Came here with some out of town friends and was pleasantly surprised. Good throwbacks from the 2010s playing in the upstairs area. All the staff were so friendly and nice, from the bartenders, bouncers, to the photographer. I met the owner and he was nice too! Not too expensive either, my credit card statement in the morning was way less than what I was expecting lol. Def got crowded as the night went on, primarily a younger Asian crowd. I loved that they handed out water bottles as we were leaving, it was a thoughtful touch. Minus one star for some guy starting a fight in the crowd.

I haven't had any food here, so I can't say much about that. The bartenders are cool. There is no in-and-out of the bar, but that's okay because there's a smoke alley with good airflow. The bottom floor is more lax compared to the top floor. Bottom floor has tables, usually first come first serve. I like showing up here before 10:30pm to avoid the cover fee, but you can also add yourself to the guest list for the night that you are going to push that time to 11:00pm. 2 bathrooms on each floor. Coat check on second floor, though I have not used it. The is another room/bar in the back of the first floor, which is really chill too. Security/bouncers seem inconsistent with if they're understanding or not. There's consistent pre-midweek-holiday times here. Such as pre-Thanksgiving or pre-4th of July, so you can party out in the middle of the week before the day off. Music is good if you're into throwbacks. It is consistently the same every visit though, so do not expect anything different if you go multiple times! As for LGBTQ+ community: It is friendly to be LGBTQ+ here, but I find that this is definitely mostly a straight bar. There will be 1-3 LGBTQ+ people at a time, and most of the time it would be myself and the friends I brought. I do feel safe here as an obviously queer person, so there's that. I also don't know many others places that play music similar to Raven Bar that is also queer-centric, so I'll take what I can get. There's also apparently a dress code, but I have been able to get in with a decent shirt and Vans. Also there is advertisements of different events throughout the week, and I have been to most of them and I gotta say, they're mostly the same. It would be cool if there were some themed nights, but maybe that's not what the bar is going for. It's consistent every night; I know exactly what I am getting when I go to Raven Bar. It's reassuring at times, disappointing at others. Overall, I usually go to Raven Bar if there is nowhere else to go (like my queer spots are closed) and I'm not expecting to go too crazy.

Raven bar is such a fun place to go to. We went on a Sunday night before a holiday and they had $8 drinks with no cover. They were blasting throwback karaoke songs the entire night. It was a great place to not spend any money & just vibe with your friends like you're still in college.

Came to celebrate a friend's birthday. They reserved a table and the bouncers and staff were extremely helpful and accommodating throughout the night. They had fun songs from the early 2000s and good drink options.

Raven Bar in SF gave me an unforgettable nightlife experience that seamlessly blends sophistication with an electric atmosphere. From the moment i stepped through the doors, I was greeted by the pulsating energy of the venue and the friendly faces of its patrons. I have to mention the most handsome and talented bartender. Aaron Smith. With his extensive knowledge of mixology and his charming personality, Aaron elevates the bar experience to new heights. Whether I was craving a classic cocktail or seeking a unique concoction, Aaron's skillful craftsmanship ensures that each drink is expertly prepared and served with a smile. The vibe at Raven Bar is nothing short of captivating. The dimly lit interior, adorned with plush furnishings and edgy decor, sets the stage for an evening of indulgence and excitement. As the night progresses, the energy builds to a crescendo, drawing guests to the second-floor dance floor where they can groove to the beats of the hottest tracks spun by talented DJs.Whether you're looking to unwind after a long day or celebrate a special occasion with friends, Raven Bar provides the perfect setting for a night to remember. With its top-notch service, vibrant ambiance, and unbeatable dance floor, it's no wonder why Raven Bar is a favorite destination for locals and visitors alike.

The inside of this bar is very fun and clean and spacious. The drinks are good. I give this bar a low rating simply due to the bouncers. A member of my family was spoken to quite rudely by two bouncers and was told to shut up after explaining an ID situation. It was a joke but gone too far and inappropriately. It was a fun experience but I do hope the bouncers get talked to. I would attend again because besides that it was quite fun!

This place is solid, the upstairs opens and 10 and is spacious and has a good dance floor. This is a cool spot I highly recommend if you don't want a huge club-y vibe. The service was kind of slow until they opened the upstairs, but that's bc there was like 1 bartender. Not complaining, but not efficient for sure.

I came here with a couple of friends on a Saturday night after hearing about it from a coworker. We got on the guest list, so we didn't need to pay the cover fee.The place is a pretty small club with two floors, each featuring different DJs. It would have been nice to know what kind of songs were playing on each floor since they probably had different vibes. We got some drinks, and I liked the Lychee Bliss the most because it was refreshing and lightly sweet, though it wasn't super flavorful or strong.By 11 pm, it got pretty crowded. They also don't have many bathrooms, so you probably have to wait in line to get in. Overall, it's an okay place, but I personally wouldn't come here again since I don't usually go out to clubs.

David and his team took great care of us at our VIP table for my birthday! His team welcomed us by giving me a glow in the dark "Happy Birthday" necklace, which was really sweet, along with two free VIP tickets for future visits. He was very helpful throughout the table reservation process as well, even adjusting our guest list maximum to accommodate a few extra last minute guests. David and his team gave us water bottles on our way out and while some of us were clearly showing signs of fatigue, which was very thoughtful. One thing of note is that the second floor dance floor does get quite crowded, but the same can be said about many SF bar/clubs on Saturday night. The music was great for our party of millenials (lots of 2000s era hip hop/pop). The first floor was much less crowded and with a different DJ, and we did most of our dancing here. It was nice to have different dance area options.Overall, we had a great time and would come back!
