100% authentic Chinese market:Produce!!!! Meat, seafood, fry goods, frozen offerings, nice staff, smells clean, small parking lot.

New Tin's has things that I cannot buy at a Ranch 99 or Koreana Plaza (KP) on Telegraph. For example, I found stuffed fish balls for Lunar New Year. They have a wide selection of produce on display outside and a small parking lot, which is a big deal in Oakland Chinatown. They have a small fish market and Chinese bbq stand inside as well.The problem is their poor Covid controls. The staff have masks and shields, but there is no control in the number of people going inside. Their aisles are narrow and there are open bins of items, like beans without covers. I mean. Most grocery stores no longer put dry goods out in bins for health safety issues. People bump up to you and will not back off even if you point to the six feet markers. The management is not monitoring the situation at all. Not surprisingly, the cashiers are in a very bad mood. I tried if I could use Apple Pay (no sign informing people what forms of payment are accepted) and got a long sour stare before getting a "yes" in a rude tone. And she totally understood me - so it wasn't a language issue.I am a big supporter of Chinatown establishments. Disappointed doesn't even come close. KP in Korea town is light years ahead on safety measures and customer service.

A bit crowded neighborhood store with relatively decent fruit and veggie selection, along with well priced authentic produce from China. Great and observant managment (thank you). Few minor issues: lack of English speaking staff and very tight parking.None of the factors bothers from coming back third year in a row. Sisye

Huge selection of food and ingredients to cook nearly any Chinese recipe :) Mainly take cash! So bring enough

****This Score is purely based on snacks****This market is ultimately one of my favorite places to go whenever I'm in the area. They have some of the best selections of lay's chips and lots of other yummy asian snacks. They are very much on trend in terms of the vast variety of drinks and snacks. There is also lots of interesting cup noodles. Like LiZhiQi's cup noodles. Yes, that's right, the youtuber Lizhiqi has a line of cup noodles and you can find it here. The downside is that it is relatively small and crowded.

A wide range of groceries, meats, snacks, noodle, and fish to choose from. A parking lot right outside of the market, but it's almost always full and looking for parking is a pain around the area. Pandemic enforcement:* 6ft sticker on the floor at the cashier area to keep social distance * Staffs wears masks * A plexi glass between the cashier and customers Even though there's a 6 ft stickers to enforce social distancing, but there are always people around that never care and just want to hurry their way to get whatever they're getting I only like this place because they have a wide range of products and there's no minimum to pay by credit card. However, staffs there would care less about people not wearing masks and not following the guideline (take off one star from here.

I have no complaints, honestly. That said, I only go here for some select vegetables (bokchoi, sweet potato, broccoli), noodles, and sambal. I like the fact that there is no credit card minimum too. It's easily accessible via public transportation and it is worth noting that although it does have a parking lot, it is a rather small one. One day I will explore their meat section.

Have pretty much everything including chinese BBQ and fresh seafood including the rare king crab.Parking is a pain but the turnover is quite fast.During pandemic times, need to wear gloves as well as masks.

Old butcher guy was completely nut case. Bought pig feets and told him don't cut it. He won't/didn't listen and just cuts it. I was literally screaming no cut but he kept cutting. And the guy next to me yelled something in Chinese and he finally looked around but didn't stop and finished cutting the last piece. So I told him I don't want the cut up piece. I told him to give me whole feet. He refused!!!!! Like god dayum. The lady behind the counter asked me what happened and I explained and she told him to get new one but he said NO. Like WTH? Why being a jerk?

Very good service for Chinese seafood meats vegatble,grocery and fruits . Price is very good
