Ramen 101

With how cold the weather has been who doesn't love a warm piping bowl of soup!! Look no further than Ramen 101.. I'm always greeted with a friendly smile by the owners every time! I love sitting at the window to people watch! Favorite past time really!! But what I'm here for is the tonkotsu ! And we can't forget the gyoza! My go to order every time and it never disappoints - dining in, togo or even DoorDashed!!

Was in the area, and it was raining, so that craving for soup kicked in, lol. Found Ramen 101 on Yelp and gave it a try! First off, it was about an hour before close, but we were able to get seated right away. You order at the counter, seat yourself, and they bring you your order.On to the food! I went with what I usually get at ramen spots, tonkatsu. But this time I got the black garlic version. It was pretty tasty! I got medium spiciness, and it wasn't spicy at all. Next time I'll get it a little spicier for sure. As far as ambiance, it's nice and casual. I'd recommend giving this place a try.

Ramen soup so delicious, vegetale or chicken are our choices. Loaded with fresh ingredients, very tasty.Staff is always helpful and friendly. Orders always right whether it's for dine-in or take-out. Fairly priced. Huge portions. Highly recommended!

Checked out this spot after a round of golf!! Upon walking in, you order with the staff and its self assigned seating. The store is clean and nice! For the ramen, we got the black garlic miso, seafood, and chicken. The broth is not as rich and salty as I prefer, but it satisfied the craving! The chicken karage was perfectly crispy and hot.

I brake for ramen noodles! This was my first visit to the Ramen 101 located in downtown Pleasanton. They have ample seating inside for groups of four or for single dining. The dining area is nice and clean too. I had the spicy vegetarian ramen noodles with tofu and vegetable broth and it was delicious. It hit the spot as I was feeling a little under the weather. The group I was with had spicy chicken ramen, chicken katsu, bbq chicken with rice, vegetable tempura, and lumpia's. Everyone was happy with their entrees and left with a full belly. Service was excellent.

Based on what I'd seen review wise for this place, I was looking forward to trying it! When we walked in, the staff were friendly and ready to help when we were ready (without being overbearing as we looked at the menu). We ordered chicken katsu, a ramen, and a crab Rangoon starter. The crab Rangoon and ramen came out surprisingly fast, but the chicken katsu took an extra few minutes. The ambiance where we were sitting was cute, I liked the decor!Unfortunately, I really wasn't a fan of the food. The crab rangoon reminded me of those Trader Joe's microwaveable entrees (NOT accusing them of making just microwave ones, just using it as a comparison) and the filling felt too saucy. Being TJ style isn't necessarily bad but a little disappointing when I'm used to the crispy higher quality ones elsewhere. The sauce was also just-ok sauce packets. Additionally, I enjoyed the chicken katsu but felt it was a bit underwhelming... I had a lot of leftovers. My partner felt their ramen was maybe not the best ramen ever but enjoyed it.All in all, I'm glad I tried it but I probably won't be back. Shoutout to the sweet staff though, they rock :)

After hiking sunol.The kids really wanted some warm as it was super cold yesterday . This place is super fast for hungry kids and most delicious Ramen. Their portions are very big, so we ordered three for four of us, and they did not make a big deal about it. The process is very flavourful for vegetarians, and they have options to add more things if you like. my kids finish all of their food and wanted some more. Very cute happening place more importantly, they are very clean. You can't smell food when you walk out of the restaurant. the service is the best part of this place. You get your food quick. We definitely will be back many more times.

Ramen 101is a multi location chain in the East Bay and opened a location on Main Street in downtown Pleasanton. Looks like they combined two side by side store fronts with the Kitchen on one side and the dining area on the other. The ramen is very adequate but the side are less than average. The service was excellent. One note is that they store and stack their cleaning supplies right next to the drink fountain. (Not appetizing) Pork rib ramen 4 starsBlack garlic ramen 4.5 starsShrimp tempura 2 stars the batter is awful Squid legs Geso 2 stars definitely precooked Street parking but there are public lots in the back and side streets.

Yoooooooo bro WTF happened! Why does the food SUCK this time. Just order from here and bro the food is hella awful. Hella ramen noodles but NO TASTE!!! NNNnnnnnOooooooo Ttttaaaassstttteeee!!!!!!Hey my pork is tough like chewing rubber bands!So is my chicken katsu!! But why is my katsu sauce much lighter than all the other times? It looks diluted!!! Hella thin and watery.

I had high hopes for this place, but I wasn't too impressed. Service was exceptional, the staff was very friendly and helpful, making the experience itself good. However, the food was just okay. My party got the crab rangoons, which tasted good but storebought. The ramen was good, but didn't stand out, and the chicken katsu was mediocre. Extra star for the service.
