I accompanied some of my company's new hires on a tour yesterday. Because I'm a native of San Francisco, I contemplated lying about where I'm from just to see if I could catch our guide sharing inaccurate or exaggerated stories. Suffice to say that I was completely blown away by Stuart's deeply researched knowledge, family history in the city, and passion - so much so that I am planning to recommend this tour to my own friends and family who have also lived here their whole lives. My colleagues even commented afterwards that they probably know more about San Francisco now than their own hometowns.

Great tour by Stuart this past Saturday. I was impressed with his friendliness and deep knowledge of San Francisco, but esp with his 'our of the box' thinking when it comes to how he runs his tours. I also loved the small group size and that he provides some pictures of what this city looked like at specific points in time. Highly recommend it!

We spent a great afternoon touring San Francisco and learned so much about its history. Our guide Stuart was super friendly and personable. We really enjoyed his enthusiasm and love his for his city. We stumbled upon a free walking tour and got a sneak peek at this company's other great tours. We usually lean more towards free tours but... we loved this tour so much we'd venture to say we would try out one of the food+beer tours! It would be money well spent considering the quality of the tour.

This original tour with Stuart was a great value, and was unique for a couple of reasons: 1. the groups are small so it's easy to see and hear what is being said---and2. You don't want to miss a word of the fascinating stories and info--including Stuart's own family's part in SF history. 3. You get to see sights that you will not find unless a local shares them with you.4. You get to enjoy samples and treats along the way! A great guide, a great tour, very fun way to spend an afternoon and definitely a "do again!"

I can't rave enough about the Parks, Pints & Politics Tour. Even though I'm native to San Francisco, I learned so much about the city and got to explore sights I hadn't seen before. Between all the pictures from decades ago of the places we visited, architecture commentary, insider's tips, and even beer recommendations, Stuart knows an unbelievable amount of interesting facts. Plus, he delivers all the information in an enthusiastic and approachable way- nothing about the tour felt scripted or memorized. It was more like having a conversation with someone who just clearly loves his city! I especially liked the small group size, because Stuart is a people-person and really cared about getting to know us. That's something I feel like is missing from most tours, where you're just being herded around. Because of small size we were able to visit small breweries, graffiti alleyways, and shops that are off the beaten path (all of which Stuart has an inside connection with- he's friends with everyone!), without looking like tourists. If anything, it felt very true to form for an SF afternoon as a local- relaxing in parks, grabbing some beers, and enjoying time with friends. For newcomers to the city, or natives like me who were naive enough to think they already knew the city well enough, do yourself a favor and sign up for this tour! Thanks Stuart!

Parks/Pints/Politics tour: Stuart, our impressive and articulate, San Franciscan tour guide took us on a walking journey through the Haight-Ashbury, Castro and Mission neighborhoods and spoke of our unique history, traditions and the people/cultures that make SF one of the greatest cities in the world. As SF natives, we were enabled to travel to wonderful gems such as Corona Heights; Graffiti alley, speaking with local artists; and tasting beer at charming and hip breweries. Most of all, we were encouraged to love our city and continue to help make it better place for all to live and love. Truly this is the best tour we have taken!

Stu is such a vibrant personality and he knows SO much about San Francisco, both historically and on a person day to day level. Every activity I've done with him in SF had been a literally blast, you will not find more fun tours!! He will also go out of his way to accommodate you and make sure everyone is having a great time and has what they need. If you need any recommendations or anything for your trip he will have the best ones as well.

Stuart was a great guide! We took the tipsy original tour and enjoyed ourselves, especially since we got to leave work early to enjoy the weather. I've lived here my whole life and had no idea about the POPOs! Going to go to a different one everyday at lunch time. Recommended for anyone who is either a tourist or local looking for a good time to eat great food and booze up!

We recently did a tour with Stuart. He as noted is extremely engaging and enthusiastic. We are not necessarily individuals who are the most bubbly but Stuart knows how to stitch a group of disparate people together for a few hours. His tour is well thought out and his stories and pictures thoroughly informative and entertaining. We have been on many tours particularly abroad where the guide goes through the motions and therefore truly enjoyed spending a few hours with someone who came across as a true native showing his friends around and having a great time doing it.

See, taste and learn about the city of San Francisco! This walking tour of the city takes you to places only the locals seem to know about all the while providing samples of incredible cuisine from Jackson Square to the insanely delicious Italian deli, pizza and pastry shops of North Beach to dim sum in Chinatown. But even better than the food is the guide, Stuart. This young man knows San Francisco history because he and his family in many ways are San Francisco history. His passion for the city comes through at every stop and being able to tie it all to his own family's history back to the mid-1800's makes it all the more personal and interesting. We can't recommend this enough and I am already looking forward to the next time we can take a tour!
