Pho Huynh Hiep - Kevin's Noodle House

Seated right away, food came out hot and quick, and the space was huge.#2 Pho Dac Biet Bo Vien (4/5): Combo pho + beef balls. We all ordered a size medium, but honestly could've gone with a small. Family enjoyed the broth and they were generous with the meat portions. Pretty standard pho - Definitely not bad but I've had so much pho I don't remember if a standard bowl can 'wow' me anymore.Lychee Smoothie (4/5): Not sure if it's just me, but Vietnamese restaurants have the best smoothies... Just me? Sweet, refreshing, and the perfect cool-down for a hot bowl of pho. Only yellow flag was that the boba tasted a little funny, but it was chewy enough for me to push that thought aside.Downside that can't be helped - The location. There's a small half-gated parking lot behind the restaurant with spaces for diners, but still be careful with any belongings and your surroundings!

Kevin Noodle House has quick service, which I appreciated, but unfortunately, the food was cold when it arrived. Noodle soup should be served hot, so this was pretty disappointing. The flavors were decent, but it would have been much better if the temperature was right.Overall, it's an okay spot if you're looking for something fast, but I expected better quality. Not sure if I'd rush back.

Finally had the chance to stop by here after years of being closed, very long overdue! The service was great - we got seated right away and the food came out quickly.I had ordered a pho tai, combination rice plate and orange juice. The pho tai noodles were so over cooked and the meat was so tough. The pork chop on the combination plate was so flavorful and tender but the rice and chicken wings tasted old. The orange also tasted like diluted orange juice with water and no sugar. After the redesign, I was pretty disappointed in the food. I had pretty high expectations especially knowing it was such a nostalgic place for a lot of my family growing up.

Quick service, good portion size and ingredients, tastes good but just bit salty for me. Private parking lot good to avoid parking in neighborhood.

I was so excited to try this spot. It's right near my son's school and it looked super inviting. The service was great, lots of parking in a gated lot, and the restaurant was so nice inside, and the prices were reasonable.Unfortunately the chicken in the pho I got was not really the quality I'm used to usually getting at Vietnamese restaurants. There were lots of pieces with skin and tendons attached. I ended up pulling out about 1/3 of it. I honestly don't think I'd go back even tho it's convenient and cute with good service.

Remodeled Pho and Bun restaurant located in a sketchy part of East Oakland. Has a large parking lot where you can watch your car and a trailer encampment along 7th street thru the large plate glass windows. Ladies of the night two blocks away trying to survive the tough streets of East Oakland.The remodeled Kevin's opened in early 2024. The interior is bright and beautiful juxtaposed against the blight of the adjacent streets. Kevin closes at 7pm so you can eat and get out of the area early.The Pho's are still tasty with a good soup base, I like the Large number 1 of brisket, flank, tendon, and tripe. The fried egg rolls are also decent although it has imitation crab meat as one of the ingredients.Good place to go if you're in a rush and looking for a bright clean establishment with a parking lot.

Long awaited opening of the original Kevin's Noodle House finally happened this March! Been coming here since childhood, and now I get to bring my children who love their pho and rice plates. Service is always quick and attentive. The area is not the best, and has gotten worse since the pandemic with the homeless, but I've had no issues with safely every time I come.

Almost 20 years in the making after the original got burned down. Finally Kevin noodle house after several renovations and vandalism, have finally came back from its skeleton self and looking better and more masculine ... talking about the new structure! the menu is pretty much the same, the prices also is still good for bay area, portions are still big, lots of noodle options, the shrimp spring rolls got tiny and skinny, the eggrolls are super hard using the rice papers as wrappers, pho was decent but I think it used to be more flavorful.Everything was fresh, restaurant looks new and clean. Staffs were friendly and efficient. Takes CC and they have plenty of parking. Good for families and any time of the day meal. Classic spot. Glad they came back.

Came here for lunch and we ordered eggrolls, one large combo pho and two large Hu Tieu. Eggrolls were good, my sister really liked her pho, and the Hu Tieu was really good too.I will note that my sister found a long strand of hair in her Hu Tieu right as she was about to take her first bite. We notified the server quickly and he apologized and quickly took the bowl away. About 5-10 minutes later he came back out with a new bowl of Hu Tieu noodles and apologized again. Grossed my sister out but she was fine after they brought a new bowl out. Besides the hair incident everything was really good. Friendly service and large portions were definitely large so worth the price. I think we will definitely come back to try other dishes here.

Service by Chi Hoang was amazing !! She was so attentive and sweet and fast! I didn't I got the pho tai nam and that was flavorful but cut of meat was disappointing my mom got the hu tieu and that was disappointing too . We also got the number 42 no complaints it was 5/5 the fresh orange juice was delish . The Ca Phe Phin drip was bombbbbb the pre mixed one is much sweeter i wouldn't recommend. The Che ba mau was delish !!! I've been coming here since high schoolSo it's nostalgic for me . The new space is so open and spacious . Hopefully they continue to improve since they just reopened :)
