Service: I'm visiting from Maryland, but every time I come here, I make sure to see Judy. She's everything you'd want in a server--expert at grilling meat, friendly, bilingual, and always attentive. We ALWAYS ask for her!Food: Spectacular. This is hands down the BEST late-night spot in San Jose, Santa Clara, and Milpitas. The 우대갈비 is incredibly delicious--an unexpected find for a late-night restaurant. Their sister restaurant, Chungdam, is next door, but even after its renovations, I think Seorai is the better choice.

I decided to try out Seorai based on a recommendation. We arrived right when they opened, and the restaurant was mostly empty, with plenty of available tables. After being seated, we ordered our food and received it in a reasonable amount of time. The banchan was just okay, but we were disappointed to find that some staple items--like potato salad and pickled cucumber kimchi--were unavailable simply because they "didn't feel like making them."Everything was fine until the restaurant started getting a little busier. While we were still eating, they dropped off the check, which seemed a little premature, but we didn't think much of it at first. However, just five minutes later, they asked us to check out. When I mentioned that we hadn't put our card down yet because we were still actively eating, they just walked away. From that point on, we were repeatedly pressured to pay and leave, even though we still had a table full of food--both cooked and uncooked meat. What made this even worse was looking around and realizing that other tables, which had arrived at the same time as us, weren't being rushed out at all. When we finally asked why we were being pushed to leave, we were told they needed to accommodate a larger party. This was completely unacceptable because it was their choice to seat us in that area when the restaurant was practically empty. If they needed to plan for a big party, that should have been a management decision from the start, not something that led to customers being pressured to leave mid-meal. There were plenty of open tables elsewhere, so this made no sense. To make matters worse, when we asked to speak to the manager, Joy, she refused to come out and talk to us. Instead, we were just told "nevermind"--as if we were the problem. This whole experience highlighted how poorly run the restaurant is. Bad planning, bad service, and rude staff made for an incredibly frustrating dining experience. I took photos as we were paying to showcase all the tables they could've easily seated other people. Given the way we were treated, we will absolutely not be returning. If you value good service and a properly managed restaurant, I'd recommend going elsewhere.

friday right at opening not busy at all! we ordered the wagyu short rib, corn cheese, and pork jowl. definitely too much food for 2 people LOL but i'm glad they put the oz amount to help gauge how much to order!our server was very helpful and attentive. she cooked our meat well and reheated the corn cheese we ordered because it didn't come out hot. meat quality was good and i loved the variety of banchan. i think it would be more worth to come with a larger group since the portions are large. this spot is pricier than other kbbq places in the area, but the service was good so sometimes that's what you need!

Great place for a group and for kbbq! The meats were great, really juicy and tender and they had table service which was nice as most places are self service. I also loved the selection of banchan (side dishes too). However, the other dishes were a hit or miss, the kimchi pancake was ok, not the most tasty or crispiest I've had, and the army stew was good but not amazing. But we did really like the cold noodles!Overall decent pricing for the quality of meats but still on the pricier side.

I've only been to Seorai once but they make everything so easy. You just order food and the staff will cook it to perfection and make recommendations on how to eat it. Everything taste amazing and I love not having to worry about burning meats on the burner during my conversation.Food is tasty and seasoned perfectly. At the end of the meal, we ordered the kimchi fried rice to finish up the meal. It was so good even though we were already so full from all the BBQ. Definitely will need to come back to try more things on the menu.

I wish I got more pictures of the food because it was sooo delicious. The meats were juicy, tender, and well-marinated. The banchan were plentiful and flavorful. The kimchi pancake was fluffy, salty, and so yummy. The best part of the dinner was the incredible service. I love that the waiters come and cook for you, allowing us to relax and enjoy the dinner. Everything was also reasonably priced as far as kbbq goes. So good and will definitely be back!

Really decent Korean bbq place with top notch quality and service! I would recommend to go there if you are in the area. The meat quality was good but the pancakes were crunch as I like.

Geeeet the brisket! This was my first time trying Seorai. They had a pretty solid of meat options here; note everything is a la carte, not AYCE! We made reservations, but the store wasn't too packed for a Tuesday dinner. We got the beef combo set to share among 3, in addition to an order of seafood pancake on the side. This was more than enough for us, we ended up walking away with 2 boxes of leftovers lol. The brisket was definitely the best meat option out of the 3 meats that were included in the combo. Beef was super tender and I liked pairing it with the ssamjang! The seafood pancake was good, not great; I'd probably pass on ordering this next time. The servers were pretty friendly. They were quick to refill our banchan too. Ordering is done via an iPad on your table, and food comes out quickly overall. Ventilation isn't the best here, so be prepared to smell like BBQ!

Ever since BTS swooped all of the hearts and attention of every single girl around the world the interest of all things to do about Korea has exponentially grown (like my mother).. to feel more connected eating Korean food could help these wishful ladies (like my mother) feel more connected to these men which are almost as good looking as the marbling on the meats here.I've been to many Korean dining experiences and if you've ever been to Chungdam (father restaurant) this place is high end with an amazing dining experience, but I would have to sell one of my kidneys to dine in there.. Creating Seorai aimed to serve a younger crowd and stays open later. I've been here a few times and I love this place. High quality, delicious, and you won't have to donate your hair to eat here. Service is fast and they help cook the meets for you. I suggest you order a combo meal that includes a soup, salad, and some of their most popular cuts of meet. Tons of banchan and I suggest doing lettuce wraps which complimented the heavy cuts of meet cutting down that oily feeling. The cocktails here are great snd are quite dangerous because they're sweet and doesn't have a bitter taste at all. If you've haven't tried this place yet, what are you doing?!? I hope that you can love this place as much as I do and that you can trust my recommendation!

We were a table of 6 and had a reservation, which was fairly easy to make. This resident is location a shared plaza so parking can get a little tight on busy nights like the weekends. It's a decently sized location, but not super big. It's also pretty loud so you have to speak up when conversing with your group! My friends and I have been here a couple of times for special occasions. We like to get the meat combos and whatever extra platters we want. This place cooks the meats for you so you don't have to cook it yourself! The beef tartare is one of the best I've had in the area. On the night we went (Sunday), Service was a little slower but I think because of how busy it was. Overall, I'd def recommend this place if you're looking for a kbbq place around the area.
