I truly loved pairing their rich drip coffee with a delicious ham and cheese croissant.
The pastries are so good!!

As I write this review, Sasha Coffee's reviews are all five stars. My four-star rating reflects my desire to be contrary, plus the miscellaneous fact that Ben was totally out of butter croissants at 9AM on a Monday morning. His coffees were excellent, and I do agree in principle that this is a 50-star operation! We walk by this kiosk each Saturday morning on our way to the Berkeley Farmers' Market. Sasha Coffee has been closed on Saturdays, but it was open last Saturday as an experiment, to see what kind of business would come by. We had just had coffee and therefore passed on the opportunity to try out SC, but we resolved to come by a couple of days later -- and we did. I can report that there seemed to be plenty of customers on the Saturday in question. I hope that Sasha Coffee decides to continue his experiment; if it does, we'll stop by again on our way to market shopping. On weekdays, this block of Center is quite busy. There are plenty of people going in and out of Berkeley City College, which is just across the street, and lots of customers at the bike kiosk, which is adjacent to Sasha Coffee. The BART station probably results in foot traffic on the block. This is all very good for Downtown Berkeley and excellent news for Sasha Coffee. As was at least suggested above, we stopped by on a Monday, the first weekday after the Saturday experiment. My positive comment on the coffee stems from our view that the expressos are "sweet" -- not like the bitter drinks that I've had in nearby establishments. Ben pulls fantastic shots, and the Sasha roast that he uses seems to be a big winner.I recommended Saha Coffee to some friends, who came by for the cherry cold brew and really liked it. I recommend Sasha Coffee to all.

Quick Summary:- Within walking distance from the BART station- Coffee is not sour- No indoor seating but there is a long, artistic bench outsideA very good coffee near the BART station for a quick walk to go your way. There are only outside benches right next to the coffee shop, so you can wait or take a break in your steps. If you are looking for a place to open your laptop and study, I recommend somewhere else because there aren't tables. The coffee is my type: hot and not sour. I ordered a latte and requested it in a medium cup. Definitely will come by again

Update: this place ruined espresso for me. I keep trying espresso at other places (I don't live in the area) and nothing compares. It's too good. You've been warned.

sister cafe to the famous haddon hill cafe, sasha is setting its own high standards in berkeley. visited here for the first time today, and was left wondering why you would bother getting coffee/snacks from anywhere else. they roast their own beans, make their own outstanding pastries, and they couldn't be friendlier. sasha may be small, but it definitely packs a punch!

Love this cute little spot! I heard of this location because of my love for their original location at Haddon Hill in Oakland and was excited to check out their new location! I normally get almond lattes, but there was only the option of oat milk. I gotta say, I normally avoid these like the plague, but it was actually nice and tasty! I also got a scone, which they make themselves and was delicious! Would highly recommend stopping by if you're in the neighborhood, and grabbing a coffee and a delicious treat!

This friendly small independent coffee/pastry shop front is the real deal. It makes the best Italian coffee in Berkeley that I have found and the croissants are also excellent.
