This is on the far left side of terminal 2 in OAK. I usually don't traverse this area when most of my flights are on the opposite end, but decided to try it for a quick bite.Staff are curt but professional (considering they're here as early as 4:30 am... Props). My order came out within 5 mins.BREAKFAST BURRITO: Expertly wrapped LOL (ie. not falling or dripping everywhere like some other spots do). Good portions and balance of fillings and protein. Definitely a satisfying meal.$20 for a breakfast burrito tho... Airport tax, man :')

Delicious food at the far end of OAK terminal 2. We were famished after a 5-hour flight from Hawai'i, having boarded before 7 am at Kona airport, where there weren't any breakfast options. Our Southwest flight also served no breakfast - one can only have so many almonds, oat bites and Ritz crackers. Southie to the rescue. We ordered their breakfast burrito ($17), meatball sandwich (The Balls - $17.60) and bacon-lettuce-avocado-tomato (BLAT - $16.50) for the ladies and a matcha latte ($7.10) for me.The food didn't take long. I shared half of the burrito with my wife and it was delicious, especially after she dosed it with hot sauce! It was exactly what I needed, along with my daily fix of matcha latte. The kids gobbled their sandwiches so quickly I didn't get any! Total bill was about $60 before tax and tip. Service was friendly. Will be back!

This is near gate 26-30 at the Oakland airport. It's a cute little coffee/cafe. Couldn't tell how the food was because I only got Chai coffee and the chai was standard. There was nothing special about it. I was surprised at the size of the coffee though. She didn't ask me the size but it looked like a medium sized cup. Thats pretty good for the price I paid. I think it was $5.75.There are options for food though if you wanted food. Service was ok. Lady was nice enough. She was by herself but she was pretty quick.

The bacon and egg sandwich is one of the best I've ever had and I have had a lot. The lime aioli is something special. If you're in this terminal for breakfast try it out. Service is pretty quick too. I hope they do not change or remove this from the menu.

Delicious food at an airport ! If you travel a lot, you'll know this is very rare. The meatball sandwich ( The Balls ) was tasty. The bread was lightly toasted with a nice crunch. Meatballs were flavorful. Serving size was generous. I'll be back to try additional menu items.

Walked to the counter and the employee standing there saw me coming and scooted off to the back. So I began to place my order at the kiosk. The employee comes out from the back and asks me what I want to drink. I told her water and she says 86 cents, and points to the tap device, which I tapped.I said to her why was it only for 86 cents, what about the food I ordered. Her response: "you didn't tell me you ordered food. I asked if she saw me standing at the kiosk.I asked if the water would have been free with the food and she said yes. I asked for a refund and she said no. I paid at the kiosk and stood aside to wait. A couple walked up and ordered a breakfast burrito from her, not the kiosk, and paid. After 10 minutes, she calls them and they collect their food. I'm still standing there waiting for a toasted bagel (that's all I ordered). I asked what happened, and she shrugged her shoulders and pointed at the kitchen. Five minutes later, she calls into the window and says something in Spanish, and they hand her a bag containing my bagel which she then hands to me.As I walk to a seat, I see that the couple who ordered after me has finished their burrito.Sigh. Why???

What would you expect to get at the airport? Quick and easy food at a good price. Nailed it on all fronts! $17 for a monster meatball sandwich and the taste is divine. Has a little kick in the sauce so don't expect boring Subway here. Yummy. Nice gal at the counter and cool little seating area to eat. Highly recommend of you are in the high 20's gates for Southwest at OAK. Enjoy

Well I went here for breakfast and got the Southwest burrito. It had avocado, beans hash browns and tasted like an omelet. The burrito costs $14.5 dollars and charged an extra $4 for taxes and other stuff which is not surprising. I got the burrito really quick like in minutes so I was surprised it tasted good.

Southie, a restaurant in Oakland specializing in East Coast inspired sandwiches and casual fare, opened in October 2023 at the Oakland International Airport, Terminal 2 (the Southwest terminal). The menu includes sandwiches (e.g., pulled pork, meatballs), salads, and sides. They also have pastries (muffins, scones, croissants, danish) and beverages (espresso drinks, drip coffee). They serve Highwire Coffee Roasters, an Oakland roaster. They have a few value deals and a kids menu for kids under 12. Some snacks, salads, and sandwiches are premade and can be found in the refrigerated case. The Standby ($13): pressed grilled cheese sandwich with a cup of tomato soup. Is a pressed grilled cheese really a grilled cheese? It seemed more like a panini to me. The bread was not buttery or grilled. It was a white roll with a mild cheese (jack?) in the middle, sprinkled with dried Italian seasoning and pressed. The grilled cheese was nice and hot and the creamy tomato bisque was tangy and yummy. There is a 5% airport surcharge.

OMG. They are actually bringing great food to the airport. We have been to both Wood Tavern and Southie in the Claremont District of Oakland. Both of those locations are amazing. This one does not let you down. Had the breakfast sandwich, best breakfast sandwich I have ever had, very flavorful, me and my wife split it, and was perfect amount before a flight. Go it's amazing. You can order the lunch items for breakfast as well. I was considering the meatball sandwich, as that looked good as well. Value 4 of 5 you are getting amazing food for a fair price at the airport, seriously you can get a horrible cold breakfast burrito for $11 at a food stall in the airport, or get something made with quality ingredients that actually tastes good. Food 5 of 5 Amazing flavor and quality ingredients. Service 5 of 5 Order at the counter food came out quickly, they give you a buzzer to let you know when it's ready. Atmosphere 2 of 5 It's an airport so if you like airports maybe it's 5 of 5.
