It is 100% a nude beach, with a bit of a hike down a slope. There is no facilities or fresh water access down there so plan ahead. I went alone and no one bothered me, families come there also. Overall, really great experience, I had the beach to myself for a while. It's enjoyable, even on a foggy day

Nude beach we happened to come upon while hiking in the area. Located about one mile south of Stinson Beach, the views from secluded Red Rock are glorious! The hike down was steep and took around 25 minutes. On the way down we enjoyed the beautiful scene of the mountains of green and the ocean in between. A couple deer crossed the path and we saw other wildlife too.Once we reached the bottom we took the stairs to the mostly rocky shoreline. There's a sizeable area of beach on the other side of the rocky area where it's sandy that looks great for sunbathing and other beach activities. We used the gate entrance on Highway 1 across from one of the parking areas to access the trail down. There's access from the south end of Stinson Beach as well if you're able to make it around the large boulders.

Oh my, we had a great time at this beach, fantastic is if you love to show off which I do and did and may guys enjoyed it immensely ;-) and I love watching as well. This is an ADULT beach no for kids or family but a great place for Adults to have a bit of fun and kink. Highly recommended, we will be there again from 16th to 19th of aug 2019 so we hope to see you there

Love this beach. Came here to take maternity photos, and arrived probably three hours before sunset, which was perfect. There were two other couples on the beach, and they were extremely nice, and not the weird creepy type at all. It is a nude beach. I repeat. It is a NUDE beach. And if you're going to give a beach one star because of it, maybe try, I don't know, expanding your horizons a bit? I'm by no means an exhibitionist, however, sometimes it's great just to take off all your clothes and feel the breeze. Anyways, this beach is beautiful, and it's a little bit of a hike down from the parking area. However, if there's a lot of cars, don't let that stop you. A lot of people park there, then walk along the beach all the way to Stintson Beach when the tide is low.

not the easiest beach to get down to. there's a winding trail with poison oak along the trail, so stay on the trail.the sand is in during summer and fall, then washes out in winter and redrock becomes a rocky beach. It is my favorite beach. It's also one of my favorite hikes. The weekends are the gawkiest. weekdays are kind of quiet and nice, and as the other review points out, it's very nice in the mid afternoon, so there's no hurry to get there. take your time.

Also known as Mickey's Beach. Came here for the awesome bouldering, but actually first time to a nude beach as well.In terms of scenery you really can't beat Mickey's. Especially as the weather gets warmer, Mickey's Beach is pretty amazing. You get a fantastic view on the drive over and once you get there there's just water pretty much as far as the eye can see. There's several rocks for bouldering spread out across the beach including the Orange Buddha Boulder (the one closest to the nude beach) which has a bunch of awesome problems on it.Be aware that the sand and tide levels can vary significantly, which can affect which problems you can do and your confidence in your landing zone.On a warm sunny day, expect to see a handful of climbers spread out along the beach. Cuz there's nothing better than sending an awesome problem at Mickey's and then standing on top of the boulder to admire the beautiful view and take in that nice sea breeze.

Gave me San Diego vibes! Beautiful drive on HWY 1 and such a cute town. Parking was easy and close so an easy walk to the sand.

I found Redrock in 1981, what a difference a few decades make, lol. Up until around 2000, the beach was much larger because the sand was at least 5 feet higher. Never a problem walking around the rocks to Stinson. The stairs were built in the late 80's and long gone now. Lotsa latino gawkers back then, but they disappeared in the late 90's. You could walk to the hot springs without getting your feet wet. That's where I perfected my frisbee game, and over the years I met so many nice people who became lifelong friends. It's no more than 5-8 minute walk down, very easy. There's a creek that runs down the hill and I drank it for 40 years with no problems. I haven't been there since May 2019 because of a physical injury, trail is too hard for me now. Waiting for low tides morning and afternoon so I can wade around from Stinson.

A date took me here in 2000 and I fell in love. The beach is indescribably beautiful. Giant boulders meet thunderous crashing waves. It's very rugged and as up close and personal with the cliffs and the ocean as you can get. It became a favorite haunt for many years. When I needed to get away from it all, when I wanted to share a special day with someone, etc. it became my go-to. Back then, there was no parking lot - just a turnout that everyone used. Then came the parking lot and with it, the crowds. It remained a friendly, beautiful vibe but something definitely had changed. It didn't take long for the creepers to show up. After that, it became annoying, to say the least. But the natural beauty persists. I've figured out that the best days to go are Monday or Tuesday. It's either mostly empty or populated with old-timers/actual locals.I have a deep abiding love for this magical slice of paradise. Definitely worth a visit if you can avoid peak traffic.
