Rose Tea Lounge - Fremont

As a Bay Area boba fanatic, this is my go-to spot for milk tea. There are indoor and outdoor seats. The decor and lighting decor is trendy. This is a great place to socialize, but I've also seen people study/work here. For newcomers, a few tips: - Order at the 2 kiosks to the right of the counter, there are no cashiers. - Remember your order #. The service is spotty here and you will not always receive the text with your order #. Over the course of my visits, the quality of my drinks are consistent. My favorite drink is the Gyokuro milk tea, this is the only place I know of that has Gyokuro instead of just Jasmine/Green. 100% recommend!

An update as it's been a while since we've been here as well it's the only time we went here.Since we were nearby, we were needing an after lunch boba pick me up cause let's be honest...we all need a boba pick me up.There are two kiosks to order your drinks that's to the right of the pick up counter where it used to be a swing and a photo spot. It's just a tight fit. I think they meant it to have just one person in front of the ordering screen. Their ordering system is through Toast. There is now a seating area to the right for folks to hang out.Drinks generally come out in a fairly timely manner. I was just staring at the pickup area and wanted to clean the black slats beneath the counter. I also don't understand when they put a lid versus when they put a plastic seal. I saw them seal my drink then take it off and put on a lid while my other drink just got the seal. I wish there was an option on the menu to pick sealed versus lid because I often prefer a sealed cup versus a lid.I usually get my drink without sugar and no ice if I get a topping because for me, there is generally enough sweetness from the topping to sweeten the tea. I got a Golden King Oolong with Grass Jelly. It was just slightly oversteeped. Very slight, not enough to be unpleasant. It was definitely floral. My hubby got the Osmanthus with honey boba and less sugar and no ice. It was very floral. At which point we both wondered if there was any rose water added. But we did look up that both of these teas tend to have floral notes so it is on theme.I did read last time the tea kept me awake through the night when I drank it. So I was trying my best to drink it only in the mornings and only small amounts during the afternoon. I did finish more than half of it yesterday and I think it may have kept me up all night yesterday. So beware. If you are caffeine sensitive, the teas here can pack a punch.I don't think we'll be back again unless it's the only option and we're really craving boba. If we do come back, I'd be interested in trying something other than the oolong or even a non caffeinated drink. Just not my cup of tea, but perhaps it's yours, so try it out and see if it's good for you!

They charge for fucking ketchup! I hate it here never coming back again ever in my life! Great ambiance!

This used to be a Factory Tea Bar years and years ago the last time I was in Fremont I believe, but definitely it's one of those, you gotta believe the hype places! Even after ordering online, there was some wait and even waiting inside, it took some time to get the order ready. There are 2 touch screen kiosks on the side to order from, but even when it was barely after lunch, some of their drinks were already sold out, unfortunately. I got their Golden King Oolong Milk Tea with less ice and no sugar. Very subtle nutty, roasted oolong taste with floral notes and had it's own sweetness from the milk even at a 0% sugar level. Really goes to show the quality of tea that they have here. I also got their peach ice cream as a sweet dessert as well, but, as everyone knows at this point, you can get that at any Asian market if they have them in stock. There's seating inside and some tables, but it's quickly taken up as it's not only popular but there's lots of people waiting for their drinks. The interior looks very fancy and elegant (think of a higher class place in Vegas if that makes any sense). Wouldn't mind coming back to try more drinks and eventually some of their savory snack foods!

Rose Lounge was a super cozy spot, and the drinks I had was really good.One thing I really liked was that they offer multiple milk options at no extra cost. There's the usual whole milk and oat milk, but I was really curious to try the rice milk since it's something different. It had a unique taste and was definitely much lighter than the other two. I'd definitely like to try the whole milk next time too because they do use high quality Straus milk.There's no interaction with staff whatsoever because you order via a kiosk. We got the Kyoto Matcha Latte and the Ube Taro Fresh Milk. If you're a fan of Ube, I highly recommend the Ube Taro. It actually tastes like real taro was used, so it has that creamy texture and the drink itself isn't too sweet. I'd rate it a solid 4/5. The Kyoto Matcha was decent, but I honestly didn't get much matcha flavor from it. It was still a good drink, but I'd give it a 3.5/5.The interior of the lounge is also really nice. I think they recently renovated, and it feels super aesthetic and cozy. There's plenty of comfortable seating, making it a great spot to sit and hang out with friends. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by to chill and vibe.

Pretty nice boba place! First time here I already like it a lot! They also have this lovely photo shot spot with not much ppl waiting.I love their drink which is not too sweet and perfect taste! Service was good too, will definitely visit again!

This was such a pretty cafe! I was in dire need of a matcha anything in the area and chose to stop by here! They have kiosks at the front for you to place your order and then your number is called.It would have been nice to see someone and order, BUT also after traveling, it was nice to just get in and get out.I ordered their Dirty Matcha Latte with boba. I ordered with just 75% sweetness, but I probably could have gone down to 50%. This was still VERY good and even though it's very chilly and windy, it was still refreshing.

I came here after work with some friends and this place was relatively busy. There's some seating (both cushions and tables) and the interior seemed pretty cute! More like a late night hangout spot than a cutesy aesthetic, if that makes sense.You order at a kiosk and there are a decent number of options on the menu. I got the tie guan yin oolong tea with boba at 25% sugar. It took an outrageously long time for our order to come out (probably 30+ minutes). The tea tasted fine but the boba was way overcooked to the point where it was mushy.

Hands down, top 5 boba places in the Bay Area for me. The inside is clean and cute and the service is always quick. The boba consistency is perfectly bouncy, chewy, and sweet. I normally get the gyokuro green milk tea which is strong on the tea flavor. Their drinks aren't overly sweet like other boba places, so I normally get 75% sweet instead of my usual 25-50% at other places. If you're ever been to Orobae in SoCal, you'll definitely love this place.

Came back here after a year and decided to try out their coffeee. I went with the tiramisu coffee since I really like their tiramisu foam, but I wasn't super impressed with this drink. It was decent, but the coffee wasn't my favorite.But I was surprised to see the new indoor seating! There was a lot more room for groups and it's now actually a spot you can meet up at. Service is quick per usual, ordering at kiosk and number is called out when everything is ready :)
