I end up here a lot because my family loves the Public Market and my son loves avocado rolls. Despite this, I can't bring myself to rate it more than three stars because the price to value ratio just isn't there. The food is expensive and the drinks are ridiculously expensive. Obviously I expect a convenience markup on soft drinks, but this place marks them up a lot more than other restaurants in the market. And don't click too quickly through the Square checkout screen, because the tip suggestions are insane. I think it defaults to like 25 percent -- for ordering at a counter?! Anyway, the avocado rolls are fresh and delicious. And my friends who order more adventurous sushi have not had any complaints. So the food is solid, but the prices or portion sizes need to change. Look, I know we're all dealing with inflation and bay area prices, but this is a CASUAL restaurant in a food court. The prices and tip expectations shouldn't be on par with a sit down restaurant.

In the Emeryville public market, this mainly sushi place also had donburi rice bowls. We ordered the chicken version. It came piping hot with loads of chicken, carrots and broccoli. The portion size was big and the price very reasonable. It was a healthy option that I would order again.

I decided to try this spot since I was craving something small and refreshing but I wasn't expecting to pay so much for such small portions. A single hand roll was $10 and 6 piece roll was $8. I was however glad the fish seemed pretty fresh, so I'll give it a 3 /5.

We came here after Koja Kitchen closed early, and I ordered the California roll. The roll came out quickly and it was pretty basic, nothing special. But it was nice that the staff here is pretty efficient and that the rolls were pretty good. I do think the rolls were missing sesame seeds in top though, and could have used a little more avocado.

I had high hopes for this spot but left disappointed. First of all it's located inside the public market space and like all its neighbors it competes for our business. Public market has a fairly large dinning area and when seems busy most of the time. The sushi station is small in size and easy to miss. With such small overhead I would expect lower prices or much bigger portions. But the sushi rolls are priced HIGH and two specialty rolls will run you north of $40. The quality of sushi was good but I ended up with small pieces of CLEAR PLASTIC in my food and that is just not cool. Service was good and the lady at the register was very helpful.

Feeling a little indifferent about this place. Wanted something different for a treat this weekend and stopped off at the Public Market My boys agreed upon Sushi this weekWe got teriyaki Bento box and a Lion King roll. The pricing seemed a little high for what we got. And the person taking our order seem a little impatient. The food was tasty but there are other options for good sushi around the bay at a little more affordable pricing

There's a new sushi spot in Emeryville's Public Market! Naru Sushi laid roots next to Casa and at first glance, has a pretty pricey menu, which is expected for being housed in a newly renovated market + inflation.Decided to take a break from Super Duper Burgers and give it its first Yelp review.-Titanic Roll $19.95 (subbed tuna for salmon) - the roll looked promising - decently sized w/ cucumber, shrimp (FYI not tempura shrimp) inside topped with salmon, avocado and spicy crab. After a bite, I noticed that the roll was very rice-heavy, which was making it look big. The taste was ok- I felt like it was missing something. -Salmon sashimi appetizer (4 pieces) $12- fresh and tasty but kinda small for the price. Overall, an average Japanese spot for sushi. Debating whether I would return- there's a lot of competition in the PM!

The food isn't good. no easier way to put it. The worst miso soup on the planet. The worst seaweed salad on the planet. And on top of that, if you forget to buy your beverage, and you go back and say can I get this bottle of sparkling water, they tell you there is a $6 minimum for a credit card charge.Importantly, no other vendor inside the public market has a minimum for credit card charge. Clearly this business owner is either inexperienced or incompetent.

We had sashimi and the cherry blossom roll. It was pricy and tasted fresh. I like the environment at the public market. Fun to people watch and grab a drink at the bar.
