- fast turnover, won't have to wait long for a table- place order with host first, then you sit down at the table (so have your order ready)- highly recommend hu tieu mi bo kho, consistently good and large chunks of meat - pro-tip: ask for extra lemons and combine with salt/pepper for a dipping sauce

2-3 stars objectively but I want to put 4.3 stars for memories. You've been here; you know it; it's exactly the same. This location is cleaner and faster than in Mountain View.If you've never been, it's big cheap fast and crowded. Mostly Mexicans who call it Chinese, but it's Vietnamese. Dishes are mostly dough, some meat, and rarely any vegetables. It's not very good food or dining experience but it's comfortable.I'd recommend the taro fried dough with egg (warning contains peanut!) Or rice noodle soups. We always get a couple pounds of frozen meatballs and a cup of orange juice when we pay. It's the only reason we come anymore.Used to be $6 before the pandemic, but now it's $12 for a bowl.

I used to frequent the older San Jose Tung Kee Noodle location as a kid and I've always loved their #1 combo rice stick noodle soup, freshly squeezed orange juice, and #30 fried taro cake. When my parents told me there was a 'new' tung kee noodle that opened relatively recently, I was excited to try it. The rice stick noodle soup is no longer as salty/msg-y (which I kind of liked)... now it's blander (probably so you can adjust the soup yourself if you so choose), so I add some of their housemade chili sauce to go with it (which is quite good actually!) This could've been hotter, but I like my soup pipping hot. My husband got the #2 spicy beef satay, but he liked mine better. It was quite good, though not spicy at all. This place is packed on the weekends when I went, but the food comes out pretty fast so the turnover is relatively quick. Loved the fried taro cake, it was so good! Fresh, piping hot, and massive portions for the price. The prices are extremely reasonable - soups were $12 ish and the taro cake was ~$12 as well. Freshly squeezed orange juice is very good and tart. A little pricey but juices usually are nowadays. A dollar or two more if you want no ice. Pay at the front with your table number when you're done. Would definitely come again for some comfort food.

Out of the three locations i've been to, this NTK is the best one hands down. I always opt for #1, which is the Combination Rice Stick Soup (ho fun) with no chicharron and #20 Fried Taro Flour Cake w/Egg & Peanut. The staff here are always friendly and we always go early enough to be seated immediately. Combination Rice Stick Soup (5/5) - I love that the noodles are always separated (unlike the other locations) and the clear broth is so soothing for the soul. This dish comes with all sorts of meat such as shrimp, chicken, pork and beef balls.Fried Taro Flour Cake w/Egg & Peanut (5/5) - I look forward to this dish because it's so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I love the sauce it comes with and the crunch of the peanuts and flavor of the egg. Pro tip- I love using the vinegar sauce that the flour cake comes with and add it to the soup for more flavor. The vinegar and savory sauce gives the clear broth an extra umami. My fiancé and I come here once a couple months and can't wait to be back!

I took my mom here for dinner. We got seated pretty quick. Menus are posted at each table stall wall. We ordered two dishes, a combo vermicelli and taro flour cake with egg peanut. Both dishes were delicious! Our food came out pretty quick too. Overall, enjoyed my dinner with my mom.

This place gets pretty busy but the lines moves quickly since the food comes quickly. It's like a Chinese Vietnamese fusion noodle restaurant. The food did come quickly but it wasn't hot and the noodles were pretty slippery to hold with the chopsticks. It took awhile for our tea to come even after we were eating. The food overall was ok. I did like seeing taro and daikon cakes on the menu and satay beef noodle but the satay sauce tasted more like spicy sauce instead of than the expected peanut/lemongrass.

I've been to plenty of "king noodle" places and this is probably the best one! This place is cleaner than any other noodle places I've been too and the staff was friendly! They even refilled our drinks without us asking! (Wow) I got their #1 and their broth was amazing, the noodles were yummy and basically very tasty! Will definitely come back with my boo agai

Fast, tasty, good service. That's all you can ask for and New Tung Kee definitely delivers. With a decent amount of space for dining in, you can see the remenants of the once Covid era restrictions (acrylic glass dividing all seating areas)--which seems like a distant past, long long ago. Still, with some new fangled technology (iPad ordering system) and quick service, you will get your tasty food quickly! I noticed that maybe about half of the people dine in and half order take out--but I would guess that more order take out. Plenty of parking outside in the lot. Food is enjoyable, just what you'd expect.

*Local family chain* Parking: Lot is large, but has sprouts, home goods and other eateries and gets very crowded. I plan around off-hours.This restaurant chain is consistent from the way I remember my first time over 20 yrs ago. Even though the prices have doubled, the portions are large and they use quality ingredients. We ordered: Combination won ton rice noodles and egg noodles and the bowl was packed with ingredients, and the daikon dipped in egg and browned is delicious and a good portion as well. This is the 2nd restaurant I have tried the soda with salted plum drink and it's better here. I think I'm addicted. They have a good selection of Vietnamese drinks and hot tea as well.Similar to other Asian restaurants, they take your order when you are seated and provide tour table number when you pay at the counter.Don't worry if the restaurant is empty because it fills up quickly and their efficient service provides a quick meal when you want it.
