Ambiance was great! we got short rib poutine ($16), Chicken Croffle Toast ($22), Truffle Lobster Benedict ($32), Yazultza ($13), and Ube Tea Latte ($7). I think the chicken croffle was the most value and I'd wish there was more croffle I would not recommend the short rib poutine, there was barely any short rib- mainly just tater tots with a sprinkle of cheese

Food 4/5Service 5/5Ambiance 5/5Came for the Valentine's Day Omakase menu at $168 per person, which is on a pricey side. Food presentations were elegantly beautiful and service was excellent. It's must try for a special occasion if you want to spurge. My partner and I love to try different cocktails so our bill came out to $500 for 2 person. I do want to come back to try the brunch menu too.

Looooved the brunch here!! My friends and I ordered the loco moco, ebikatsu sando, and chicken croffle. I personally liked the loco moco the best, but the croffle had amazing portion if you want quantity over quality. The interior was decorated in a cute Japanese vibe. 100% reco!

We went here for brunch! The waitlist website is nice so you don't need to wait outside to be called. The food was great. The unagi Benedict was delicious and the chicken with the croffle was amazing (super soft meat while being crunchy). The amaebi crudo was pretty good, but I was expecting larger sweet shrimp similar to amaebi nigiri. The service was good but the wait between dishes was really long. I got my dish (Benedict) a full 20-25 minutes before my partner got their dish (chicken croffle). Other parties around us (4+ people) got their food at the same time.We also wanted the okonomiyaki tots without mozzarella and they said they could do it. It arrived late and actually had mozzarella even when the waiter said it had no cheese. After sending it back the kitchen made another error by putting cheese again, so we just cancelled this order instead of waiting for a 3rd time.Overall good food, trendy ambiance, but service and wait times were lacking.

Soho Modern is my favorite restaurant. This was my third time dining here and it just keeps getting better. This visit was extra special, as I celebrated my birthday and got to experience their winter menu. The staff, as always, were incredibly kind and took the time to explain each dish in detail. The tasting menu began with a beautifully presented plate of assorted sashimi. Each piece was unique in flavor and texture. Then came the Kaiser chawanmushi with fresh seafood like shrimp and whelk.Next was part one of the seasonal nigris. While most of the pieces were incredible, I wasn't a fan of the squid, it was too chewy for my liking. However, the braised abalone in the kobachi, served with mushrooms and XO sauce, was a standout. The abalone was tender, though the dish felt a bit more like something you'd find in a Chinese restaurant than what I typically expect here. The soft black cod that came next was wonderfully tender, paired with a nori beurre blanc sauce that complemented the fish perfectly. Then, back to part two of the nigris, which included bluefin tuna, o-toro, hotate, and tamago. The toro was, as it should be, so buttery and tender, just melting in my mouth. We couldn't resist the supplement course, and it was totally worth it! The Hokkaido uni was creamy and fresh, while the A5 wagyu with truffle was absolutely delicious. The highlight of the night was the bluefin toro temaki with caviar, it was just the perfect balance of flavors and textures in every bite. Towards the end, we had the owan, which was like a comforting oden soup, warming us up for the final course. For dessert, we enjoyed a soft matcha cake and as a birthday surprise, they gave us butter mochi on the house. It was *so* moist and delicious. Overall, I've loved Soho Modern from my very first visit and this time was just as great as the first. The creativity in their dishes and the quality of the ingredients keep me coming back for every season's menu.

There's always a line waiting to get into SOHO Modern and after trying it once, I've been continuously willingly putting myself in the line. Food is always incredible. The lighting inside makes the restaurant look really upscale and beautiful, which makes for a nice ambiance no matter if it's during brunch or dinner.Their benedicts are always so good and the one that I love the most is the Ebi Katsu Benedict. Their mochi pancake is always a must order along with the chicken croffle toast. Their drinks are beautiful and tasty, making for a nice photo op.

I came here during Valentine's weekend and we both got the tasting menu. Everything was so immaculate from the presentation to the taste. They gave us a strawberry sake as a welcome drink and it was so good. My favorite was the nigiri II that came with chutoro, otoro, hotate, and tamago. I also really enjoyed the first dish as well. I would recommend coming here for special occasions.

Went here as an early Valentine's Day date with my partner and got their omakase winter menu dinner for $168/person. Some pros:- GREAT Ambiance - very romantic and relaxing- Our server Zoe was so sweet and attentive!- Quality of the food was also great! - Cocktail drinks tasted good as well- First course we had was honestly mindblowing - On-the-house shots and also extra dessertCons:- Some of the dishes weren't exactly our favorite - mainly the cuttlefish with shiso leaf nigiri- Wish we could have had some salmon option in there- Not sure if the dishes after the first course platter were worth the high price point tbhOverall, we've had better omakase elsewhere for cheaper. Not sure if we would go back for omakase here but we are going to be coming back for brunch!
