Was in town in SF for the weekend for a family friend's funeral . Knew it will be a hectic day for us.I Communicated with Sitha a few weeks before my arrival . I really don't have any special requests, just left it to sitha to create a menu for me and my family based on what's in season and for her to surprise me. Sitha delivered some food to our Airbnb in time for dinner . The menu:- kaw Trey saht chrouk beh Choun (braised fish and pork belly) -stuffed chicken wings kreung ( lemongrass paste ) -stir fry clams-haal Leah (Cambodian sun dried clams ) -raw bloody clams with prohoak ( fermented fish dip) -steamed rice I never had raw bloody clams before, it was a nice touch with the Cambodian prohoak sauce . The braised fish and pork belly was delicious , sweet/ salty and savory . With the crunchy cucumbers was the family favorite dish. Of course the stuffed wings continues to be our family must order when we have a chance .

Checked out Sitha's at their East Brother Beer Company pop up and got the twako (sausage) and noodles with skewers. They were very friendly and food came out pretty quickly. Note: They only take cash or venmo for payment.Bomb flavors (especially their orange sauce). A tad bit pricey considering it's a popup and not a dine-in restaurant, but would recommend you check out Sitha's if you want to support a local business that has flavorful, delicious food!

Loved that there's authentic Cambodian food in the peninsula area now! The kitchen is located inside another restaurant and opened from Fri-Sun. I liked to do large take-out orders to feast with family so I was able to try many dishes. Lots of them packed with flavors but notable mentions: +Angel wings dipped in their special sauce +beef sticks + Cambodian sausages/Twa KoCan't wait to visit again.

BUSINESS WAS IN SAN BRUNO. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT IS LIKE IN RICHMOND. A year ago, there was an article that she was working out of a restaurant in Oakland. It's impossible to keep up with Sitha

An amazing spot that pops up Friday night and the weekend! Come try their authentic Khmer Cambodian food. It was my first time having straw shrimp and it was .My favorite item was definitely their beef skewer twice was marinated and perfectly tender.Overall the flavors were very different and amazing. I haven't eaten much Cambodian food but this definitely has its own flavor category. It's also nice to see familiar food like their Seafood cajun style. The owners use to be from Texas and worked there some time before coming back to the bay. Definitely a must try. Asian owned small business. Come taste the culture and see what khmer food is all about!Still so many items I have yet to try. Def will be back to try them all! They also have their own beef Jerky brand that comes in multitude flavors.

Cambodian FlavorsHidden within weekday only Pho de Nguyen in San Bruno, Sitha's Khmer Kitchen is serving Cambodian classics the likes of which the Bay Area hasn't seenThe menu features a diverse selection of appetizers and entrees with highlights including the raw shrimp and raw crab papaya salads as well as minced pork stewed fermented fish that one customer highly recommendedThe flavors are bold and strong with a savoriness balanced with hints of sour and sweet. Fish sauce is a prominent ingredient and herbs like mint and dill aboundOverall flavors are perhaps closest to Thai but not the strip mall Thai most of us are familiar but more the bold flavors I sampled at Nari in SFI think the twa ko may be an acquired taste and the Kwa is a touch sweet but the pork belly is deliciousSitha's is a flavorful find in the Bay Area and they plan to be a pop-up on weekends (Sat/Sun) at Pho de Nguyen until next yearHighly recommend a visit to try truly novel cuisine, sample unadulterated flavors, and give your taste buds a wake up call Bok Lahong Papaya Salad with Crab $24 ~ Noodle Papaya Salad, Green Beans, Tomatoes, Shrimp Paste, Garlic, Lime Juice, Salted Crabs, Fermented Fish mixed with Sitha's Khmerkitchen special sauce / Dancing (Raw) Shrimp Salad $17 ~ thin sliced shrimps w/ lime juice & spicy sauce, served with mint / Twa Ko (Cambodian Sausage) $17 ~ beef/rice/galanga/Asian seasonings served with pickled veggies / Slaap Moarn Borg Stuffed Chicken Wings $20 ~ Boneless chicken wings, stuffed with ground chicken, lemongrass spices, glass noodles served with pickled vegetables / Prahok Ktiss $24 ~ simmered minced pork in coconut milk, fermented fish, Kreung served with veggies / Kaw $18 ~ caramelized pork belly/pork knuckle w/ rice. Served with soft boiled eggs and bamboo shoots / Garlic Noodles $6Sitha's Khmerkitchen (San Bruno, CA)Sitha's accepts credit cards and is weekend only lunch and dinner as well as indoor seating only

We noticed this pop up Khmer/Cambodian place as we were parked right in front of Pho De Nguyen last week. I sure was excited because the photo display looked really good. The sausages, the jerky, the stuffed wings all looked amazing and promising. Unfortunately for us, we were a few weeks in on our meatless journey so we couldn't eat any of those even if we wanted to. FOOD:Disclaimer: I am in no way well versed in Khmer cuisine nor claiming to be. We ordered the Crawfish Etouffe and Cambodian Noodle. I thought the sauce in the etouffe was flavorful with a generous serving of crawfish. If you like some spice in your etouffe, this has zero kick, fyi. It would've paired well with steamed rice which we opted out due to a restrictive diet. The Cambodian Noodle was just okay. I thought the fish based soup was tasty on my first slurp, then I got confused really quick if they gave me the right order. The menu said it's served with sliced beans and bean sprouts and yet the bowl had none. It was all shredded cabbage, a handful of dill, green onions and a flower. The dill was very fragrant that at some point it's all I could taste. The kroeung (aromatic spice paste, usually with fingerroot, galangal, lemongrass etc.) also was too much. A couple of tablespoons was probably in there making the soup thick and more like a sauce. 2 stars just for the noodles and 3 for the etouffe. However, it's not their fault we had diet restrictions and we couldn't order more. I have to be fair. I cannot rate a local startup (family?) hardworking business on 2 dishes alone when they have so much to offer. But I want to get the word out there about this place thus the 4 star. This place has so much potential. Just check out their IG page and Yelp photos from the business owner and you'll see how appetizing their food is. SERVICE:I know they've been doing pop ups for months but I felt like it was their first night of service ever. I couldn't help it seeing them literally running in the small space all night, getting and giving incorrect orders and people cancelling the last of their orders because of the long wait. There's a couple impatient guys casually getting the drinks themselves from the fridge. A lot of action and a bit of chaos went on that night tbh. We were served a gumbo. Clearly confused, we asked why our order of crawfish etouffe w/o rice had shrimps, sausages and rice. Good thing we did not touch it because it turned out to be for the table next to us. One of the people from that table started handing tip$ shortly after ordering. It was as if they were trying to bribe the staff to get their food faster when literally everyone in the room has ordered prior to them. I don't see the point in flagging the obviously busy servers in the middle of service and contribute in disrupting the flow. They were not helping and making service worse for all of us. Who else does this?I am hopeful the staff would figure out and work on improving service sooner than later. Cambodian food is something I wanna explore more given we do not have a lot of it in the Peninsula. I am coming back for those sausages when I get back being a carnivore. When I do, I'll be updating this review.

On the menu, it's very clearly stated that the papaya salad came with the salted crabs for $17. When we got our bill, they charged us $25. The waitress with short and golden hair said we asked for the crabs. We were confused. We asked the waitress to bring us the menu and I showed her that on the menu the salted crabs were included in the papaya salad for $17. Then, she said, "That was a different type of crab, those were small crabs." Well! I questioned her back "Where does it say the crabs price and also why did you charge $25?" It says nothing on the menu. Then, she said "So do you want me to take this off?" I said "Yes, I only pay what the menu listed." Finally, she changed it back to $17 for the papaya salad with salted crabs. :)- The Cambodian Noodle was tasty but the soup was too watery and there is too little fish meat and veggies. It should be served with fish gravy and fresh vegetables. It is not authentic.- The Stuffed Chicken Wings was kinda burnt and dry. I think they made it advance and reheated when we ordered. - Kaw's flavors was good but the meat was tough and the pig feet had no firm texture. - The Papaya Salad was the best dish, very flavorful and nice texture. **Trying this restaurant once is enough :)

BEST Cambodian food in the Bay Area!! Stopped by because I saw a tik tok and decided to drive 40 minutes to come eat here. The service was amazing and the food was even better.Everything was so flavorful and presented so beautifully. First off the LIVE crawfish was HUGE and I love the dipping sauces that came with it - SO DELICIOUS. I would also get the papaya salad especially with the blue crabs. I love raw blue crabs and the owner told me the marinates them! The raw shrimp with the chili's, dill and mint paired so well together. Lastly, the garlic noodles had so much flavor and loved the garlic pieces in it. They also make fresh Cambodian sausage and beef jerky. I am definitely going to be a retuning customer - I can't wait for them to open a restaurant in the future!!

This is a pop up that takes place at Pho de Nguyen restaurants on Fridays, Saturday's and Sunday's. Got the pleasure of trying a bunch of dishes :Stuffed chicken - juicy chicken stuffed with delicious items. Probably my favorite dish here. Beef stick - tender beef on a stick served with a sweet sauce on the side. Garlic noodles - just as described , comes in a huge bowl and is great for sharing. Clams - clams were very small, the sauce was flavorful with it. Sausage - a little on the sour side Chicken sticks - also tender but the beef was better Overall, meal was very enjoyable. Cambodian cuisine is pretty hard to come by, so definitely give this place a try. Service is friendly and accommodating as well.
