I had chiles chicken rellenos to go, and were delicious! Service was very friendly. The sweet baked bread smells divine.

Very nice restaurant! I like the murals from the outside and inside. It is very spacious inside. The biggest table they have can sit up to 10 people, so great for family dinners. Our waiter was Carlos and he had the best patience while he took my family and I's order. He was also enthusiastic and always checked in on us during our meal. Their atol de elote and arroz con leche must be popular because we were able to get just one cup of atol de elote. It was delicious though. I pictured the dish I got and it was delicious too! The shrimp, onion, steak, avocado, and everything else was good! I give 4 stars because the place was cold. But I would come to eat there again! Great service. They also sell pan de Guatemala, chips from Guate, and candies too. The merch store is a good touch too to the theme: shirts, dresses, keychains, dolls, scarves, and jewelry. Lastly, they play marimba music while eating. Come here to get a taste of Guate!

The restaurant, as soon as you walk in, feels nice and spacious. However, pretty spiky prices for drinks, $8 each for "Bebidas Natural Grande".With a service charge for having a party of 8, where I personally didn't order any food, this place almost deserves a second chance because of how it looks and it's complimentary, semi-burnt, tostadas that look pretty. The food was good, according to my party. They enjoyed the platanos and steak. They do not split checks however and claim it is because it backs up the kitchen, despite there being only one other party at this restaurant tonight at that moment of ordering. Later we came to realize that they might not split checks into 2 because of the service charge issue that is mandated by California for parties of 8 or more. Had we known, things would have been different today.

Went my second time, I don't know why but the chicken was really purple. I know is gallina India they call and it wasn't fresh to me. I enjoyed the music. This is for the 23rd location. I will still try the San Pablo Ave location. I really enjoy Guatemalan food, but this is not the spot I was looking for even giving them a second chance.

Un robo con tostadas prehistóricas y un shuko momificadoDecidí probar Palacio Latino Restaurant & Bakery porque escuché buenas cosas, pero creo que entré a un universo alterno donde todo es al revés. Desde que llegué, el servicio fue más lento que una tortuga con sueño. Pedí unas tostadas y un shuko. ERROR. Las tostadas tardaron tanto en llegar que empecé a cuestionar si las estaban cultivando desde cero. Cuando finalmente aparecieron, ya no tenía hambre... solo tristeza y frustración. Y el shuko... madre mía. Parecía haber sido sacado de una cápsula del tiempo de hace 20 años. El pan estaba tan seco que podría haber servido como ladrillo en una construcción, y la salchicha tenía una vibra tan misteriosa que me hizo reconsiderar mis decisiones de vida. El ambiente no ayudó en nada. La música estaba a todo volumen, como si estuviera en una fiesta a la que nadie me invitó, lo que hizo aún más difícil tratar de ignorar la mala comida. Por si fuera poco, los precios son un chiste. El propietario parece más maduro que los ingredientes que usa, porque cada vez le sube más a los precios como si estuviera vendiendo oro en vez de comida. Al ritmo que va, pronto van a cobrar por respirar dentro del restaurante. Definitivamente, no vuelvo. Mejor me hago un sándwich en mi casa, será más rápido, más barato, y sin riesgo de viajar en el tiempo con un shuko momificado.

The food was so delicious and authentic to the Guatemalan cuisine I had growing up. Service was incredible and the servers were very nice.

Came here on a Sunday, struggled to order or communicate as no one staffed could accommodate non spanish speakers. Pointed to my item and payed, a breakfast torta. Food tasted full of flavor and was delicious, the coffee was not special. Wont be going back because of the communication barrier, but would recommend to those who would not have the same issue.

Pésimo servicio .. la comida no está muy buena .. si van a ir a comer esten Sabidos que les van a cobrar asta por estar parados dentro del lugar...bine De lejos a probar la comida y me fui deseocionada todo lo que venden esta carísimo.. y cobran ellas mismas la propina ... todo es recalentado así q antes de comprar allí asegúrense de precios y no se sienten a comer porque asta la mesa es cobrada ...
