Reception

I love this spot! It's connected to a luxury apartment complex, but anyone can walk in and enjoy a drink. They play great music, and the staff is super friendly and attentive. I ordered the Sir Thomas cocktail and loved its sweet and citrusy taste and fragrance. I can't wait to try more of the drinks there! Food: N/A Drinks: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 9/10

Cool place to grab a quick drink with your friends! Love the tall ceilings, live music, and dim lighting. Clean and classy place with a good number of seating. Limited food options so don't come hungry! This was a perfect place to catch up with someone before heading to a party at the Chorus rooftop ahah.

Reception is a bar on the bottom floor of a high rise luxury apartment complex. It has a nice fancy feel to it for sure! I stopped by for happy hour. Ample amount of room for seats at the bar or tables/benches provided. I ordered the margarita and it tasted fine. Didn't try the food. Happy hour ended up being $16 for one drink. Not too happy! 3 stars just because the happy hour isn't a great deal.

We popped into Reception for a quick beverage before going to an event and ended up staying. The place is simply gorgeous with an amazingly well designed interior. It's the kind of place that draws you in as it's very visible from the street. With its high ceilings, it's a little like you're in an old but beautiful airport terminal from the 20's. Good vibes for sure. Great for people watching inside and outside.Yes, the cocktails are fantastic. The night I was there they only had a single bartender but he did an amazing job of keeping up with everyone's orders. They drinks are fresh and creative and well priced. I'd go back here in a heartbeat. I highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

It is a bit out of the way. Mission and Van Ness. About a block to underground on market. Mostly residential area. Bar is located at lobby of a newly constructed condo building. Lots of space and seats. Happy hour price is pretty good. $10 cocktails $3 beer etc. no food. 20% tips added automatically. Bartender is friendly. Ordered a couple cocktails pretty good..

This review is not about the apartments or the building - It's about their bar located in the lobby - surprisingly great for a moderately quiet happy hour vibe. They have comfortable seating and beautiful decor. The hospitality was amazing, and that day they had a special gin based cocktail for the international women's day weekend which was a pleasant surprise. The cocktail was amazing - a beautiful blend of different fruity flavors / refreshing sweet and sour taste.

We came here on 10/5 during Happy Hour and had drinks while we worked. The bartender is great. They have free WiFi and plenty of space to sit. I plan on coming back soon!

Had no idea going in that this was a bar in the lobby of what seems to be a luxury apartment building but had a great time nonetheless! Wasn't too crowded when I went on a Thursday evening, we easily found a seat at the bar. The cocktails were delicious but I think they may rotate their menu. I loved the songbird when I went (mezcal, aperol, maraschino liqueur and lime juice)!

Wandered in here on a Wednesday night and even though the bar had just closed, the manager and staff welcomed us in anyway! They were all exceptionally kind and helpful, and they went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. We had a great time chatting and learning more about the space--seems like a really cool addition to the neighborhood. The wine and cheese plate we had were both delicious, and the decor was beautiful too! Definitely adding this one to my list for good drinks and great ambiance.
