Friendly service here every time I come. They really know their stuff when it comes to describing the various wine options to you.Once in a while they host events in the backyard with a diverse array of vendors. They also have light bites you can buy to compliment the wine.

Wow what a great wine shop and bar in the neighborhood! Super friendly staff who were very attentive with keeping our wine chilled and glasses filled. It's a very bright, calm atmosphere with great lighting. It's a nice place for a catch up or small group.

Decent wine selection. I went on one of their vendor days and I'd say the outside patio area is definitely too small for the amount of booths they packed in there. They had tacos from Xula (which isn't a business on Yelp yet, or at least I couldn't find them). I should leave the two stars for them actually. The wine bar seems cool though. They have a few stand up tables with limited stools, and a large self serve water, which is important. One gender neutral bathroom, so long lines though I imagine that's not the case on typical business days.

Excellent customer service at Oakland Yard. I stopped by yesterday to see what kinds of wines they have...they have a huge selection of world archived wines with many many varieties. Personally I like a mild red with a simple fruity taste. My aunt likes a Rose...so I'm going to see later on about getting her a delicious Rose at a good price. I tasted a few reds while there. That is very helpful.

I felt welcome from the moment I stepped in the door. The staff member at the register immediately asked how he could help and gave my dog a treat before I finished asking, as I usually do, if it was okay to bring her in with me. We were there as a part of The Lede's anniversary neighborhood bar crawl (a fantastic idea, by the way) so I headed back to the bar for the Negroni Sbagliato. The bartender was incredibly knowledgeable about what he was pouring, and chatted with me about Loire Valley wines when I spied their special bottle sale of the week on the counter. That and many others I saw were from interesting, not your run-of-the-mill regions, and of fair prices between $30 - $40. I can't wait to stop back in for a glass (or three...) on the sidewalk with tacos from Tacos Oscar next door or their bar snacks in-house.

I walk in YARD and man look like ready for sleeping. He show no interest in work. He look at me and not speak. I look and see many chioces but I am not wine person- it for my hot pot party. I ask him for sweet wine. He select one that say 60.00 he say only- very sweet, then again very sweet. He now awake and standing and yawning very wide. I shy and when he move away I move out.

Great little wine shop just down the street from where I live luckily. They have a wide selection of wines from different countries and we often enjoy the new things that we try there. We usually don't buy the same thing multiple times even though there are a few we've quite enjoyed just because there's so much else to try. Also, the under $15 section in the middle offers some great value - check it out. They also have a wine club that seems pretty reasonable and I think gives you 10% off on regular bottles that you buy. We haven't pulled the trigger yet but probably will one day. Also, love that they have Dandelion at the register but I refuse to buy any until they stock the one from Tanzania! #home

Oakland Yard was always on my list of places to check out. always assumed i would see it on a drive by. never did. today, i happened to stop at Tacos Oscar. and Oakland Yard was just a few doors over. sadly, it's only online ordering and pick up. no more shelf browsing.offerings: wide selection of wine styles, chocolates, local beer, artisan provisions.there's some interesting items i haven't seen anywhere else. beers may seem pricey. still it's cheaper than at the source. also, many breweries aren't open now. the only way to support them is by buying their cans. CAN DO!

I love this quaint wine bar. It's close to MacArthur station in Temescal. Walk right in and try not to be stunned at all the wine bottle offerings! There's a wall full of them. And the people there are really nice! They were ready and super helpful explaining the process to us new customers. You can either pick up a bottle, have a glass, or do a tasting. I went for a nice light glass of rosé for $9. Generous pour for sure. Sorry, I forgot the name! But light and crisp and oh so good. I think the offerings change as well. They also sell some cheese and meats and offer boards and knives for you to set up yourself. More so it's for a quick snack and not a full blown meal. It's mostly all about the wine here really. And they do their wine very well. You can sit inside or out front in the nooks. I loved it, sipping wine with a nice breeze and quietly people watching. This is a business I can relax at and very much would enjoy coming to again!
