Please GET A WORKING PHONE NUMBER !!Although I only get a couple things in there during the week, a neighbor, who is apparently not good in following directions, left a blue IKEA bag with this store for me. She apparently was unable to correctly get the address...., ok,.. but I googled and got this market, but no working phone. Otherwise, yes. I enjoy getting a cold beer in here. Especially on hot days !.. I like the store. Good service.

I wish I knew the guys names who work here. They're great, and I need to say that they treat me like family. Excellent selection of wines and other beverages. They have every flavor of incense stick you can imagine. Casual neighborhood meeting spot - right next to the Korean spot. Always some good people hanging out and saying interesting things. Usually I get alcohol here, but sometimes we also get change for the laundry. Definitely stop by if you're visiting Oakland and need to pick up a couple of items.

This review is solely for their UPS pickup and dropoff service: they are courteous and efficient at this, and they always check ID.Living in a neighborhood where packages sometimes grow legs and walk off on their own, they provide a valuable community service.

Look, this isn't just a liquor store. It's a liqua STO'.And what makes a liquor sto' a liquor sto'...is the people hangin inside and outside. This place has character, has depth, has hella crackheads & ghetto kids. Let me tell you...In the 5 short months, I've been going there-- I've seen some fights, domestic violence, and drug dealing. It was like, Oakland was welcoming me with open arms. You can find all the goods your needs. Booze, frozen foods, canned goods, bread, incense, (don't wanna talk about the produce), house hold cleaners & supplies. Oh and swishers for your blunts...if you need.

This place creeps me out. My humble abode is located conveniently right in the middle of like 30 different liquor stores, but the closest two are Choice (love it!) and Sana (creeped out!). In theory, Sana should have a lot of things going for it. It's bigger than Choice, so if I need a dairy product or processed meat of some kind, Sana is more likely to have it. So it gets a star for that. However, I'm more likely to encounter a crackhead who wants some of my newly-purchased Cheetos in front of Sana than I am in front of Choice. I'm also more likely to find the guy working the counter really skeevy at Sana. And on our neighborhood listserv, some guy said that he got followed home to 37th Street by some kids who were loitering in front of Sana who then mugged him at gunpoint outside his house. Which is a little more than just creepy.I guess there's just something about crossing West Mac that makes everything on the south side creepier. This little lady will be sticking with her beloved Choice, thanks.

They charge $1.25 for Arizona Iced Tea- even though the cans have .99 cents printed on them. When I pointed this out, the owner made a racist, dismissive comment.I have never been back, and never will (except when my dog needs a store to crap in front of!)
