Who would've thought that you could find authentic Salvadoran pupusas in a mall food court? I got this pan-fried cornmeal cake with a filling of beans and cheese, and the soft, gooey creation with a crispy exterior was topped with a sweet and tangy tomato salsa and curtido, a crunchy and spicy fermented cabbage slaw (my favorite part). The bright, fresh accompaniments cut through the savoriness of the pupusa, making for a well-balanced dish that came at a reasonable price!

the service was a bad experience, but the food was good except for the tamale because it tasted really dry.

Hubby and I was around the mall looking around and got hungry. We were already planning on going to get some crepes but had wanted to get some actual food in us. We decided to give Seafood Grill a try since we didn't want anything rice based or a burger. We weren't too sure what we wanted but saw that they had pupusas and tamales. We decided to go for that. The gentleman was very kind who took our order and you can see them cook the pupusas right in front of you.We got a pork pupusa with no cheese and some tamales. The pupusa was amazing! It was the first time I've had one and my goodness was it delicious! I would definitely go back for it again. The tamales was good as well, but at this moment, hands down the pupusas are my favorite. I would love to come back and try different ones from them as I see they have seafood pupusas as well. The staff was kind and friendly and we will definitely be back.

I'm not a snob, but typically I would not even think about writing a review for mall food court food. And even among malls, Southland is not the most prestigious, and probably is not a foodie destination. But, y'all. These pupusas are GOOD! Not "good for a food court", just GOOD. I got one bean and cheese, and one plain cheese. They let me know that it would be around 8 minutes. I believe in setting expectations properly. The prices are very affordable, too. The fries are the crinkle cut. Southland has my second favorite local movie theater, behind The New Parkway. And now it has my favorite pupusas. Solid winner for a low key night out.

Today's visit here was absolutely the opposite of what I've experienced in the past. I actually liked the food and the service was decent, but not tah-day, not tah-day!I found food in my hair! As that wasn't unpleasant enough, I took the food back to see what my options were. The man who takes the order wasn't there so I told the lady who prepares the food. She seemed annoyed and kept screaming out his name.When he came to the front, he was denying that it was human hair, saying that it was "chicharon" and that it's hair from the pork. I told him I knew the difference between human hair and pork hair. He kept asking where it was and adjusted his glasses.Eventually, after arguing with me, he asked if I wanted my money back. He only refunded me for one pupusa, when there were clearly two on my plate. I didn't want to argue anymore because I lost my appetite and appeal. I understand that hair happens, but to try to justify it and get defensive is just blatant poor customer service. Needless to say, I don't have a "hair" of desire to return.

Not too many pupuserias around. I was glad to run into this one. The food (pupusas) are made to order and cooked fresh in front of you. The people working are very pleasant. The restaurant is clean, there's lots of counter space to eat. ..We had the bean, cheese & pork pupuss, bean & cheese pupusa and the cheese & loroco pupusa. They were all delish! We also tried the seafood tamale, it was also good & they season the masa well. ..Will def come back to try out the other items. The Butterfly shrimps and chips look good!

Customer service was nonexistent. I walked up and he was watching a soccer game on the tv. He acted like I was a complete bother. There's no menu so I had to ask him what kind of pupusas they had. He was annoyed that I had the nerve to ask him. I've been wanting pupusas for awhile so I ignored his rudeness and still ordered. They make the food fresh and in front of you so I appreciated that. There was another guy there and they were extremely friendly to him. I'm giving two stars for the food because it was very good. Don't know if I would go again. Maybe if there's not a soccer game playing the service is better.

The guy working as cashier had a very rude nasty attitude not sure what his problem was!

The comments about rude customer service are true. I work in the mall so I come here a lot because one, it's affordable for me and two, it's a convenient spot to get food. The food is great, please do not get me wrong. However, there is one older man that works here that I order from every single time. He is extremely rude. I've worked in customer service all my life so I am kind to those having to work with customers a lot. I always have a smile on my face and order politely. When I give him my order he acts like I did something wrong to him and acts very snobbish. I've came here a lot trying to ignore it but my last order was my last straw. When I came to make a comment on my order, because it was made incorrectly, he was extremely rude and was blaming it on me. And I've seen him act towards customers like this too who have complained about their orders. No sympathy at all and I really was taken aback. Eventually he refunded the money for me but the way he acted was so rude. Great food, horrible service.
