Very disappointed in the produce at the location. I bought fruit and two days later it was molded which is very frustrating because the prices are a bit inflated $17 on two packs of berries and one pack of strawberries is crazy! The avocados are always super soft and on the brink of spoiling while in store. They can use more fruit options as well. Most workers here barely speak English and it's hard to communicate. The prices need to be updated and more clear if it's by weight or each. The store is very crowded as well

This place is the go-to spot for delicious food, fresh meat and produce, and overall traditional Mexican items. My dad started coming here probably about six years ago to get fresh meat for the cookout, the Carne Asada is great quality here! I honestly would recommend anything in the meat department, everything I've ever gotten is really fresh and high-quality.I rarely go to the attached Taqueria, but today I was craving tamales and they also have really good food that my partner wanted to try. He got the large menudo, 1 pork 1 chicken tamale. I got one cabeza taco and one al pastor. The cabeza was pull apart and tasted really yummy, but Al pastor had so much flavor I would highly recommend both as the tacos come with two full-size tortillas, for three dollars the amount of meat they put on there is totally worth it. My only complaint: they didn't add oregano, chili pepper flakes, onions or limes as traditionally included with menudo to go. Thankfully I had everything at home.

This is my favorite little neighborhood store. I don't think there's been a week since they opened I have not gone here for something. Their fruit is cheap and good, their house made guacamole is a must try, and you've got to get their beans. You can tell they make them. They sell all kinds of different stuff at the meat counter, from shrimp to chicken fajitas. Every time it's the day before a holiday there's a long line to get in, so plan ahead. I like that they open early too. This is one of the best places in town. It's really small, but has everything you need to make a meal.

I haven't tried the taqueria yet, although it looks appealing. Reading these reviews makes me scared to try it. I did, however, stop by to look for some peppers to make posole with. It's so hard to find guajillo/ancho peppers but this place has everything you need. I don't know if it's expensive or not since I haven't found them in other places but because I found it here, they deserve at least 4 stars :). Will try the taqueria food sometime soon as I do come to the boba place next door, Feng Cha, occasionally. If you haven't, do try Feng Cha.

This review is mostly for the prepared food area (taqueria). This is a quaint neighborhood Mexican mart, similar to Chavez markets and Artegas just down the street. 1/3 of this small market is the taqueria and looks like it is a big draw for them.1 star for the taqueria (the food). 4 stars for the grocery mart as it seemed very clean and organized. I especially liked the meat counter as it looked clean, well stocked and organized. All parts of the chicken, broken down. All parts from Mr. Piggie, all broken down. 3-4 types of tripe, yasss, you are not in Kansas anymore mr/ms suburban citizen. Even the salsa area in the cold deli case looks very promising, many different colors and varieties. I will be back for these! But a sampling from their prepared food area left me hanging...big time. I thought it was going to be a hit because how can a market this authentic mess it up, right? So I order 3 tacos at $2.30 ea. At that price, I knew they were going to be on the heftier side, and they were. Actually for the price, the amount you get is very generous. Unfortunately for the price, the quality was also MIA.Got three meats to sample: carne asada, best of the bunch with it being totally average. Hardly any browning and a tad bland. But with their salsa this was salvageable as it added flavor and moisture. Carnitas looked promising, as it was in nice hunks and not shredded. But those nice hunks were flavorless and tough. I think they use a super old animal as the fibers just seemed tough. Even the salsa couldn't help this. I only ate 1/3 of it.Barbacoa is usually like a beef pot roast, so it is pretty juicy. It usually drips down my chin and onto my wrist. It's a mess but I usually love it. Here it was worse than the carnitas, tough and dry. How you take a braised item and make it dry, is a f&%#'n mystery to me. The last 2 tacos were so bad, that I don't want to venture and try the other items like lengua and pastor. Which is a rarity for me. They made me *scurred*.Also tried a bite from a pork tamale that was ready to go from a steaming area for a whopping $2. At that price I figured what the heck. But this was dry as well and a tad salty. A bit too long in the steam table is my guess. Not a good outing this time around, oh well. But I will be back for their market, as I like to cook and experiment. And since Mi Pueblo couldn't make it in this town, I'm more than glad that I have to support the smaller fish. And since I haven't really shopped here YET, I'm rounding down until an update. They should have 2 posting areas, one for the market and one for the taqueria.

This review is for their Carniceria or Taqueria specifically for their chicharon...i was supposed to come back to their store to complain about this but i have no time as i come home quite late..i used to buy it from other Mexican stores nearby but my sister kept boasting how good their roasted chicken was.. well it was good yeah but not something i am gonna go to their store just for chicken. Well anyway i have attached here the picture of the chicharones i bought usually this wont last even a day well yeah the bag still full like only three pieces been eaten. I took the picture this morning and then tossed it...well it was not like it was not crunchy but it tasted disgusting.. the oil they used was old so it smelled nasty and old. Maybe their cook was saving them money and chose to use oil that been reused for quite sometimes. My Mexican hubby got stomach upset after eating it too.. next time I have to taste it before buying..

I had a very bad experience with the "manager" her name was Maricela. She does not give good customer service, is rude, and is not a good listener. Hopefully, she does not stay as a manager for long, or the Santa Fe market will lose all her customers.

This review is for their customer service only. The produce, carniceria, and taqueria are pretty good! The cashiers, mostly women are super rude (Anyi was the cashier that helped me out during this encounter). They mumble whatever the hell they say to you and when you ask them to repeat themselves they give you an eye roll. I was scared her eyes were gonna roll to the back of her head. Either they're always pissed and miserable or tired. Maybe a combination of both. Whatever it is, their mood just isn't it. Anyways, after taking out her frustrations on me and my groceries, this girls attitude completely changed, like a complete 360 as soon as she saw the guy(s) behind me LOL. Like, okay, I see where your priorities are.Long story short, don't go here expecting stellar customer service, because you most likely won't get it.
