Pad Thai Cuisine

This place is super easy to miss / check your map before coming!! I didn't realize the type of neighborhood or location this would be until I got here... if I had known, I might not have come by.They have pretty good deals for lunch specials -- we had Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and Thai Tea and it was under $30.Service was pretty quick thought it felt like we were rushed out even though it was only 1pm (closing was at 3pm) and the restaurant was only 30% full.My Pad Thai felt like it was soaking in tomato juice or ketchup for some reason. It wasn't bad but it wasn't... the best. I would recommend this place for the price and quantity for the lunch specials... but it's def not my fav Thai place in the area.

We came here for a birthday and were a large group. We ordered the 2 tom yum, penang curry, yellow curry, pad thai, pad kee mao, pad see ew and a few other dishes. All the dishes were quite good except for the pad thai. The service was a bit slow as it was clear they were understaffed so it took a while to get plates, silverware, bowls, etc. They got a few things on our order wrong but that's allright.Parking wa nearly easy to miss but it's all in the back. It's interesting as it looks like a house turned into a restaurant.Overall, pretty good value and quality. The lunch specials are quite the deal!

Delicious with very fair prices! Came here for lunch on a weekend and it wasn't crowded, so we got seated immediately. We got thai tea, chicken satay for appetizer, pad Thai, and red curry with pumpkin. All the items from the lunch menu were very affordable and the portions were good. We were so stuffed and took the leftover food.

Best kept secret for great Thai food. Limited hours so check before going. Moderate prices and fresh ingredients .

Ordered takeout and the food was tasty and the service was good (hence the stars) but the portions were on the small side- the plastic cylinder container of eggplant was just over half filled, the soup was about 1/3 filled and the noodles (overcooked) were just enough to cover the base of the clamshell container. Next time I'd eat there in person to see what it's like.

Came in for the first time today and ordered a chicken dish. I felt like the chicken was boiled only and almost dry. It seemed like it was slightly fried after it was boiled though, and it had a very odd consistency. I wish they would get diced chicken and grill it with seasonings, and flavor it instead.

Pad Thai cuisine is definitely the best choice in CV for Thai food. I think their meat is always good-- never dealt with chewy chicken or old tasting shrimp. We are big fans of their pa ram chicken as well as the pumpkin curry. They are generous with sauces and generous with veggies in the curry, though it is often hard to find pieces of tofu in the tofu curry. Thai iced tea here is great. Takeout and in person dining are both fast. For two people (3-5 dishes) it takes 15min for them to bring it all out. The restaurant is small and wheelchair accessible. The parking lot is kind of difficult but not impossible.

The price hasn't changed in years thank you big portions with a salad and drink during lunch this is my favorite Thai place in Castro Valley. I ordered one Thai tea and one Thai iced coffee but got two Thai teas instead I will have to try the coffee another day :' (

Top to bottom fantastic experience. Red curry extra veggies was ready when I arrived. Lunch special is a crazy good deal. Taste was on point. Veggies cut, cooked, and mixed appropriately. Thai tea coconut milk was fantastic. Maybe throw in a lil mini appetizer with the lunch special is my only suggestion but still definitely five stars. New customer gained today.

We have now had take-out several more times. My husband had to insist on eggplant in the green curry (there wasn't any last time) and boy, did we get eggplant and nothing else. The noodle dish was o.k. especially after a liberal dousing of soy vinegar, barely any eggs, lots of white chicken. My husband tried the yellow curry which was decent except he ordered it with shrimp and got a generous amount of white chicken meat instead. He also ordered the "crispy chicken wings" which were small, unseasoned and leathery. And not a touch of heat on anything. Let's talk about that chicken: dry, overcooked, tasteless except for the curry sauce. And this same dry white chicken meat is in everything. I keep chickens and they eat whatever leftovers I give them. They would not eat this chicken meat. Perhaps in-house dining is different, but I'll never order take-out from this place again.
