Dropped by to dine in. We normally do takeout, and this was our first time dining in.We were seated fast, and they even seated us in a location with gad better AC as it was hot that day. The food tasted better dining than takeout. The food came out fast and was hot.Overall a gem in the area.

It's a solid 3 star spot if you want average Chinese food. It's not the best nor is it the worst. But it is quite pricey tbh. I would rather go to a more hole in the wall spot and pay slightly less for same kind of food. We got medium won ton soup, sesame chicken, and beef chow noodles. Total including tax/tip was around $53. The won ton soup was OK. The wonton starting to fall apart so chunks of meat were swimming around. I made wonton from scratch a couple weeks ago and thought mines had more taste, sadly. The soup left much to be desired. The sesame chicken were tiny chunks of chicken but tons of crispy coating. It felt a bit too carby for my taste. The chow fun noodles were solid. My husband enjoyed it - but after having some amazing chow fun in Calgary a few weeks ago, I thought it was average. Overall not a bad spot if you want something quick and live nearby. The foods were prepared super fast.

The food was decent. The human beef wasn't what I was expecting, but it was still good. I would prefer spicier. The sweet and sour chicken was good, very tangy , but not much veggies. The fried rice and thin noodle chow mein were good. I would order these again.

Food ok. Won ton soup was a little different than what I'm use to .Would not order here again. There are better Chinese restaurants in the area but this is just one reviewers opinion . My taste for Chinese food may just be a different preference:).A little over priced. Soda definitely over priced $4.35 cents for a can of soda. I had to ask if it was going to be a 2 liter she replied " no it's for 1 can soda" YIKES!! I can buy a 2 liter for that price and sometimes a 6pack if it's on sale

Overall, food is fine, but it's pricier than other spots in the area and the quality and flavor is worse. We got three items for take out - salt and pepper fish fillet, peking-style pork chops, and beef chow fun. Salt and pepper fish fillet - 2.5/5 - lacked flavor and breading was soft. Peking-style pork chop - 3/5 - flavor was fine but the texture (similar to the fish) fell flat. Portion was also lacking considering it cost $15+.Beef chow fun - 2/5 - flavor was so flat and there wasn't much beef. Just not enjoyable to eat...

Solid 3 stars. I have lived in San Lorenzo most my life and I have always seen this place but never went. I finally tried it a few weeks ago with my boyfriend and I was happily surprised it was good. We got the fried won tons, the crispy duck, lemon chicken and the bbq pork chow fun. The fried wontons were really just that. Slightly disappointed because I remember as a kid we had fried wontons with a filling and I have yet to find a restaurant that does it. Pretty pricey for fried wrappers though. The crispy duck with the steamed buns was amazing. I would be a happy camper with just ordering this. Duck was really tender and delicious. Lemon chicken was basic lemon chicken, nothing to write home about but still tasted good. Same with the chow fun, the bbq was really good. Moist and flavorful. Overall great food experience. Located in a business plaza. They have their own lot so parking is not an issue and the area is not too busy. Interior reminds me of out dated buffet style booths. Feels sort of eerie inside because there's no music playing to fill the room. Pricing is okay for sit down dining for Chinese food. If you're going to get basic staples you can get at fast food Chinese food places, then just go to those places instead. But good if you want their other selections. I did not expect good wait service so I was only semi bothered when it took forever to get our check. Definitely was wondering at a certain point if they were perhaps comping our bill (LOL). I wouldn't mind coming back.

I am a fan of Wor Wonton Soup - but this restaurant adds only cabbage as a vegetable. I asked for them to add in a few more veggies like broccoli, carrot, snow pea, onion, zucchini ... and they said they would need to add $9 onto order, for what looked like barely 1/2 cup of veggies! Outrageous. The Hunan Restaurant nearby on Hesperian is the same... they wanted to charge me $3.99 for each additional veggie added. Too bad, because I found a number of other places that add a great variety of veggies to their soup along with the meats and wontons. (Frannie's, China Garden, and more)

My family has been coming here for over 25yrs, but now we will not be returning. I do not recommend anyone coming here, and would give them negative stars if possible. While the food has been decent and pricing okay, every time we come they have done something or another wrong with our bill where it comes out $2-3 more than what it should be. We just ask for the itemized receipt and it's all fine after that for the most part. However today, they tried to overcharge us by almost $10. We ordered the medium wonton soup ($14.95), black bean sauce chicken sizzling platter ($16.95), and rice ($3). The bill should have been about $39-40 with tax. They ended up giving us a hand written bill of $48, and when we asked for the itemized receipt it showed the chicken for $17.95, $2.25 for tea we did not order, and a 15% service charge. We told them we got the wrong receipt, but they said no it was right and they had to charge 15% service charge/tip even though we were only a party of 3. They also said they charged a dollar extra because they served us white meat chicken which is extra charge, but there was nothing on this on the menu nor did they tell us. They then took off the tea, making the bill about $44, and can see it scratched out on the originally hand written bill. Can also see there's only 2 items written in Chinese characters. The woman literally fought with us over the bill, saying service charge is required when I told her that charging service is only for parties over 6-8, and it needs to posted somewhere or at least on the menu. She continued arguing, saying she'll do us a favor at the end to charge us the right amount??? The bill she gave us at the end was about $37, but the fact that she came down to that proves she knew what she was doing was wrong. You shouldn't have to argue with them to be charged the right amount based on what you ordered. This was such an insulting visit. We left without leaving a tip, and we like supporting our local businesses but this one we cannot anymore. There are a lot more Chinese restaurants in the area that have better service and food, and don't try to cheat the customer like this. It's not worth coming here for this kind of treatment.

I am not pleased with Peking Garden anymore and will not be returning. I used to come here all the time and I decided to come for lunch since it's been a while. I used to get their duck lunch but they are very stingy with the portions and it is very over priced. I also used to get their hot and sour soup and loved it so I decided to get some again. I don't know if they changed how they make it or what but this time it was very tasteless AND to top it off, there was a FLY in my soup. I am disgusted and will not be coming back.
