Still the best in Danville/Dublin/San Ramon/Pleasanton... Appetizer:* Crispy Crab Cheese Puffs 5/5* Hot and Sour Soup (the best hot & sour soup) 5/5Entree: * Hong Kong Style Crispy Noodle with Prawn, Chicken, Beef & Vegetables with Garlic Sauce On Top. Hands down the best HK style crispy noodle. A generous serving of prawns, chicken, beef and veggies. 5/5* Spicy Green Bean Chicken 5/5* Honey Walnut Prawns 5/5The best honey walnut prawns i've ever had. Large prawns, perfectly deveined & crispy. The sauce is perfect and not overly drenched on the prawn. The candied walnuts was sweetened nicely. This dish made me happy. i'll be reordering often :)* bowl of white rice. Food is consistent. Quality is impeccable. And the service is always friendly and just right.See you soon Nanking Bistro & thank you for being so delicious...

So drove from San Leandro because I heard the original owners of "Little Namking" moved their business to this place. I ordered the infamous "salt n pepper" fish which was my absolute favorite when they were in San Leandro. However, my S&P fish DID NOT have that distinctive flavor they used to have so I'm not sure if the rumors are true? Plus it had a light red batter which DEFINITELY was never at the original little namking???? Don't me wrong EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING was fantastic... but that original little NamKing salt n pepper just is no longer!!!!! As well the pepper seasoning was completely different..... it used to be white onion, green and red bell pepper plus a little jalapeno chopped up without a very distinctive flavor... and the veggie was slightly cooked but still crispy. Now theirs is red onion and green bell pepper over cooked and that distinctive flavor isn't there???? It was VERY disappointing But the food was worth the 30 minute drive. I also ordered Szechuan beef, which is thin slices of beef, deep fried and a slightly spicy sweet sauce. Of course, the salt and pepper fish. Spicy, honey glaze fried tofu, veggie chow mein, and a side of white rice. The honey glazed tofu is very good and the Szechuan beef is very good. The chow mein was good as well. Had a very good flavor and well seasoned. I definitely come back. This is a very good restaurant. They had a lot of customers as well as people picking up to go orders and there's a lot of nice other restaurants around. They are located in a small plaza so there's plenty of parking. The customers were very nice, but if you're coming for a takeout order, I suggest calling cause I walked in and had to wait one hour.

Nanking Bistro is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. There are a lot of Chinese restaurants, but if I had to pick, this would be my top spot. They are open from Tuesday to Sunday, 11:30-2:30pm and reopen from 4:30-9:00pm. For delivery, they accept orders from 5-8pm.Ambiance: 7/10Medium size dining area. Nothing much to say here.Food: 9/10I love coming here for their salt and pepper chicken wings and dry fried honey chicken wings. My son likes their fried rice and broccoli beef.Parking: 9/10A lot of parking! If you want dessert, foster freeze is next door.Service: 10/10I usually call for takeout and have never had a problemOverall, I love coming here for their chicken wings. It's really good. Don't believe me, try it for yourself. Enjoy!

A pleasant surprise in downtown Danville. The town has several Chinese restaurants but Nanking stands out a little higher than the rest. I have a friend who eats primarily Chinese food only so we have been trying out the various local Chinese restaurants in town and Nanking was next up.I tried the Pork Chop with Green Beans lunch special and upgraded to fried rice for the starch option. My friend had the House Hong Kong Style Choy Mein with gray with chicken, beef and prawns (you get three prawns with the beef and chicken). The lunch special comes with hot and sour soup and strips of fried wonton ton. The pork chops had a very nice flavor with about 6 pieces and a dozen string beans. The chow mein was good, probably from the seasoning on the pork chops that was on top of the noodles. Soup was good. I had the rice option with my lunch plate on a different visit and the flavor was good. The gravy on the chow mein had good flavor too and a good variety of vegetables and meat. The lunch menu is not very long. Nanking is a family run business so staffing is limited. You'll need to be patient, nice people but at times it might be hard to find someone to flag down.I've been back a couple of times and plan to try some of the other dishes. Good solid Chinese restaurant and reasonably priced.

Had takeout tonight. BBQ fried rice, honey walnut prawns, spicy green beans and chicken and chow fun with Mongolian black bean beef. Ordering online was easy, it was done on time and parking is easy. Nice staff. All 4 items were delicious! Prawns fresh and not over mayo'd. Chow fun perfect amount of spice as were the really tasty green beans and chicken. Finally, great fried rice. Our evolving "go to" for Chinese food.

One of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to in the East Bay! Such a hidden gem! The food was extremely fresh and flavorful!! The meat was so tender and good quality and they did not skimp on the quantity of the meat either. I loved the spiciness of the hot and sour soup and the flavors of the Mongolian beef and broccoli beef. The service was very quick and our waitress was kind, it was a quiet peaceful dinner during the week. Not too loud or busy.

This place has outstanding chicken wings, and the Mongolian beef chow fun and the orange beef are also excellent. Also the service is very good. One time I accidentally double-tipped (they automatically add a service charge for large parties) and they promptly processed a refund of the overage. I definitely need to come hear more often.
