I must say I enjoyed every bit of their food, very delicious Sopa de Gallina. Half is a bakery and another half is a restaurant I was on my way to la China when I spotted and decided to take some bread and soup home. Friendly service too. Handmade tortillas, rice maccarony salad and aguacate lime and a spicy vinagreta soy e delicious. The only reason am not giving them 5 stars is because the soup did not have but three pieces of carrots and a very small cut of potato. Very small joint so don't spect a red carpet.

I think this place has reduced it's size by half. Perhaps the other half is a restaurant? I had Yeti Moose Lamb with me so I couldn't do a lot of investigating, but I could buy a couple of sweets! There wasn't much of a selection. Yet, I did notice that two of their trays were wiped out. I suppose the regulars know what to get and to get there early! I chose three little bread loafs (3 for $1) and three little sweet breads. The sweet breads were topped with something like a lightly sweetened cream cheese. Not very sweet. The bread was almost cake like in density, but again, not very sweet. I'm sure this is typical of Latin baked goods. Anyway, very well made and still a nice little treat. Wash it down with your favorite liquid (horchata!!) and you'll be full till lunch! The breads loafs are going to be for our home made torta's. Very inexpensive and really nice people working there.I'd like to come back with my husband so we can explore and maybe see the selection a lot earlier in the day.

Today is the second time I visit this bakery and I love it. It's definitely a mom and pop shop. The selection of bread is limited but it's all the Guatemalan bread you can't find anywhere else and that's the best part. They also have breakfast bagels and sandwiches along with pupusas, tamales, & chuchitos, among other savory items. Behind the bread is a large fridge with agua fresca and a selection of sodas from Central America. While ordering, you can hear the cook making tortillas. It's awesome. They open super early during the week. Around 6am if I remember correctly. Great place to check out if you're looking for a dive-y Latin American bakery.
