Update:The owner reached out to me after my review and was super nice about the whole situation. They apologized for what happened which I really appreciated. It's clear they care about their customers and want to make things right.I still love Rush Bowls--especially the Oakland location--and I'll definitely keep coming back. Everyone has off days, and this response showed me how much they value their customers.Original Review: I absolutely love Rush Bowls and visit the Oakland location about three times a week. Today, Thursday at 2:40pm I decided to try the Berkeley location, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The girl who handed me my bowl was incredibly rude. It seemed like she was having a bad day, and it definitely showed.When I asked for a bag for one of the bowls (while planning to carry the other), she didn't say a word. She handed me one bowl, tossed the bag on the counter, and walked away without a single word. It felt unnecessarily rude and unprofessional.I was super excited and in a great mood to get my bowl, but her behavior really put a damper on my day. Customer service matters, and experiences like this can make a big difference. I hope this location improves in the future.

Delicious bowls, easy vegan substitutions, friendly staff...but why did I find 3 separate hairs in my bowl NOT belonging to the staff that day? It's easy to tell because I've only ever seen one person working at a time, which can make service a little slow, understandably. Luckily I didn't care enough at the time because I was hungry so I ate it anyway (after picking out the hairs because I'm only a little disgusting) but if I found a 4th hair you can bet I'd bring the bowl back and ask for a new one!...Which might also carry the risk of more hairs...

I have been craving an açaí bowl and this did the trick! First time trying this place and it won't be the last. I got the jungle bowl and it was delicious! I chose strawberries as my +1 topping and hopefully next time I can add bananas as well. Even with the high school lunch rush the wait time was short. If you're looking for a refreshing snack, definitely check this place out!

Randomly walked into Rush Bowl with a friend after a hike was greeted by the owner who was extremely friendly and took time to explain the menu to us. The establishment was very clean and inviting. I ordered the Jungle bowl with bananas and almond butter. I also purchased a local Black owned magnesium water "Zenys'" which was refreshing on that hot day. There was seating outside for us to enjoy our smoothie bowl. There was also plenty of street parking. Overall, the Smoothie bowl tasted so good and refreshing, and service was great, I will definitely be back !

Small cute store -- come support the business. Personally not a big smoothie person but best fruit bowl/smoothie place in the downtown Berkeley area! Fresh ingredients, fast service.

Love this place, great people, the bowls and smoothies are very good. Also try the protein snacks, I had to go back and get more of them.

Bowls are delicious and Kristen the worker is extremely great worker and makes enjoyable and delightful to come in! I would recommend everyone to try especially when she's there.

so so sad to be giving this location 3 stars. i used to get rush bowls EVERY SINGLE DAY, whether it be from this location or the oakland one. not sure if they hired new people or if their workers stopped caring, but every time I order a bowl here, it's wrong. I get double almond butter + strawberries every time -- I've been getting a tiny teaspoon (not exaggerating) of almond butter + a mountain load of strawberries (can't even close the lid). OR the almond butter has been beyond salty. Like inedible, someone accidentally dropped a salt bucket in there & said oh well. I am a loyal customer & this location is much closer to me. I really hope they resolve these issues because I can't be going to Oakland everyday but that location has never disappointed me.

Came into Rush Bowls the other day because I happened to be in the neighborhood. I was extremely pleased and delighted to interact with the young woman working. Nayla was kind and helpful, and gave great recommendations on smoothies to try. The store was playing excellent music and my smoothie was delicious. A 10/10 experience for sure!

Just had a smoothie, amazing drink so refreshing and team at this place is so friendly. Keep up the good work guys! You guys are amazing !!!
