Delicious and more unique Thai experience! Moo Tod with Jaew Sauce was delicious fried pork with some good crispy crunch and spices. Paired well with Sweet Corn Salad. For dessert I got corn coconut pudding which was interesting combination of salted soft coconut pudding with a more jelly corn base. Im craving it right now!I was scouting for some new interesting eats in Berkeley when I came across Rose La Moon. The menu is very unique and piqued my interest. One of the co-owners was there and he excitedly walked me through the menu and passionately talked about his favorite dishes while I waited for my order. I got my order to go, so I dont remember what seating was like.

This place is delicious. No frills, mom and pop store with the BEST mango sticky rice. A little stingy with their sauces but GENEROUS with their soft, abundant toilet paper. I kid you not, don't take it for granted

Everything was flavored well and balanced perfectly. Packed with umami and not too salty! Fast casual Thai food that is /actually/ good can be hard to come by, but this place does it well! The owners are so sweet and their desserts are really good too.For food, I recommend the Pad Krapow! The texture of Pad Kee Mao was really tasty. I wish I got it mire spicy, but overall very flavorful. For dessert, my favorite was the coconut cake and sticky rice with Thai custard. So delicious! I'll definitely come back :)

Rose La Moon opened where Quince was. 4ish table dine-in area. Order on kiosk near counter. No paper menu. Very inconvenient. Associate standing by with suggestions..Ordered. Paid. Food arrived within 10 minutes.Offerings: hawker street food, chef's specials, salads, wok entrees, sauces & sides, desserts, specialty cakes, specialty beverages.Sips: iced lemongrass-pandan tea (4.50)-slight lemongrass flava, subtle hint of pandan. Touts antioxidant benefits. Very sugary. Hype?Bites: hat yai quarter leg fried chicken with sweet & sour sauce (10.95)-leg quarter supposedly marinated, fried, served with shallots. Chicken meat moist, not juicy. No flava tasted. Sweet & sour sauce a distractionIn hindsight, adding s/s sauce too quickly a mistake. Fried chicken itself needs to be savored before adding sauce.Moo Manao salad (13.95) -poached pork pieces served over fresh sliced garlic, broccoli, cabbage, basil leaves with spicy green chile lime sauce, lime squeezes. -mixed it all up. Pork bland, tasteless. Lime & chilis overpowdered by strong garlic presence.*ate this later. Time may have diluted potency of all tastes except for garlic.Passed on desserts. Quantity best shared with friends.4 stars: fresh ingredients. Nice presentation. Taste test disappointing...affects value...after digesting owner's response....seeing a misread on my part of the complex nature of their cooking regiment. A revisit is warranted..owner gracious to explain their methodology...

Lovely service, fragrant fried chicken and a Thai tea dessert reminiscent of the feather-light Chinese bakery cakes. Food that punches above its small cafe weight.

I found this hidden gem while on a walk at work. I have since been back several times. The owners go above and beyond to answer my questions and help me try new things. The corn salad was so incredibly fresh and delicious. But the Pandam cake is truly a game changer. I will be dreaming about that dessert for the rest of my life, I swear. I love light fluffy cake and if there was a word beyond love- that's how I feel about cream, so this hits all of my marks. I love this place! Go support a local small business! Check them out.

You must come and try these desserts! The cakes in particular are SO fluffy and in true Asian dessert fashion, not too sweet. The coconut puddings are simply wonderful - the coconut on top is slightly salted and contrasts well with whatever flavor is underneath - taro, purple rice, or sweet corn. The savory food options look super delicious and I would love to try. Everything is reasonably priced and the owner (?) is incredibly sweet and helpful. So happy with this addition to the neighborhood!
