Today's review is for the cheese steak sandwich. A client of mine who also frequents the Sandwich Zone really put me on when he recommended the cheese steak. It is pretty damn good and everything I expect a cheese steak to be; cheesy, meaty, juicy, and rich. I can totally see why it's his favorite and I'll definitely be treating myself to one here and there. Note: There will be a small cheese pull when you open that sandwich up. A little cheese pull never hurts :)

This is a pretty good place to grab a quick bite for lunch. The people at the counter are nice and sandwiches are freshly made. Depending on the sandwich, they usually come out warm. The wait isn't too long, but it also depends on how many in-person and online orders are ahead of you. There are a bunch of options for sandwiches and a build-your-own option if that's of your liking. My go-to is always the chipotle chicken sandwich which is very tasty! The prices are reasonable and the portions are quite filling. Just be aware that there's a 3.99% credit card charge regardless of how much you spend, so try to bring cash if you're planning on coming here. Another note to add is that the UC Berkeley Perimeter Line bus stop is right in front of Sandwich Zone. If I was lucky I would just catch the bus to get to my next class after getting a sandwich.

Solid sandwich location. Good price to portion ratio. The staff slice the meat when ordered. The bread tasted fresh. It's right by the Cal campus. It has limited hours and close by 3 pm every day. They're closed on weekends. There are a few tables upstairs and two small ones in front. Definitely a quick bite to eat type place. Would not recommend large groups. They do have Wi-Fi so if you're alone it wouldn't be bad. Would come again for a sandwich

First time today and I will not be going back. Look at how little turkey is on this turkey sandwich. 1 cold cut that doesn't even cover the bread. I can't believe they had the gall to charge me $12 for this sandwich! It's offensive. Do not waste your time or money at this place.

I have recently been on an adventure to try every sandwich place around Berkeley and Sandwich Zone has ranked up in my top 5! It's a small storefront but has an upstairs area with tables. I got the Richard Dagwood and the sandwich was packed! Bread was really soft and ingredients were fresh. The food is reasonably priced. I recommend bringing cash because there is an extra charge (3.99%) for using a credit card. The owners are the kindest people. I went near closing time with a group of friends on a Friday and the man brought out a tray of cookies for us :)

Love the vibe, paid $30 for two lattes with up charges, a burrito, breakfast sandwich, and a cookie. food was pretty good and my breakfast burrito was really big! my friends croissant looked small but he was full. i liked the size of my double latte at 12oz

ROACH in my chai latte- DO NOT COME HERE - I ordered a Chai Latte from the place, I've been coming for a few weeks now. The staff are kind and it's clearly locally and/or family owned. To my surprise, after a couple sips, I spit this out! I am appalled and disgusted because I've been coming here for a few weeks now! STAY AWAY! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Brought my grandsons here for an early lunch and they loved the sandwiches. They are both very picky eaters so I was surprised. But we all three enjoyed our lunches. And the staff was very nice and accomodating. Will go back again soon.

my boyfriend got the richard's dagwood sandwich and i got bobs bagel with capers and it was DELICIOUS! the owners were so sweet and gave us each a free cookie if you're looking for a quick, delicious and cheap (!!!) bite i 100% recommend !
