Sticky Rice Cafe

I can't believe I've never reviewed this place. I come here often since it's right down the street from my office. I always order ahead and pick it up. I think I've eaten in one or two times. I am a fairly picky eater, so I always order the same thing. Pad see ew. I do want to branch out, but the pad see ew is just so good. Pretty quiet every time I go to pick up my food. Whoever is working is always nice, and my order has never been wrong. I absolutely love this place.

EXCELLENT FOOD!! Had it delivered and I will definitely be ordering again. Great portion sizes. The Pad Thai was delicious and enough food for my mother to have at least 2 meals. I had the Kra Prow with medium spice which was the perfect level. Amazing flavor and probably enough for 3 meals for me. We also got pot stickers which were incredible even without using the sauces! (We ate a couple of them before I took the pic.) HIGHLY RECOMMEND ALL 3 items.

The place is quaint n cozy. Very cute decor and clean, clean, clean! The staff was very friendly and extremely attentive, furthermore, happy! I love being served by someone who is happy!The food was made with love!!! The Nam Tok was a new dish for me, and it was amazing! Even though I ordered it mild, it still has a distinct flavor with a touch of spicy! Loved it! The curry was smooth and plenty for the side of fragrant rice! Street parking!

I ordered takeout and got medium spicy Pad Thai and a Thai Tea. Wow, the pad Thai was so good. Very delicious and a huge amount!! The Thai tea was .. interesting. It was extremely smoky, and even smokier with the after taste. I didn't hate it, but k was not expecting that kind of aromatic intensity. Not sure if that's how they normally serve / flavor it. And I don't think I would get it again, but it wasn't bad.

If you're in the mood for some yummy flavorful Thai food this spot will not disappoint! The neighborhood is rough but the moment you walk in, albeit quite small, you'll feel welcome and well taken cared of. The green curry was winning with hot fresh moist white rice made it a keeper! It's my go to Thai restaurant when I'm in deep East Oakland. Can't wait to go back!

I come here often and keep forgetting to write a review. The name khao and Drunken Noodles are my regular favorites, but I have tried other dishes that were also good. I always appreciate that the Drunken Noodles contain lots of vegetables and not only Noodles. Full of flavor, their dishes are wonderful and service is great!

We ordered from Sticky Rice last night on Door Dash and the food was absolute fire! So good. I had Thai sausage, potato samosas, and green curry with shrimp. Mama bear had drunken noodles and larb salad. We shared the mango sticky rice dessert. Ice cold jumbo Mexican cokes. 10/10. Reasonable prices, fast delivery, and fresh (super fresh) ingredients. Highly recommend. We're definitely going to eat from here again soon.

Very unsuspecting from the outside but don't be fooled! Love their soups/stews. Pro tip: add pot stickers to any of the soups for more deliciousness!
