My little ones love it here. We love going to the food market and getting entree plate with diniguan and beef steak. The sinigang is good as well. They also have a version of picadillo with qual eggs that is yummy. They're always really kind and helpful. It's a store so it's noisy and lively. But perfect for all my noisy kids.

I come here regularly, mainly for the mushroom varieties and other grocery items. Food isles are clean and store is mid size, not as large as some of the other Asian grocery stores in the area. Also plenty of parking.

I stopped by this place kind of randomly while I was in the area and needed some groceries before going home (to East Oakland), and was so impressed! The produce is super high quality and very affordably priced. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful. If I lived closer I would be shopping here all the time!

Convenient Asian grocery store for fresh produce, fruits and ingredients. It's located in the Arroyo Center, which is a small strip mall, right across from Arroyo High. There's plenty of parking. Pacific Ranch has very organized aisles and the different sections are laid out neatly. When I am unable to make a trip out to Oakland Chinatown for my groceries, I like to come here for specific ingredients to make Asian dishes. Safeway and Lucky's are good alternatives, but it's not the same. I prefer an Asian grocery store because they carry many different products that normal American grocery stores do not. There are several restaurants close by, so it's great to come here after a meal, to stroll around and do some shopping. I would highly recommend a visit to Pacific Ranch for your cooking or baking needs.

As a student seeking affordable groceries and a pleasant shopping experience, I made the mistake of stepping foot into Pacific Ranch Supermarket. Let me share my horrific encounter in this place. The store layout was a complete disaster. It felt like a labyrinth designed to confuse and frustrate shoppers. The aisles were overcrowded with products haphazardly strewn about, making it difficult to find what I needed. The lack of organization only added to the already chaotic atmosphere, leaving me feeling nauseated and wasting valuable time.To make matters worse, the staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful. When I approached an employee to get about a particular item, they gave me an indifferent shrug and pointed me in a vague direction. It was as if they couldn't care less about providing any form of assistance or customer service. Moreover, the checkout process was an exercise in patience. The queues were long and moved at a snail's pace, with seemingly no urgency from the cashiers to speed things up. It was frustrating to see a lack of consideration for students who are often on tight schedules and can't afford to waste time waiting in line.In addition, I had an unfortunate encounter that left me feeling hurt and disheartened. As I walked past one of the supermarket employees, a lady made an insensitive comment loud enough for me to hear to one of the other workers: "You want to take her?" Which followed with laughter amongst the cashiers. Although it may have been intended as a joke, it deeply affected me. It's disappointing to experience such inappropriate and disrespectful behavior in a public setting. It's crucial for supermarket staff to understand the impact their words can have on customers and to foster an environment of inclusivity and respect for all.Lastly, the store's selection of student-friendly products was abysmal. Instead of stocking essential items like affordable meal options, stationery, or study supplies, they seemed more focused on extravagant and unnecessary products that only a select few could afford. This supermarket clearly prioritizes profit over the needs of students, leaving us feeling neglected and undervalued. In conclusion, Pacific Ranch Supermarket is a prime example of a store that fails to cater to the needs of students. With exorbitant prices, disorganized layout, unhelpful staff, and a lack of student-friendly products, this supermarket should be avoided at all costs. Save yourself the headache and seek out alternative options that actually appreciate student customers.

Summary: We found this place by Yelper and it is an awesome discovery. It is WAY better than 99 Ranch. Outside: Big parking lot on a quiet street. You won't notice it much. The exterior is not fancy at all. (The building is a bit older)Inside: Cleaned and organized. As you explore, you will notice little things that makes this place solid. 1) Variety/Selections: Everything from meat, seafood, veggie to packaged, they have a huge variety. Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Filipino, Korea . I was able to get authentic sauces. 2) Fresh stuff: I like they have fresh rice noodle, Vietnamese fish cake, Asian 'tamale', Elite bakery bread. We were there at 9am and they were still hot! 3) Value: Pretty standard. 4) Service: All the workers are very polite. They care to organize the produce nicely. :)

Their meat/produce is so much more expensive than Asian markets around Oakland from areas like International/12th St between 5th & 12th aves...0r Oak Chinatown...plus they don't carry more obscure items like Vietnamese black rice/dried shrimp crackers (that you microwave to puff em up) They are good when they have sales though. and are convenient and closer to Berkeley

Guy behind seafood counter obviously was having a bad day. Huffing when asked questions and rolling eyes is not top tier customer service. I'll go to the other store in a few cities over.
