Pupusas de arroz y un atol chuco
First time trying and these empanadas are the best! Full of flavor and they're big. Definitely get what your money's worth!

Family-owned and operated pupusa stand! Genuinely nice people who are dedicated to their work. The hot pupusas are delicious! They're sizable, crisp on the outside, soft and flavorful inside. You've got your choices of filling - pork, chicken, bean and cheese, or pork with bean and cheese. The pickled cabbage slaw and salsa make a great addition to the meal. They also make great tamales wrapped in banana leaves. They've got a stand on Telegraph during Oakland's First Friday Art Murmur. Check them out!

Checked out reviews and decided to give them a try. They're okay, definitely not the best, rating more like 2 1/2 stars.

This place was a very pleasant place to go to. Very basic straight to the point and I love just a traditional pupusa.

I ordered take out, pupusas revueltas and pastelitos for the first time at this place. The pastelitos werefreaking delicious, the filling (potatoes and chicken and other stuff) was right on point on the seasoning. The hot salsa is spicy but mix it with the the mild sauce to your preference and ooh yes!The taste of the puposas here come very very close to the ones I feel taste the best from Los Molcajetes in ELA.

This is not the spot. These by far are the worse I've ever had. Just too much of the tire shop, garbage piled up on the corner or dust and smog from the trucks passing by of east 14th. You tasted all of it, straight garbage. The extra star is for the staff, they were cool.

I just had their food. I had one papusa revuelta and chicken tamal. The papusas were really good! It had so much flavor. The chicken tamal was good too but it was lacking in flavor a bit. I had some of the orange salsa. Be careful, as it has a little kick. It was really good though. 4 stars for great service and yummy papusas. I wish I had a picture to post, but I ate it all.... whomp whomp whomp. You'll have to come here to see for yourself!

I love these little "hole in the wall" places..... they usually have the best food. We went in for Papusas because they had a decent review. When you walk in, you have to walk through the store to get to the back where they serve the food. I was so disappointed. Yes... there was a language barrier..... so I didn't take it personal when I walked up and said hello and was ignored. Howver, my dad who speaks spanish was completely ignored as well. I walked up to the front and asked the guy if we order from the back or from him. He said we order from him. That results have been nice ti know instead of being ignored, but oh well. We ordered Papusas and they said that they weren't done yet!! It was already 10. I ended up ordering a Torta. The meat was fatty and didn't taste very good at all in my opinion. I totally would have went back for the papusas but didn't like the way we were treated. The "restaurant only had 1 table with 3 chairs.

I ate a pupusa for the first time in my life at their First Friday stand and it was honestly life changing. If I could eat here everyday I would. Crispy cheesy chewy goodness. Also the pickled cabbage and salsa are on point and the prices are very fair. There is a reason their tiny stand always has the fattest line at First Friday.
