Brittany, if you're reading this--thank you. Your review convinced me to get the hand-pulled sesame noodles, and for that, I owe you my deepest gratitude. Thick, chewy, and dripping in that nutty, velvety sauce, they didn't just coat my tongue--they ruined me. One bite in, and I understood everything. But those noodles were just the opening act. The sweet and sour fish fillet? My favorite. The perfect balance of tangy, sticky, and delicate, it melted in my mouth like a whispered confession. If food could pull you in close and murmur, "You belong to me now," this was it.And then, the Szechuan eggplant. Oh. My. God. Silky, smoky, drenched in a garlicky, fiery sauce that clung to my lips like a lover who refuses to be forgotten. Every bite was depraved in the best way.The Shandong chicken shattered beneath my teeth, crisp and golden before yielding to juicy, tender submission. The Mongolian beef? So smoky and caramelized it didn't just satisfy--it left me questioning every other beef dish I've ever had. Then came the salt and pepper pork chop, which played rough in the best possible way. Crispy, peppery, and utterly commanding, it demanded my attention and took it.By the time I reached the bottom of my plate, I was spent. Disheveled. Wrecked in the most glorious way. If food could provide aftercare, this meal would have held me close and whispered, "Shh... I've got you."Five stars. No notes. Brittany, we did it.

The shrimp egg foo young was very soft and juicy. The sesame paste noodles tasted like peanut butter, and the noodles were very thick. The greens were slightly salty. There was no wait for a Saturday lunch for a party of 2, but the restaurant was quite busy. The volume was slightly higher but still fitting for a casual hangout place. Overall, this is a decent Chinese American restaurant.

This restaurant doesn't just serve food--it serves full-blown, toe-curling pleasure on a plate. The hand-pulled sesame noodles? Thick, chewy, and dripping in a nutty, velvety sauce that glides over your tongue like a well-practiced lover. One bite, and suddenly, you're making noises usually reserved for the bedroom. Then comes the Shandong chicken, golden and crispy on the outside, juicy and tender underneath, with a sauce so tangy and addictive it should come with a safe word. And let's talk about the Mongolian beef--caramelized, smoky, melt-in-your-mouth tender. It doesn't just satisfy--it ruins you for all other beef. Every bite is a tease, every dish leaves you wanting more, and by the end, you're slumped in your seat, breathless, disheveled, and deeply, deeply satisfied. If food could give aftercare, this place would tuck you in and whisper, "Was it good for you too?"

My favorite spot! I love the braised green beans and Shan dong chicken. I was in China town and seen the extended waiting line which to me was an indication the food was worth the wait. And it was! I see why they have a huge returning customer base. The staff are great. Attentive and very friendly and the food comes out pretty quickly. It's a smaller size restaurant with only about 15 or so tables but parties are in and out constantly. I would totally recommend giving them a try when you're in the area.

I love this place!!! They have such delicious food! Great service and the food comes quickly! I got the Lotus Chicken Wraps. (Which is minced chicken, peas, onions and the dried noodles. Like what they put under the Mongolian beef.) I had to get an order of their... Dry Braised Green Beans to go. (Tender green beans dry braised with garlic and soy sauce, featuring a hint of chili and savory bits of preserved vegetables.) This is one of my favorite restaurants!!! They even have homemade noodles and potstickers. That they make fresh daily. A lot of people get their food to go. If you come to eat here, just keep in mind that it may take a little while to get seated. Depending on the day and the time of the day. It's very popular! Great place to sit down with some friends and have a good meal.

But since my first time dining here3 which was about a year ago, I have returned at least three more times including last week with my eldest daughters for lunch. We got the five course meal with beef and broccoli, salt and pepper shrimp, Shan dong chicken, and my favorite green beans with shrimp. I do not remember the other item. I do know that we got some a seafood soup which is really good it was really light...add a little chili sauce to it- perfect- and I like that it had spinach in it, lots of spinach I thought was a meal itself.

DEFINITELY a hidden gem in Oakland, the service is FAST and the food is made fresh and comes out piping hot! They speak very good English here. We ordered the hot and spicy chow mein with the hand made noodles for +$1, the shan dong chicken and the prawns with candy walnut. The noodles are really dense here. You can watch them make the noodles right at the front of the restaurant, and they use a lot of flour, so that's most likely why it's not as chewy as I thought they would be. They're good, but not amazing. They were actually better after I took them home as leftovers, left them in the fridge and then reheated them in the microwave because they had gotten "soggy" but not actually soggy. Overall, for something that every single review seems to talk about, I didn't think they were all that special. Because they were so dense they also didn't absorb the sauce or any flavor too well, until as mentioned before, as leftovers the next day. I'd pass on the hand made noodles if/when I revisit. The Shan Dong chicken was also nothing too special. It wasn't crispy, and was drowned in a sweet sticky glaze sauce. Good! But I wish it would have somehow stayed a bit crispy before it got to our table. It was still really good, but I would pass on this as well for next time to try something else! San Tung still takes the cake for fried chicken! The Prawns with Candy Walnut was excellent. Not too sweet, not overcooked and had a nice snap to it when you bit into a shrimp. Very delicious, and I'd highly recommend getting this!Overall, for the price, quality and portions, I'd have to give this spot a 5!

Came here with some crew after a recommendation. This place stays busy from sunrise to sunset and you can watch them make the noodles in the window! Bring your appetite because the dishes are huge. It's family style dining with a lazy Susan in the middle of the table so you can rotate the dishes. The best part is watching the servers zip around with the dumplings and other authentic dishes! You can see into the kitchen and even though they are so busy, they stay clean and fast! It was a really fun experience. Thank you to the entire team in Oakland! You are all amazing!!
