03/03/2025 came here for lunch around 1pm. Lots of space and was seated right away. It was a kinda messy restaurant but at least the seatings are decent. We ordered viet coffee and a pork and fish plate for 2-4 ppl. (~$40) it viet coffee was super strong and came with loads of ice. I typically don't like a bunch of ice in my drink, but with a viet coffee like this u kinda have to. The food we ordered came on a grill top to help cook the raw onions. We did ask a lady to help us extinguish the fire later. There was a plate of veggies, several rice papers, and two dipping sauce ( one peanut and one fish sauce) that came along with the dish. We like fish sauce so we asked to for an extra instead of the peanut sauce. You are basically making your own spring roll. Overall I liked the seasoning of the pork and fish. You will have to line up at the counter to pay later. cash or card are fine.

Pho Kim Long is a spacious spot with a welcoming atmosphere and super friendly staff. From the moment I walked in, I felt right at home thanks to their warm and attentive service.I ordered the pho and the bun cha ca la vong, and both dishes were delicious! The pho had a rich, flavorful broth with fresh ingredients, while the bun cha ca la vong was tasty and perfectly seasoned. The large dining area makes it great for groups, and the overall vibe is relaxed and inviting. If you're craving good Vietnamese food with great service, Pho Kim Long is definitely worth a visit!

We met up with friends for lunch and shared the...Bún Chả Cá Lả Vọng: Grilled fish with vermicelli noodles and herbs (serves two persons) (4/5). This is a fun dish that you DIY spring rolls. The fish is lightly fried and seasoned lingcod served on a heated tray with onions, dill, peanuts, and fried garlic.

Loved the spring rolls, loved the number 1, the meat was perfectly cooked and the sauce was very flavorful. We also got the short ribs which were perfectly cooked but the rice wasn't great. Service was fast, table was a bit cramped though otherwise great. This pho joint is known specifically for their beef pho, not chicken.

We visited Pho Kim Long on a Friday night and it was very busy. We luckily found parking easily. It is a lively and popular/trendy environment; great for groups! The staff was nice and quick to bring our orders. We first tried the spring rolls and they were fresh and savory and the peanut sauce was good and unique; left me wanting another bite! The egg rolls were delicious and perfection with the sauce! The pho I got had chicken, seafood, and meatballs it was savory. All the flavors from the uniquely delicious broth made this 5/5 pho and I loved the egg noodles and all the meats!

If you have kids, their kids' beef pho is a huge bowl with plenty of noodles for $8! It doesn't come with veggies which most kids won't even eat anyway. I didn't like the chicken pho but they do give you lots of breast meat. The chicken broth just doesn't work for me. However the kids beef pho is a huge find and when I'm going to eat pho with the kids, this is certainly the spot.Pretty much every other table here ordered the Cha Ca La Vong. We got the combo of grilled pork and turmeric dill fish. It comes on a bed of dill and onions. A fire heats up the dish on your table which caramelizes the onions. A side of fresh veggies, rice noodles and rice wraps turn these bad boys into delicious spring rolls. There is a trick to making perfect rolls. Keep your plate clean from other food debris when you start putting your rolls together. Watch from nearby pros and you'll eventually get there.Service here is standard. I had to flag people over to refill my water. When you finish your meal you pay at the front counter. In the past it was cash only, but they've now updated to allow modern electronic forms of payment. They've renovated the restaurant around pandemic time. It used to be an old hole in the wall, but is now a nicer establishment with more modern furnishings.

The service is fast and straightforward. PKL is one of the most well-known places in South Bay for the best quality and affordability of Vietnamese food. The menu is varied and you can't go wrong with any item. I've had the bun bo hue, bun rieu, and pho tai in my main rotation here. The appetizers and drinks are good as well. Be prepared for a potentially crowded parking lot!

This pho restaurant is located in a small plaza in north San Jose. Parking was not easy during peak hours as the parking lot was pretty small. We got there around 12:30pm for Sunday lunch and there was a line outside the restaurant. Luckily the line moved very fast and we were seated within 5 min. Their menu had a lot of food choices. We got the combination pho and bun rieu (we asked for extra ground crab for $5). Food was served within 5 min of ordering. The combination pho included different types of beef. The beef was very fresh and tender! The soup base was pretty light and fresh too. The bun rieu came with a descent portion of ground crab. What was worth highlighting was that they used real crab instead of imitation crab for bun rieu. The extra ground crab we ordered were served in a separate bowl, which was a large portion to our surprise. The bun rieu soup base was a little oily and had a strong seafood taste, so it may not be for someone who is not a fan of seafood.Overall I think it was a pretty descent place for pho. I'd love to try out other food on the menu someday.
