I ordered the spicy tofu kimchi fried rice. Good flavor, could have used a little more protein. The banchan was interesting and very tasty. Other people in my group ordered: spicy beef stew, tonkatsu, bibambap with pork belly, and bibambap with chicken. Everyone enjoyed their meal here. They also had barley tea as well as water and assorted beverages. Lunch specials are available on Mon - Thurs, but we were here on a Sunday for lunch. Reasonably priced. For the rice dishes they offered two options between white rice and purple rice, which was pretty interesting. Next time I would probably try the tofu stew or bibambap.

I've been here multiple times, and every visit has been great! The staff is always super friendly, and there's plenty of space, even for larger groups (though they may need to combine tables). My go-to order is the tofu soup, which is served warm in a stone pot. I love that I can customize the spice level to my taste.I also tried their short rib soup, and it was amazing! The beef was incredibly tender, and the glass noodles inside were so filling. The soup itself was super flavorful and comforting. The banchan (side dishes) are decent, and you can ask for more if you'd like. During weekday lunch hours, they offer special deals with different menu options each day, which is a nice bonus. Plus, if you check in on Yelp, you can score a free beverage! One of my favorite things is their rice--it's not just plain white rice, but purple rice, and it's included at no extra cost.Overall, it's a solid spot for a satisfying meal with friendly service, and the lunch deals make it even more worthwhile.

I never leave disappointed whenever I go to Spoon! I've been here a few times and have tried some other dishes, but the tonkatsu is a must everytime! Some other dishes I've tried are stir fry octopus, short rib soup, and tteokbokki. All are decent but the tonkatsu is definitely the best. The perfect flavor and crisp. Whether you get the regular or cheese tonkatsu, you won't be disappointed. I've gotten it to go/delivered a few times as well and it was still nice and crispy!

My Korean friend took me there for lunch. A bowl of Tofu soup with vegetables was prefect on a cold day! It came either a bowl of purple rice and lots of healthy side dishes. Everything was delicious!

Came here during lunch, since it was next to my office. I got the short rib and tofu soup combo! I was surprised how they have the korean purple rice, which I've only had in korea! The wait was not that long either, and the staff was really accommodating. While the inside is not as big as the other Korean places around, it's very clean and organized. I definitely recommend!

This review is for takeout -- I placed an online order and picked up on the way home from work; they were not busy when I stopped in around 6pm on a weekday. The plaza is shared with Ranch 99 and a bunch of other restaurants, and parking can be tricky due to the amount of cars and how compact the spaces are here. We ordered a tofu stew with chicken (mild spice) and a spicy pork bibimbap. Everything was flavorful, and not too spicy. I really like that they serve purple rice, and the stew was the perfect nourishment for a cold fall evening! They also included a few banchan items to go. I don't think I'm likely to dine in based on location, but I can see myself getting takeout here again.

Quick To Go Order!I've been in the plaza so many times and I kept seeing this small Korean restaurant but never had the time to try it. I was in the area and had some time before heading home and decided to go in for a To Go order. I was there at a weird time (around 4:00 pm on a Tuesday) so I didn't expect it to be busy. There was a nice lady prepping some utensils and I let her know I would like to place a To Go order. I went up to the register where she gave me a menu to look at. There's so many options here and one that caught my eye was a SMALL SIZED GALBIJJIM! Most places only have a large sized Galbijjim and it's expensive but it's VERY AFFORDABLE HERE! And I really appreciated that they have 2 sizes.I ordered a Small Spicy Galbijjim, the Spam Mayo Rice, and a Galbi Short Rib. My total was around $80 but I think that's a good price for the amount of food I got!I liked that the Spam Mayo Rice was simple and yet really satisfying! I think there was some type of teriyaki sauce under all the rice and it was really good. The short ribs were very good too! Marinated perfectly and the portion was a good amount. Spicy Galbijjim was good, but I feel like it was lacking flavor? I'm not too sure what is used to make Galbijjim sauce, but compared to other places, it was missing something here. Just not sure what.I didn't wait that long for my food. I think it was only 15 minutes? I would definitely come back here and flbring family with me!

My daughter had a craving for tteokbokki so we decided to try this spot since were grocery shopping in the area and it did not disappoint. We ordered the tteokbokki with cheese and a hot stone bibimbap with spicy pork. Food didn't take long at all and we had a good variety of banchan. The bibimbap was perfect, the char at the bottom of the dish was excellent. Would definitely like to check this spot out again and try some other dishes

I visited a novel Korean eatery in Fremont and sampled their pork belly bibimbap. While the presentation and quantity of the dish were satisfactory, the taste fell short of my expectations. The flavors were rather uninspired, and I felt that there should have been more meat. Additionally, I deducted a star for the service, which, while not terrible, could have been more welcoming.
