This is a very mixed bag for me. The good:-cool space with lots of room both indoors and outdoors and nice views of that water. -Far West Cider is here and is delicious. -decent food, though fairly limited.- people working are friendly and nice. The bad:- they sometimes close for events, and it's been hard to know in advance. They're pretty far removed from anything else, so can be frustrating to go all the way out there only to have to leave. - when we went last Sunday, there was an unexpected $8 per person cover for live music. I'm all for paying musicians, but that felt steep when the music didn't even begin for a other hour, and was the type of music you just find out and about elsewhere. - they have wine from several companies and pour glasses of a lot of different bottles. However, they appear to just keep all the bottles open with their cork in them until finished. So you could have a bottle opened same day, or it could be 2 weeks old for all I know. $15 for a week old glass of mediocre wine isn't good.Hopefully they'll adjust some of these issues and it'd be a great spot!

I went here for the first time because my partner had a gig playing music there. It was a surprise - so unexpected in the area where the WWII victory ships were built and launched and women (look up Rosie the Riveter) were instrumental in building the ships. The beer was very good. Service was friendly. I had no wait at all. Very relaxed and chill environment to spend a Saturday afternoon. The view was fantastic. Wear layers as it can get pretty cold there. Parking is easy.

If you haven't been to Riggers Loft, highly recommend checking out on a weekend exploration of Richmond. Tucked away in the Port of Richmond shipyards, this family-owned space is filled with love ~ there's music on select dates/times, a wine bar/tasting room, cider from Far West, delicious food, and epic views of the Bay.Chef Frank Miller is awesome ~ we chatted with him for a while about food, the space, and Richmond. Such a cool and talented person who whipped up an amazing wood-fired pizza and Brussels sprouts. A huge fan of Far West cider, there's nothing better than getting a tasting sampler and sitting outside by the water on a weather appropriate afternoon taking in the sips and ships! There's a little something for everyone here - when we came, there were a lot of families and larger groups celebrating life's milestones. Whether you're a wine or cider person, or just want to explore Richmond in a different way, Riggers Loft should have a spot on the list! There is plenty of parking and also views of the historic SS Red Oak Victory Ship. If you're planning an event, this space is also known for wedding bookings and more!

If you're looking for a spot with a clear view of San Francisco, this place has got you covered. Seriously, the view is unobstructed and it's a sight to behold (when it's not foggy). Even on the hottest day, it can get pretty windy out here. So, if you're planning a visit, don't forget to bring a windbreaker.Riggers Loft is home to wine and Far West Cider and they've got some tasty options to quench your thirst. Just be prepared to cough up around $15 for a drink. Yep, it's a bit on the pricier side. The food options, however, are a bit limited. Don't get me wrong, they've got your basics covered like pizza and fish and chips, but don't expect any fancy gourmet dishes. You're paying around $18 for something pretty basic, so keep that in mind. One thing that Riggers Loft has going for it is the open space. It's perfect if you're looking to host an event or just spread out with a big group of friends. All in all, Riggers Loft is worth a visit for the incredible view and the relaxed atmosphere. Just be prepared for some wind, bring your wallet for those drink prices, and don't expect a mind-blowing culinary experience. SYOY!

Took our neighbors yesterday afternoon to experience Riggers & they loved it as much as we always have! We had a reserved table & chairs in the outdoor seating area overlooking the S.F. Bay and the Richmond Harbor- so spectacular! The Blue Angels flew overhead for a couple hours in perfect formation to end Fleet week celebration. We heard a great Americana band while we ate delicious hot stone pizzas with salad and roasted Brussels Sprouts topped off with house made Beignets for dessert. Drank delicious wine and hard cider. Awesome afternoon!! Thank you, Barbara & Kevin. You have created a wonderful oasis in an amazing breathtaking location!!

i Had my 80th birthday celebration here on a Sunday afternoon in December! Great staff to work out the menu and table arrangement! And the stars were with us! Great weather and the party moved outdoors! The chef was great, both in terms of food offered, and in terms of planning with me for the menu! The person who works on setting up special events was very helpful.I highly recommend Riggers for an event!

Great spot with an amazing view of the bay. Quiet and sheltered away from traffic and city noises. large outside space to bask in the sun on a sunny day, and feel the sea breeze. The wine was not my favorite, but perhaps i'll try a different blend the next visit. They had Pizza that looked tasty to try as well. When I went there was a cover charge but they had a live band, which depending on what you're looking for is a plus or minus.

To discover Riggers Loft is like finding a jewel in a lotus. One arrives at the end of meandering Canal Boulevard in Richmond. A WWII mothball ship with a peregrine falcon nest awaits. A hidden red door leads to the spacious warehouse where once sails, now wine, are made. R & B Cellars is a world class destination by itself. The indoor/outdoor venue by the San Francisco Bay is spacious, comfortable, and gorgeous. The sunsets last hours and are spectacular. Come for friends and music and great food and drink! You will have discovered a memorable place to meet friends or host a gathering. And your lotus petals will open up, one by one.

We were nearby for a tour and saw it was open. We looked inside for a bit, wondering if they were really open and what their hours were. Then when another family came in, someone came over to talk to them, completely ignoring us. The guy didn't even look over or acknowledge our presence, and gave off weird vibes. Hopefully a nicer business can move in once they get evicted.

I love going to Rigger's Loft. The space is pleasant, wine is great, the location amazing, and when they have live music, it really adds to the energy/ambiance.Sometimes, it's difficult to get served. Not sure why that is, but it happens frequently.
