notice being stared at while eating. when i received my kapiek the bowl was HUGE and their was so much noodles i couldn't even finish it. the broth was bland and their noodles weren't like how it should be. i tried adding condiments to it to add flavor but unfortunately i couldn't get it to my liking. the bill came out to around $85-$90. moral of the story, we sucked it up and paid it but unfortunately we will NOT be back.

Like a moth to fire I'm a sucker for amazing food. I was pleasantly surprised to find this mom & pop restaurant that serves up delicious Thai & Laos cuisine that goes well beyond the average. I ordered the bbq boneless chicken of their special menu that comes with a scoop of white rice and Lao style papaya salad. The thinly cut chicken was perfectly seasoned and went well with steamed rice. My absolute favorite was the papaya salad which had the right amount sourness, spice with a hint of fermented taste and the right amount of crunch. The person that took my order was pleasant to talk to and even spent time talking about other items on their menu. He explained the flavor profile differences between Laos and Thai dishes and even gave me a glass of water while I waited for my to-go order. If your in the mood for delicious food I highly suggest giving Sue's Kitchen a try and if you like spicy food ask the person taking your order what they suggest.

It's still there!!!Went to Sue's Kitchen today for take out lunch for my mom and I and ordered the combination and my favorite crab fried rice! Haven't had crab fried rice for awhile and wow, they still serve it and it's still good! Very tasty. crabs are visible, and served in good portion! I'll order it again next time! The combination was fried egg rolls, deep fried tofu and chicken satay. However, it didn't come with a rice. So you have to order rice separately! The service was good and got my food fast despite being a lunch hour.I will definitely come back again!FYI: Parking can be a challenge during the weekend!

As there aren't many Thai/Lao places around I always come here when I need some good soup. Ingredients are super fresh, broths are good and love love love the khao piak. Staff are nice, can get pretty packed inside. Located on a slanted lot, the parking lot is kind of like a hill and limited space so be prepared for that.

Came here last night for the first time with my family. I haven't been here but my family has. Sue's kitchen is the most underrated restaurants you'll ever come across to. There food is authentic and you can taste the flavors as how much they represent the Laotian and Thai cuisine combined. For appetizers, We ordered the chicken satay, wings, and calamari. I forgot to snap a pic of the wings because it was too good as I glazed it with the sauce it came it. For mains, we got crab fried rice and chicken pad Thai. The food is great. Lastly, we had their coconut ice cream with fried banana. It was something different for a change, and I liked it. The restaurant got busy after we left and I'm glad more people came. Service was good, not a disappointment in sight! Thank you!

Best papaya salad I've ever had. Spicier than expected but the combo of noodles, cabbage, peanuts and papaya was so delicious. Pad Thai was very good.

Order Nam Kao was disappointed there was no slice cucumbers and no lettuce original way that I would have my am Kao. Simply no veggies on the side to go with the Nam Kao at all.
