Easy to order and pickup - got the classic Japanese cheesecake with berries (free lettering)($60). I was worried that a low carb, gluten free, sugar free, and diabetic friendly cheesecake could not be good. I was relieved to discover that the cake was not only made with natural ingredients, but was delicious, fluffy, and light, with just a faint sweetness. It's a good option if you want a healthier version of the dense, sweet, and rich typical cheesecake. It was the perfect dessert for the elderly birthday girl and we were all happy with it!

I got this for my girlfriend as she is diabetic and it was her birthday. They were able to make the cake on short notice and it came out perfectly. They helped facilitate a pickup even though I was late due to traffic. The cake came out exactly as described and had a unique flavor I've never had. It was very tasty and was lovely how mildly sweet it was. I was able to eat a lot of it due to it not being packed with sugar. Definitely would recommend to anyone who's diabetic or avoids sugar.

I am obsessed with Sonshine Cheesecake's matcha cheesecake. I ordered a matcha cheesecake and normal cheesecake, and both had the best fluffy texture and were so airy. These cheesecakes were significantly more delicious than the other soufflé cheesecakes I've ordered in NYC/SF and honestly even in Hokkaido (they're all too way sweet and often lack the fluffy/bouncy texture and seem deflated). Both were also the perfect sweetness / not very sweet (perhaps because we asked Corinne for reduced sweetness), so we had a fantastic time enjoying them for breakfast too! The most exciting part, however, was that in addition to being truly delicious, the cheesecakes were the most gorgeous cheesecakes I've ever seen. Corinne is creative and helped me cut out custom stencils for Ghibli designs: Kiki and Totoro (or KE-TOtoro lolol)! I absolutely adore the design and I'm so grateful for Corinne's help in making all my keto and Ghibli dreams come true! I've recommended her to all of my friends. Thank you, Sonshine Cheesecake!

Glad I tried this, but it's just not my style. To me the fluffy and light flavor of Asian cheesecakes is just not on the same level as the robust and creamy American conterpart.

It's Mediocre. I told her about my preferences for sweetness but still it is too sweet for my liking. I ate one slice and gave the rest to my boyfriend and his roommate. I am glad they enjoyed it. Looks nice but a disappointment 40 bucks :*( for cake, in which I forgot to ask about the size and wasn't told5 bucks for the appx 15 mins deliveryNo more handmade cakes in Bay Area I will learn from videos and bake my own. 45 bucks I can literally go for 3-4 rounds of ingredients.Attentive customer service

I got a classic cheesecake with strawberries and blueberries. It tastes fresh and fluffy - better than I expected and very different from any traditional cheesecake. I would come back for special occasions. You have to order ahead though because their orders are packed and short notices aren't guaranteed.

This cake tastes as amazing as it looks! Christina was super responsive via email when placing the order and text when scheduling a local pickup. Our family (kids included) thoroughly enjoyed the cake, especially for my aunt who follows a strict diabetic diet. If you're on the market for Japanese cheesecake in the East Bay, this is the place to go!
