Soooo yummmmyyyyyy!! Called for pick up and was ready right away. They were out of sourdough but still delish

On the verge of being really good. If not, possibly even greatness. However two major flaws have to be addressed before we can get there.1). Ordered a hot pastrami sandwich and the bread was literally rock solid. It was almost as if I was eating a sandwich on a crouton. The bread was over toasted and would literally crumble w/ every bite. Nothing worst than eating a sandwich and the bread is hard as a rock, crumbling and tearing up the roof of your mouth.2) The meat portion was underwhelming. When I think of a pastrami sandwich I envision the "pastrami" being the lead singer, not the backup. The pastrami portion was very small. Although the overall combo of swiss cheeses, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles and garlic spread mixed very well together, there should have been more meat.Very friendly service, super quick and convenient. Loved the menu and would be open to trying it again. Just on the next time, asking for "lightly toasted" and extra meat.

10/2/24 was way too hot to cook. so I decided to find a local deli to pick up a sandwich for dinner. It was about 4:40 in the afternoon when I walked into Picnicky's. The store was clean bright and thankfully air conditioned. There were no other customers inside the establishment, and I was greeted promptly by the associate behind the counter. She was very polite and gave me the time I needed to look over the menu to make my decision. I decided on The Vinny, she asked if I wanted to add anything else to the sandwich besides, what comes on it standardly. I asked her to add pickles, tomatoes, and lettuce. She asked if I wanted to add anything else with the sandwich and I decided on a bag of chips she asked if I would like to add a drink to my order which I declined. My order came up to $20.48 with a 15% tip of $3.07. I took my order to go to eat at home. Upon opening my sandwich I found it neatly wrapped and assembled. The Vinny tasted ok but I was a little disappointed in the amount of meat on the sandwich. (See picture for reference). The meat was literally the thickness of a chip from the bag I purchased. If I wouldn't have added the pickles tomatoes and lettuce the sandwich would've been basically bread. For $15.75 I would expect more meat than was on my sandwich. 2 star for food due to lack of meat. 5 Star for the service from the associate behind the counter.

Absolutely love this place! The cashier was friendly and greeted us as soon as we came in. They were patient while we looked over the menu and ordered. Inside was bright and spacious with a few chairs and tables inside. The sandwiches were delicious. We ordered the Italian and a turkey sandwich and both were amazing. I wish there was a little more meat, but it still was pretty good.

Service was great! Not a sandwich person, wanted to try something different. I had the turkey, avacado, bacon sandwich and I added red onions, it was amazing!! Really fresh ingredients, tons of options!!!

I haven't been here in quite a long time. No inside seating and cannot uses cash to pay for food. I ordered a pastrami on rye and the sandwich was good. My wife had a Turkey and it was good as well. What struck me as odd was how slow the employees were making your food. There were 2 people in front of me Plus on phone order for 3 sandwiches. Each of the orders ahead were single sandwiches. There was no energy from staff. I waited 30 minutes and they handed me 1 sandwich. I said there is a second sandwich. She went make to the tickets and got a little testy she could not find the second order. I pointed to a sandwich on the back counter sitting there. Sandwich found. Sandwiches tasted good service not so good. Would have rated 2 but the food tasted good.

I wanted to like this place, I really did.We came in to try this spot out because we heard about this place years ago when it opened, but never got to it. The sandwich was decent, they had Dutch crunch. Your not gonna get the corner store city vibes of this sandwich, but it sorta kinda gets the job done, I mean, $15 for a half a foot sandwich? I guess we are in rough times.The downfall? We waited 30-40 minutes for 3 sandwiches. I don't mean to complain, nor am I an expert on what it means run a deli, but I do know that making a sandwich is pretty simple. You slab 1 person who came in, ordered their sandwich 15 minutes after we ordered got their sandwich before us, so that was kind of annoying . The list goes on. I really tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe they were understaffed? Who knows? All I know is that as I watched one of the employees make our sandwich, it took her 2 minutes to slab on some lettuce. She just stared at the order for a really long time before putting lettuce on the sandwich. I mean, there is a store that specializes in holistic medicine next door, and I totally relate on just staring at something for a really long time before getting myself back to reality from zoning out. I get it. But man was I hungry waiting for my sandwich to be made. Overall, I'd give this place another chance, it has way more potential then what it was my first time coming here.

New Ownership and swing and a miss! Sad that Vallejo needed this and it was great for a decade but guess what I Wont be back

Better than any chain sandwich spot! Delicious, fresh, and packed with flavor. The service is great, and you can taste the quality in every bite. A must-try in Vallejo!

Used to be great sandwiches back in the day, now low end quality and poor service. Mixed up our order, and forgot meat in one of the orders so wasted money on that's. We won't be returning unfortunately.
