The meat is good but the sides were very salty. I'll be going back at some point. I'm not happy but I'm not mad at the same time.

Ordered a 3 way. Only thing I liked was the ribs. Brisket & links weren't good. Mac, cornbread & greens also not good. Pretty sure the "BBQ" was oven cooked. Links tasted fried.

The best compliment somebody can give is that the food taste like home. From the moment you sink your teeth into their succulent barbecue ribs, you know you're in for a treat. The award-winning macaroni and cheese is perfectly baked, with a creamy texture and just the right amount of cheesiness. And let's not forget the sweet potatoes, (not too sweet) perfectly caramelized and bursting with flavor. The potato salad is perfectly made. Hotlinks have a little kick but still safe for anyone. Also tried the barbecue chicken, tri-tip, fries, cornbread and garlic noodles. Each dish is perfectly prepared, and well packed! Whether you're a meat lover or a seafood person, there's something for everyone at Ruby Jewels Catering.The service is friendly and attentive, they're only open Thursday - Sunday. I look forward to ordering again! Do yourself a favor and pay them a visit--you won't be disappointed! Only complaint I wish we found this place sooner!

I had to find out what the fuss was about. I might give them another try. The ribs were over cooked on the bottom side and they did not taste like they came off a grill. The potato salad, beans, yams and Mac & cheese were on point.

So I went online to Vallejo Community Group page because I was hurting for. Meat and three with Mac and cheese. This was recommended as a local spot that could give me what I wanted. They did not disappoint! Large portion that will be three meals for me. And I added a side of cabbage that was tender but not wilted with smoked sausage. Baked macaroni that still had body to it. Delicious candied yams. And three large pork ribs. I am diabetic so I'm used to low sodium and it was a wee bit too much for me, but the flavor was on point. And next time I'll get the bbq sauce on the side, I liked the flavor of the ribs as they were. Another plus, no long wait for the food. Hubs was gone and back before I missed him. Open, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

So many mix emotions about this place.I may go back for the chicken wings becuase it was garlicky goodness and fried just right while remaining juicy. The garlic noodles is heavy on salt and mushy, the ribs were over cooked and hard. :( I wanted to love this place but it's so hard when I can't eat 50% of my food.

Have ordered their $50 crab dish on several occasions. Food is typically tasty but today I purchased 2 crab dishes. The crab pieces (4) were smaller than my ring finger and dry. They had two additional larger legs but also extremely small. If the restaurant is unable to procure average size pieces then they should temporarily remove from the menu. I spent $134 for two plates of food and received crab pieces. I can't even call it portions. As previously stated I've purchased this crab dish several times from this restaurant and know what the portion sizes typically are. Extremely dissatisfied, last purchase. Too bad because the dish is usually pretty tasty. No value for the cost

Food was excellent. Ordered on DoorDash right before they closed and it was still fresh when I got it. Ribs and Tri-tip were tender and well seasoned. Links were great too. Yams and Mac & Cheese mandatory. Portion size was more than expected too. Highly recommend eating here.

I never write reviews but this place earned one. First off dude explaining the unwritten menu was kinda awkward not very personable. I got the oxtail special that was hardly edible and the gravy that was made for it tasted burnt. I had Mac and cheese and baked beans but the Mac and cheese was super salty and very dry. Baked beans tasted like bush's so edible at least. My friend got the Tri tip served well done that tasted like straight bbq sauce as it was totally smothered. Garlic noodles were a lil on the mushy side but two plates ran $60 bucks which is way too much for 6oz of Tri tip and 2 inedible oxtails. Never going back (Togo containers are average size for reference.)
