Oakland Smoke Shack

I ordered the brisket and chicken for a Rosh Hashanah party and I'm so glad I did! EVERYONE wanted to know where the brisket was from. It was absolutely delicious. The chicken was also perfect and delicious, but let's face it, beautifully smoked brisket is a tough act to follow. We also had the spinach salad and the mac & cheese. Also great. I'll be ordering from Matt again and again. If you're searching for the best brisket and chicken in the area, this is it! P.S. I requested a 5:15 delivery time and they arrived on the dot!

I came here when they were providing food at a winery which was a good thing. I'm glad they were there and I appreciate that they had some food that was edible and good. The portions are quite small, though. And my thoughts aren't about the taste, which was acceptable, but on the presentation. We got the three meat plate and all of the sides were smushed together in one compartment. I was hoping to have some baked beans, however, they were littered with flecks of cornbread (probably not gluten free) and bits of mac and cheese (definitely not gluten free). Additionally it was almost on top of the potato salad (mayo-yech). So some of the meat had those issues as well.So the food was OK and the sides were mixed in and there was a sprinkling of cornbread over everything. The places I love to go to don't do this. So, three stars for me. I can't say that I'd order from them. My husband liked it, but he eats almost anything. I probably wouldn't go back. I'm bringing my own food next time!

Matt's food and service was amazing!He catered for my parents 50th wedding anniversary for 130 guests but we had well over 150 guests show-up and fill their tummy's. Not only was their plenty of food for seconds BUT they all raved and loved the food. I was a little hesitant due to the fact that the majority of the guests are Hispanic and they are so accustomed to Mexican food but boy was i wrong. They loved all the meats and sides. The Brisket was the winner, followed by the hotlinks oh and i cant fail to mention the "Juicy" chicken including juiciest chicken breast they have ever had...:)Spinach salad and baked beans was also a big hit!I'm so excited to have met Matt and will definitely conduct more business with him in the near future!Thanks Matt!

I hired Oakland Smoke Shack for my son's baptism, and it was quite the hit with all of our relatives! We had meat eaters as well as vegetarians and Matt was able to make everyone happy and full! The portions were generous, so we actually relatives "helping themselves" to the leftovers to prepare to go plates without asking ;). Due to the rave reviews from the baptism, we are also reached out to Oakland Smoke Shack for my grandpa's birthday.

This place is the best!! I reached out to them just a few days before our housewarming party. Matt responded right away and was very easy to work with. They delivered delicious food right on time and everyone loved it. Everyone complimented it and asked where we got the food! We did the pulled pork with slider buns, roasted chicken, mac and cheese, coleslaw, and quinoa salad. I made a salad and added dessert, and we were good to go! I can't believe how easy and seamless the whole process was. The pulled pork was great and their BBQ sauce is amazing. The mac and cheese was also really good. It was the perfect combo of food for us - we had quite a few families with kids so I particularly appreciated that it was delicious and still kid-friendly. My only caveat is that we way over ordered. Next time, I'd underestimate. But now we have leftovers so it's not too bad!Thanks Matt and team for an awesome experience! Can't wait to work with you again.

We cannot say enough great things about Oakland Smoke Shack. Matt catered our Baby Shower (Baby-Q) for around 65 people and everyone was raving about the food. We had a tasting beforehand so we already knew it was going to be great but it was so nice to have happy guests. We ordered the brisket, pulled pork and chicken along with mac and cheese, beans and coleslaw as sides (plenty of leftovers!) The chicken was by far the crowd favorite and I swear he puts crack in the mac and cheese because my husband could not stop eating it. He's super responsive and reasonable so we felt really great supporting his business and would highly recommend his services for any big event!

Oakland Smoke Shack has the best smoked meat I have ever had. Tasty and tender brisket and chicken. The pulled pork was juicy and went great with the homemade BBQ sauce and coleslaw. The Mac and cheese is to die for and the portobello mushrooms are amazing. Service was friendly and delivery went great. I recommend this catering service to all of my friends. I can't wait to order again and try additional menu items.

Fabulous food at my 4th of July celebration. People could not stop raving about how good the food was at my party. The bbq meat, the potato salad and beans were all delicious!! Matt was wonderful and followed through 110%! Highly recommend!

Wanted to take a moment to share about the amazing food and even better customer service I received from the Oakland smoke shack. I work in business development and was tasked with getting bbq for 40 people on very short notice. Additionally, the delivery location was not ideal. The owner of the company was extremely communicative and thorough. I found him to be extremely professional and helpful. This company really were the heroes of the day and they made me look good with my boss and our guests that day.Now, let's talk about the food. As I said, I had two days to get food for so I chose to sample most of the menu. The smoked St. Louis ribs were so, so good. I loved how tender and flavorful the seasoned chicken was. They had vegan sausage options which were awesome as well (so say my friends that had that option). The smoked brisket was probably my favorite. But the smoked pulled pork and smoked apple sausage crushed it as well.All the sides I had were super tasty also! I would write more about it but the more I do the hungrier it is making me. The long and short of this is you can't go wrong ordering from this company. I will definitely be a repeat customer when I hold events here in the future

Had a BBQ for 35 people yesterday done by Oakland Smoke Shack. Ordered brisket, baby back ribs, chicken. Sides included baked beans, potatoe salad and corn on the cob. They food was out of this world delicious!! The meats were tender moist and very flavorful. People couldn't stop talking how great the food was.Matt delivered everything right on time piping hot.If you are planning a BBQ, Matt at the Oakland Smoke Shack is the only way to go!
