Rico Rico Vegano

Incredible. RRV will live rent-free in my head for a while. The tacos have an eye-watering beet red shell, and it's stuffed with all kinds of goodness. My favorite taco was the fake pulled pork. Also liked the cauliflower! The quesadilla was massive and great the next day too. It's hilarious reading everyone's complaints about the salsa being too spicy. I was graced with a tummy and tastebuds to handle a lot of spice, so I enjoyed every last drop of that green cilantro sauce, and I'd love to make it on my own.They are also committed to their employees and an honest business. The default tips were not inflated at 25% but very reasonably low. They've found themselves a repeat customer in me.

Visited on a Saturday around 2:00pm with a friend. There were a few groups waiting for food and one waiting to order but team moves quickly so wait times were pretty short maybe 5-10min. Seating is all outdoors, there were about 7-8 tables we grabbed one to eat there most people were doing takeout. Food: Chips and Salsa - comes with a generous bag of chips and a red and green salsa, chips were medium thickness, nice and crunchy with no greasiness, red salsa was spicy but not crazy hot, green was a bit more mild with more cilantro and herb notes both very tasty, would recommend adding to your orderAl Pastor Taco - saucey, the stewed hibiscus was savory in an almost mole like sauce, topped with grilled pineapple which added sweetness, guacamole which was creamy and rich, onions and cilantro, good overall wish there was something to added a little more texural contrast ate a bit soft, an extra tortilla would have helped as well Tinga - really good, the king oyster mushrooms had a great shredded meat texture and was flavorful, the lettuce and cabbage added a fresh crunchiness, cream and queso added creaminess, salsa provided a little heat, well balanced would definitely order again Service was good, quick and efficient order at the register, team brought out food to our table when it was ready which was a nice touch. Overall really enjoyed rico rico vegan, impressed by all the options to choose from, all the dishes had great flavor. Would definitely give this spot a try if you're looking for great vegan Mexican.

This place is so good that I went twice in one week AND didn't take ANY pictures.I told my sister that I had been craving a burrito like from our pre vegan days. She mentioned that her and my brother in law found this spot and really enjoyed their meal.San Diego has a few vegan Mexican spots but it tastes nothing like the spots in LA and now recently, like Oakland. Ordering online is super easy and my preferred way to place an order.I ordered:-Asada Burrito + Camaron with refried beans - Absolutely delicious and decent sized burrito. The shrimps are big!-Flautas - Says there is chikn inside, might be minced or maybe we just didn't get much in that order. Very flavorful otherwise, especially with the sauce on top.-Asada Quesadilla - comes with a side of pico, lettuce, and sour cream. Delicious. V cheese melts just fine and it's a big quesadilla.-Coconut Horchata - really good, not too sweet. I just need more Cinnamon in there and lot of it.It's a small restaurant inside but it's beautiful The seating is outdoors and the parking is limited but the food, although pricey (honestly it's on par with take out vegan food). I am loyal to El Cocinero in Van Nuys but this absolutely hits the spot!

I really enjoyed the beautiful pink tortillas and the plentiful amounts of vegetables and garnishes on every single taco! I ordered six different tacos to share with a friend, and we found most of them to be delicious! I loved the soyrizo taco, the hongo taco, and the camaron taco. So creative and yummy!A couple tacos weren't to our liking, and we wouldn't recommend...The hibiscus taco was very sour, so we weren't able to eat more than a bite of that one, and the king oyster mushroom taco was seasoned in a way that reminded us of Campbell Soup....Overall definitely will try more items in the future!!

Just not that impressive. Their guac is pretty solid, but I didn't come here for the guacamole. I came for a burrito bowl and chose the coliflor option and was super disappointed. Maybe I just wasn't a fan of the fried cauliflower itself, but the coating also absorbed all of the salsa and other liquid and turned into a textural googobbity mess. I wish that I could find something I enjoyed here because I like the concept, but concept ain't cuttin' it, they need to do better.

Rico Rico Vegano opened in Holy Land's vacated space. No inside seating nor decor. Outside seating 5ish tables.Order, pay at counter, food brought to table outside. Offerings: quesadillas, salads, sopes, burritos, plates, wraps, appetizers, aqua fresca, mex. Drinks, juices, kids' menu...Bites: tinga/al pastor tacos @4.75-pinkish huge corn tortillas filled with plenty of veggies, flavas, not much vegan "meats". -al pastor, small shreds of marinated hisbiscus, accompanied by onions, cilantro, guacamole, pineapple had lotsa hot spiciness. -tinga had sauteed pieces of oyster mushroom mixed with queso, lettuce, onions, spicy salsa. 4.5 stars: both needed more vegan "meats". Very yummy nonetheless..vegan eats not textually similar. Actual plants used. YMMV.

Was visiting Nor Cal and had tacos delivered from a nearby vegan taco shop.Both were phenomenal! I had the al pastor (hibiscus) and tinga (mushroom) and we're were sooo flavorful! I loved the colorful taco shell and the pickled veg on top!

* Shop is very aesthetic and clean* Carne asada burrito was amazing! I would stop by again for that alone. The carne asada is really savory.* The burritos are a fair size - the plates looked large as well.* Coconut Horchata was also very delicious - really rich and creamy and the coconut isn't too overpowering. * Service was quick but I came when it was pretty slow. * Tinga burrito unfortunately missed the mark and wasn't quite my cup of tea due to the flavor of the Tinga itself * Seating is very limited.

Came on here to only say this - Spectacular, give me 14 of them right now!!! *drools*

Yes to the taco de carna asada and the taco de camaron. I feel like I got my monies worth. So good! This place is consistent; dine there, deliver or pick up. All great! I pray that this place remains open despite the challenges of the city and local area lack of support and safety for small businesses. Great customer service as well. This place deserves a 5 star rating. The current 4.7 is cool but they truly deserve a 5.
