Looking for a nice brunch soft with good coffee and food? Renegade By Devout Coffee is the place to go! There is ample seating to have a catch-up brunch with friend or a solo meal while you read a book. What would I recommend? The Smoked Salmon Platter is made with fresh ingredients and soft, bounced sour dough bread. I was inclined to order another since it was so good! What about drinks? Honestly, the drip coffee was amazing! The beans were bold and matched well with the savory salmon dish. Service was no frills! You order at the counter and search for a table amongst the very large restaurant. If you're looking for a solo meal, there's counter space. If you're looking for a larger table, there's plenty on the main floor and lofted second floor! And parking? Plenty adjacent to the store!

Place is pretty busy for a weekday afternoon. If you're looking for somewhere to do work, study, or read, this place is not it. I was looking for an alternative working cafe and this place did not deliver. Music is rather loud, conversations carry throughout, and lots of kitchen ruckus. Couch seating is very uncomfortable, too lived to relax. If the no wifi does not deter you, let this be your warning. If you're looking for somewhere to catch up with a friend or people watch while you enjoy coffee, then this is the place to be. I had a smashburger, fries, and matcha latte while I was here. Burger was juicy but the matcha was nothing special.

Amazing food and coffee!! Different varieties of coffee and they customize to your needs. Detriot style pizza's are amazing. Garlic fries are so so good . Nice music and very good space to get coffee and spend time. Parking is very tricky . During rush hours on weekends everything is made to go.

Delicious. I had a fried fish sandwich and garlic fries. While there was a bit more bread than I like, the fish was cooked nice and tender. Garlic was generous on the fries. I love the ambiance and setup in the space as well. A great place to catch up with a friend.

Cute cafe and good coffee. It's very spacious and the vibes are spot on. Downside is there is no WiFi if you're here to get some work done and parking is limited. Staff was okay when I went, no latte art on my coffee hahaha but coffee was still yummy.

Love love love this spot! This is the epitome of what I am always looking for -- good solid coffee/espresso drinks, with warm breakfast items (not just pastries), and good vibes! This is a busy spot, but with two stories, luckily there is ample seating. The do NOT have wifi, and encourage communication over hiding behind laptops here. I loved the Avo toast. In general I'm easily annoyed if I pay $10+ for something I could easily whip up at home, but the sourdough felt like high quality artisianal bread, and I loved the crispy "salsa seca" on top which was like crushed nuts and seeds I think. Definitely a unique avo toast worth the outing. Breakfast sandwich was also amazing- super juicy and hearty with all the right ingredients. Interestingly they use veggie sausage patty but real bacon.... either way it worked for me!

A friend and I decided to visit this two-story, dining-centric spinoff of Devout Coffee based in Niles for a snack and a chat. Finding seating here on a Saturday evening was a Sisyphean task in itself and it took ten minutes of awkwardly standing and side-eyeing people to finally grab a spot. And it's not like seats are in short supply - Renegade just happens to be one of the premier establishments in Fremont (to my knowledge) that have combined the casual cafe setting (formerly Slap Face Coffee) with specialized, restaurant-quality food options, so business is booming. It doesn't hurt that they operate on a model that limits availability of certain items to different times and days of the week. They've replaced the community space that Slap Face used to use for featuring community performers with a very long high table but have gone to great lengths to instill a different sense of coffeeshop comfort within the space through their decor. All their food appears to be cooked in a trailer out in the parking lot and brought in by hand. Their classic double smashburger with a side of garlic fries was just over $17 but pretty worth it. The burger was beefy and melty with a nice depth from the sauteed onions and the fries were more like little potato crescents, with a perfect crunch and a jarred garlic topping that was a little bit bitter. During our meal, we saw enough people ordering the Detroit style pizza to somewhat regret our decision, but we'll save that for next time. Thanks!

I didn't realize there's a cute coffee spot right near the Fremont face/Amtrak. Decided to indulge with a quick latte to bring aboard. Just a quick review for my drink because I am obsessed with orange flavor latte and they got that. Now I'm looking forward to getting this drink every time I hit the ACE Fremont train. They make the drink pretty fast and there's also some bake goods so it's the perfect quick stop. I also got a warm waffle that had a small bit of icing on it which was a lil too sweet but it's still pretty good.

We ordered a few things to try, the egg sandwich was great, although they combined the impossible sausage patty with bacon and eggs, it was very delicious and a huge portion, we also tried the Belgian waffles, crisp but still moist and scrumptious, no syrup or extra butter needed. We ordered a latte, an espresso and a pour over. And ai ended upntaking a bag of their tebo beans home with me. The baristas were very helpful and knowledgeable in their craft. The space was lo ely with enough room downstairs and also on the secomlnd floor. I have book marked them for future coffee excursions. This coffee enthusiast was very satisfied.

Detroit pizza in Fremont?! I'm not sure if I've ever had Detroit pizza before so I can't comment on the authenticity but I can comment on the tastiness! The crust was thick and chewy, full of yeasty, salty, grain flavor. The cheese topping was generous, as well as the tomato and pesto in the flavors we chose. The pastries and coffee looked mid, but the other food items like breakfast sandwhiches looked stacked and solid so I'd go to this place for hearty brunch food. Note that the online menu is outdated - they no longer serve the biscuit cube and they have more meat pizza flavors as of 2025-01-19. Lastly, I just want to comment on the gorgeous decor! Seating is wrapped in striking black metal and delicate fairy lights, for a rich visual contrast. There's variety in seating, both big and small tables, though no WiFi. Gather instead of work! Logistics:- mostly indoor seating with a few unheated outdoor seats- there's a tiny parking lot directly east of the building, plus a larger (paid?) parking lot about 50 ft further down the road east. The parking might be free on Sundays or weekends here as the app wouldn't let me pay but park at your own risk! - a few vegetarians pizza options beyond cheese
