Ruby Wine

Wonderful natural wine store with a large selection of interesting wines. The staff are super lovely and very knowledgeable. They have limited indoor seating and an outdoor parklet with a variety of wines offered by the glass. The ambiance is cool yet cozy. They frequently have DJs or pop up vendors on weekends that are definitely worth checking out.

A really cute spot in Potrero hill with a small outdoor area to sit and drink. They sell natural wines by the bottle and also by glasses for you to taste. The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable, explaining different natural wines and letting us try different ones. There is also a shop next to Ruby's wines that sells light bites and charcuterie boards that you can eat alongside Ruby's wines. I'll be coming back to try out more natural wines!

Cute spot to hang out and drink wine with friends! They have an outdoor seating area (there are lots of gnats though, so just be aware of that, and no heaters outside). Thought the prices were a little steep ($12 for a small glass), though the winter specials -- mulled wine and the cider (canned) -- were only $6 each.Good service, clean bathroom, but really small space indoors. Loved the string lights that turned out when it got darker! Very peaceful and not crowded at all, so good if you're looking for somewhere quieter to talk.

Really cool local spot in Potrero hill. We were next door for a bite to eat and was drawn to the dj playing a set. We stopped and got a couple glasses of Prosecco and listened to the last bit of the set. Pretty cool vibe and nice to finish off the night with some bubbles. Will come back for sure.

Super quaint shop, wide variety and great customer service and recommendation. Highly recommend this special place.

Disclaimer: I am a teetotaler. Even so, Ruby Wine is one of my favorite vibes in the city. They have an extensive natural wine selection and knowledgeable staff who give excellent recommendations. Wines available by the glass or bottle. Also, they have the best mineral water! There is limited indoor seating, but we scored a window seat on my recent visit. Additional seating in the outside parklet. We always stop next door for delicious focaccia and charcuterie to enjoy, which is allowed inside Ruby Wine. Our friends play records every so often (Latin and Caribbean music) which adds to the vibe. We love Ruby Wine!

A solid place to grab a drink in Potrero! Definitely not a cheap place but there are dive bars aplenty in PH if cost effective beverages are what you're looking for.It's great to sit in the parklet with friends and a good bottle of wine. Just make sure to bring layers since it gets pretty windy/chilly especially late in the afternoon. They've got a ton of natural wines to choose from inside to keep you there for some time. I do wish there were snacks as well but that's irrelevant to this rating. Overall it's a good spot to check out, especially when the store next door is open and you can buy food from them and enjoy it in the parklet!4 stars instead of 5 because I've had pretty inconsistent customer service - there have been moments with the staff seeming impatient/unhelpful with suggestions and moments where they've suggested bottles $10+ above the requested price point (which is kind of frustrating considering they have so many wines that fall in such a wide range of prices).

This place is rad! Amazing wine selection, intimate setting with a fun element. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Perfect for a date, friend meet up or day drinking spot. Owners are extremely familiar with selections, and make great recommendations. What a gem spot!

Finally made it here after living around the corner for years and noticing the crowds on a daily basis. They have a nice parklet in front. Otherwise I don't understand the attraction. Their wine selection by the glass is pretty minimal considering this is a wine store: 1 white, 1 orange, 1 sparkling rose, 2 reds. We got 2 glasses of the white without tasting first, what a mistake. It was almost undrinkable. I went back to make sure we got the correct wine. It looked more orange than white, a very off color for white. He assured me it was their white. The service was not very friendly either. We won't be back.
