Ok so we finally took the kids to the "robot sushi" place as they had been calling it. We have found a new favorite sushi place. So you have various options - order off the menu / from the kitchen, or select sushi from the automated conveyor belt. On Friday and Saturdays they hide prizes among the sushi trays evidently. My daughter walked away with a Hello Kitty remote control car. The pricing is INCREDIBLY reasonable, especially compared to other sushi places around here. The food quality was quite good & the service equally good. My kids have said they want to go back tomorrow already Do yourself a favor, go get some sushi at this Hello Kitty decor spot. We certainly hope it's around a long time.

It is extremely rare to find an authentic-tasting Japanese oyakodon in the San Francisco Bay Area, but this place is one of the few that I believe meets the standard. I haven't tried many of their other dishes, so I won't comment on them, but the overall environment is clean and cozy. I highly recommend it as a great lunch spot for office workers.在舊金山灣區極罕見能找到真正口味到底的日式親子丼，這一家是少數我認為親子丼有做到合格水平。其他的料理我並未吃太多，所以就不評價，但是整體環境乾淨小巧，強烈推薦給上班族作為午餐的好去處。

Small, quaint revolving sushi joint with quick and friendly service! The interior has dim lighting with both booth and bar style seating. Most plates are 5 for $20, with 2 nigiris or 3 pieces of cut roll, or dessert. You can also order more on a tablet at your table and the food gets delivered to you on a hello kitty delivery rail - super cute!

I was so excited to try this place since so many people raved about this. We were the first customers today and the service was incredibly slow. We waited 45 minutes for ramen, they ran out of udon, delivered our gyoza to the wrong table, put teriyaki sauce on our beef when we asked them not to. Also the weird thing is you have to order your utensils. I mean come on, if we ordered ramen, do we eat with our hands? Ridiculous we have to order spoons and chopsticks and wait for it after the ramen is here. My kids were losing it after 40 minutes and screaming I'm hungry. Definitely not a toddler friendly place if your kids can't sit still for a long time. Service is terrible, we had to wait for a long time to even pay. They offered to remake the teriyaki beef but I didn't have another 45 min to wait for them. Also there was just us and one other family of 3 there. It's not like they were super busy that's why it's so slow, there's was literally no one else but us and another family. Also the revolving sushi is a nice concept but there was barely any options and nothing good on the belt, better to just go to a normal restaurant and order what you like!I honestly don't know how others can rave about this place unless today was just an off day? Would not recommend.

I like the idea of conveyor belt sushi and I like the Hello Kitty decor in the restaurant, but maybe it was an off night when my friends and I came here. We were left with what I consider a lackluster experience.Papasan Rolls is located inside a plaza. There's parking in front, but it's a small section of parking compared to the rest of the plaza so you may have better luck parking on the other side and then walking over. The restaurant itself is relatively small. One look inside and you see the entire restaurant. They do try to utilize most of the space, but it's definitely not for large gatherings. There's a few different types of rolls going along the conveyor and then you can use the tablet to order additional items to your table. I must admit - I was enticed by the rainbow lights and the elevated mood of hanging with my friends, but the food to me was pretty average tasting. There was also an issue this night with our tablet because while we ordered food, only some of the food arrived at the table and the other foods seemed to have gone to another due to a mix up in numbers. The server was apologetic and quickly rectified it by getting the food re-ordered, but I just wasn't impressed by the flavor. Overall, 3 stars because it's a fun option if you're with friends or kids, but I wouldn't come here thinking I'm going to have the best sushi.
