A rare gem that more people need to know about so spread the word. This is one of my favorite places to go when I'm not growing my own vegetables. This farm is working very hard year round to bring you the freshest of produce. Ramon & family treat everyone like family and that same amount of love that goes into everything they grow. It's always refreshing when we see the doors of the little stand open during their selling season and the chickens are ready to greet you as they roam around acting as natures pesticide eating a bunch of delicious bugs, keeping them off of the veggies. If you haven't yet tried Ramirez Farm's corn. you must stop by and grab some. Don't just get a couple grab a dozen, you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!!

Support local businesses! This is the last and only farm in Fremont. This place is the best. I just hope and pray (for my own selfish reasons) that nobody buys the land Ramirez Farm is on :-)Here is a nice blog post by a nice resident about Ramirez Farms - http://csuhpat1.blogspot.com/2012/10/ramirez-farm-last-farm-in-fremont.html

Ramirez is up and running at 35075 Alvarado=Niles, just over the bridge into Union City! Enter his Farm Market from SOUTHBOUND Alvarado-Niles, shortly before the bridge (which is getting replaced) up over BART. It is just after you pass Osprey. You have to slow down or you could miss his driveway. My wife thinks Ramirez is great. Sadly, the 882 rental units will boot out the last farm in Fremont. Ramirez says he will move to Union City. As of Sept. 29 Ramirez appears to be well on the way to gone. Ramirez is now operating in Union City; we bought some lovely Hatch peppers and green beans.Maybe the plan for 882 units can be improved in some ways, such as by requiring individual water meters on this new construction.I attended the study meeting on Sept. 29, and it looks to me as though the density will be moderately reduced.Folks, take a look at my attached views of Mission Peak from Litchfield Ave. on the north. One is colored as the impressionist Monet would paint it. Now, it's time to hit the "cool" button, n'est-ce pas?

Love it! Mr Ramirez is so sweet. He has so much love for his farm so please support his hard labor of love. He harvests the BEST corn, jicama, zucchinis, leafy greens, carrots, squashes, and more! Depending on the season, he has more veggies like swiss chard and basil. Upon request, you can select the veggies to be fresh picked. I made the best ever caesar salad with Ramirez's fresh romaine. The greens were naturally sweet and flavorful. Best of all, he uses NO PESTICIDES! Invest in your health by investing in your local farms. Cheers!

Farms make me happy. What makes me even happier is a lovely little farm that is a stone's throw and a quick stroller ride from my home. Having a farm across the street makes me feel more rural than suburban which is super cool. Got some corn from them the other day and it was sweet and delicious. They offer white and yellow corn, as well as Mexican corn. Also got a perfect yellow onion. And if I'd needed tomatoes, there were some pretty sweet looking specimens ready for the taking. They don't use pesticides. If you ask them they will go into the field and pick you marigolds or squash blossoms (if they've got 'em)Ramirez Family Farm is a little slice of heaven right in my own front yard.

~ OPEN 7 days a week 9am - 8pm ~We stumbled upon this quaint corner farm on the way back from the Fremont Festival... I am SO GLAD we made the U-turn.We purchased several FRESH seasonal squash of 4 different varieties! For dinner, we sauteed them with a large green pepper (good amount of kick and tons of flavor) which we also purchased from the market. BONUS: The gentleman had us try something I would have NEVER TRIED if it wasn't for his coaxing... sweet chili dried mango and a hot red pepper version = YUMMY! I was pleasantly surprised and my kids bought ~1/4 lb with their own money *smiles*Since I like SPICE, he suggested that I come back in about 1-2 weeks for the BLACK CHILIES that will be ripe for the picking. LOVE THIS PLACE!Fresh Veggies, Local Farm, Reasonable prices (downright cheap) and PHENOMENAL QUALITY = WIN! Thanks Ramon, I'll definitely be back for those black peppers!
