I loved this place! Went here with my wife, very soon after Foster Freeze had closed. We must have gone to Foster over 30 times in 15 years.I was blown away by the service. The real sugar sodas. I'm a Total Brunch guy and this place is tops in Brunch! Waffles, eggs, yummy concoctions! All 100% DELICIOUS!!!!Highly contagious and RECOMMENDED!!!

Almost all that could go wrong went wrong. Based on breakfast, I have no idea how this establishment is getting any 4 or 5 star reviews. It was a disaster. They need to sort themselves out: Seating was easy but the wait just to order was too long. And there weren't many others there eating. I ordered the eggs benedict and asked for no tomatoes, onions or kale on it. But the eggs were served with tomatoes and onions. Once they corrected the order, the egg whites tasted sour, disgusting. I assume they used far too much vinegar when poaching the eggs (that's my partner's theory, after tasting it). There was only about a tablespoon of hollandaise sauce involved too. It was baffling. The potato wedges were a wrinkly, dry and burned mess. All this and the whole meal was overpriced. Positives: The waiter who returned my botched eggs was pleasant, quick. Also, the vinaigrette on the salad was good.

Finally got to get a chance to eat here! They only do dine ins Monday thru Friday. Otherwise it's takeout only. The food overall is mediocre. I thought it was pretty mid unfortunately. Service was great here! Food came fast and our server was super nice. Ambiance is pretty good--there's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors.WHAT WE GOT:- Matcha Latte: 3/5 pretty good but nothing special- Hazelnut Latte: 4/5 well made but a little sweet- Caprese Panini: 2/5 this was kind of disappointing. I was hoping for a nice toasty sandwich, but instead it seemed like they barely pressed it. It was not toasty and warm. The bread was soggy and I think it's bc they didn't use the right type of bread. There was way too much mozzarella and not enough basil.- Breakfast Burrito with Bacon: 3/5 this was okay, the flavor was your typical breakfast burrito. The portion size was pretty small and instead of potatoes they use sweet potatoes which was interesting--not something we were expecting.Overall this was an okay breakfast spot, nothing amazing.

Has a go-to window outside for coffee. Really fast and quick service. Got an iced spaniard was really good to sip on walking around the beach.

It is Jan 2024 and Neptune is open for dine in Monday-Friday 8:30-2:30pm. It is takeout only at the window on the weekends, which is so sad since weekends are the ultimate brunch time for peeps. Neptune's ambiance and service has always been nice. Each of the employees we've encountered have been very pleasant each time we go there, whether it be dine in or at the take out window. Neptunes has our favorite coffee on the island! They also have Filipino fusion classics that we feeds our cravings such as Longanisa Silog and Fried Chicken Silog. The prices are a bit up there, which I can expect in the Bay Area so it's nothing too surprising. Today, I was introduced to Chorizo Tots which were SO EFFING DELICIOUS and filling. I absolutely loved the different toppings on it and the fact that the tots were very crispy. They were a great recommendation by our server, and I look forward to getting them again. Some things Im sad about: not open for dine in on the weekends, and they don't have fountain drinks with complimentary refills (I go through soda FAST when I'm eating something salty. Let a girl get her Sprite!!!) Bottom line: I'll see them again for dine in soon

Went for breakfast burritos. The burrito was good but not amazing. For $11-12 (pretty standard price in the area) that can be forgiven. However, what was absurd was the up charge for the "meal" which was about $4-$5 extra for just a few tater tots. They also tasted stale and like they were from the frozen aisle. Also, the girl at the window isnt very friendly -- almost feels like you're burdening them by giving them business. If you go, call ahead and make sure you just get the burrito. I think they threw in some junk fees on our bill too -- not sure how two breakfast burritos made it to $30 (and then asked for tip after bad window service, lol). Won't be back any time soon.

We are so happy that the dining room has reopened.I don't think we've been here since 2019.Visited here this morning for brunch.Same good service and fun vibe, interesting menu, good food.Chilaquiles for the wife.Fried chicken silog and longanisa lumpia for me.Fresh squeezed OJ.

Very disappointing that Neptune's never reopened for sit-down dining, only take-out. What a total waste of a great space. This place was super popular on the weekends as a brunch destination, and a much-needed addition to Alameda's West End business district. Despite ongoing pleas from many loyal customers over the past three years, they have not brought back sit-down dining, and have been unresponsive to inquiries as to if/when they plan to fully reopen. At least let people know what to expect. Now they only operate through a take-out window. No thanks, I can cook at home; I go out for the experience, not just for the food. If they ever decide to fully reopen, I will update this review.

It'It's a cute place, and the parking is adequate. The food is average, and the steak fries I ordered were under-seasoned. However, my son ordered waffles and said they were delicious, and the batter was nice and fluffy. The service seemed a bit slow, probably because only one server was trying to manage everything. Maybe this is more of a place to order your food and eat at home. My son had to get up a few times to ask for more syrup or anything else we needed. I'm interested in how they are redoing the patio - it seems like a nice enclosed space with flowers, so that seems to be nice..

Came here to say on a Friday morning. Ordered a French toast. Doesn't even look like any of the pictures they have on yelp. Very disappointing. They skimped out on all the fruits you see on their yelp.
