Sizzling Lunch

Sizzling Lunch never disappoints! Two years later, their excellent customer service and quality food remain consistent. As always, I ordered their cheese fries, and they were absolutely delicious. I love adding the extra spice they have on the table--it makes the fries even tastier.For the main dish, I got the pepper beef. Once again, I added plenty of spice and shoyu and let the rice get a little crispier by not mixing it too much on the sizzling plate--the perfect combination. I really love how much crispy fried garlic they include, and while the butter portion is decent, I would definitely enjoy even more of it.They also have other items on the menu, such as gyoza and karaage, but it would be a lot of food if I ordered them alongside my go-to dishes. I definitely want to try their curry or udon dishes one day, but honestly, their sizzling rice plates are top-tier.

Unfortunately I have to rate this place no stars based purely on the service received from the waitress who has blonde hair today, I am unsure of her name as they don't wear name tags and she didn't speak a single word to me at all. I come here very often and I usually get other servers who are usually friendly and welcoming. This is the second time I have gotten the blonde waitress as my server today, and she is consistently rude, never speaks, and rolls her eyes over bringing a dish to the table. As a woman who has worked multiple service jobs I know service can be a hard job to handle. But I also believe that kindness can go a long way, especially to people who are kind to you. But she is always rude and won't speak, even when spoken to. She always creates an unwelcome atmosphere at the restaurant for customers and makes me feel uncomfortable.I assume everyone has bad days, but she has been like this both times and is consistently very rude; The entire table both times noticed and felt so uncomfortable to even ask anything. Every time she brought a dish to the table, she would walk up, throw it down, and walk away. She was also very friendly with her coworker in the back, but whenever a customer speaks to her she would not speak at all nor even really make eye contact and just walk away. When someone else was ringing us up for payment, she was standing from the back and watching the entire time, then when the transaction was finished she mouthed "how much?"- asking how much we tipped her to her coworker. I am unsure why she is even employed here, as she doesn't even meet the bare minimum for a waitress at any restaurant.

I came for dinner on a Saturday at around 5 PM and it wasn't busy at all! They had music playing and it was an overall quiet environment because there was only a few other tables filled. We were seated immediately and had to scan a QR code for ordering our food. I ordered a Beef Pepper rice, the Cucumber salad/kimchi, and the Chicken Karaage (I promise, these were split with a friend). Beef Pepper Rice: 7/10. The taste was pretty good! I had a small issue with the beef and the rice getting stuck to the pan and burning a little. It was nice to have a little crispy rice at the end of my meal, but the burnt parts of the meat weren't too pleasant. I recommend mixing it as soon as you get it so you can get the meat directly off the heat asap. I added a bit of all the sauces to add some flavor, but it was overall a very basic flavor and enjoyable! The portion isn't as large as I thought it was, so the price is a little questionable. Cucumber Salad: 8/10. My friend and I both agreed the cucumber salads are better when they're not too salty and more basic tasting. The cucumbers were very refreshing and, if anything, a little less salty than preferred. But it was a stark contrast to the hot food, so I would definitely order again! Chicken Karaage: 8/10. I loved the portion of the chicken! It comes with a mayo-based (?) sauce and the chicken came out piping hot. It had a nice flavor and kinda reminded me of popcorn chicken (in a good way). I would also order this again! I walked out of the restaurant not too full even if we finished all of the food, so I'm not sure if the price justifies my return. But I love that Sizzling Lunch has so many side options, so I'd want to come back and try more of them.

Absolutely a delicious meal! Seated promptly with friendly team members. The restaurant was packed and very well prepared. Our meals came out quickly and were steaming hot!! I got pork belly and my partner had the salmon. We were a little apprehensive about the raw meat situation until we realized that our food cooked very fast on the cast iron skillets. So tasty!Lots of families, couples and single diners here. Very accommodating for everyone. Can't wait to come back!

can't go wrong with the beef udon!! quickly seated and served. My second time coming here! tried out the ribeye for the first time and we also ordered the beef udon with kimchi and cheese. The ribeye wasn't my favorite, the beef udon never disappoints! Don't forget to add the strawberry sugarcane juice, it pairs perfectly with the savory meal! They no longer have the tablets, you are easily able to order through the QR code! The servers are friendly and helpful!

This is such cool chill place and the service is very welcoming. I always say, I'll be back and yup this my 3rd time and bringing fam and friends, their reaction is wow, this is so tasty! Yes, it is. Try and appetizer along with a main dish. My favorite is Curry chicken katsu. Highly recommend this friendly eatery.

Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday and surprisingly there was no wait. However, as the time passed, there was a small wait. We ordered the beef pepper rice and beef udon. They got our order incorrect and added green onions to our beef rice when we requested none but they were apologetic and changed it out immediately. We also got an order of their spicy garlic chicken wings. This came out a bit after we received our food, although it was supposed to be an appetizer. Everything was really good. Chicken wings were super juicy and had a great flavor. It wasn't spicy at all. Towards the end of the meal, both the rice and noodles were crisping up. The udon was a little too greasy for me. You can see puddles of oil at the bottom. This did not happen for the rice option. Overall, vey fulfilling lunch and a fun experience!

When patrons are treated with respect, kindness, and professionalism, they are inspired to return and explore other menu options. The staff demonstrates a genuine commitment to ensuring a truly satisfying dining experience. Although the food lacked a wow factor, it was nonetheless a delightful culinary experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The establishment boasts a beautifully well-lit atmosphere, tasteful decor, and maintains a pristine environment. It is worth noting that this venue can become exceedingly busy, so it is advisable to avoid peak hours during weekends. We look forward to visiting again in the near future.

This spot is like a little slice of Japan! The beautiful wood-accented interior feels cozy and authentic. Ordering is super easy--just scan the QR code, customize your sizzling plate, and you're set.The menu offers meats, seafood, udon, rice plates, and katsu curry, with add-ons like garlic butter, an egg, or curry sauce. Don't skip the house sauces--spicy miso and garlic soy are must-tries! I also liked how they topped off my garlic beef pepper rice with crispy bits of garlic. So goood!Service was fast and efficient with our food arriving in under 10 minutes. The staff were attentive and asked if we were first timers, kindly explaining the process to anyone who hasn't had a sizzling lunch plate before. They are quick to refill with water too.For about $20 per plate, I was definitely full and had more than enough to take home for later.

I love coming to eat here! You order on the qr code and usually the food will come out in a short few minutes. The staff is friendly and is always making sure we're enjoying our meal. I've gotten lucky and only come when it's not too busy but I can imagine they get busy during dinner time! Parking is easy as it is in a plaza with a few other places.
