Had a bento box with chicken and beef from Nabi Q and it was really good although, as others have said, maybe a bit pricey. The combo bento box with the two different meats was $19.99 and included rice, chapchae, some veggies, and 3 pot stickers. There was also a bit of kimchee included. While the amount of food was substantial, it wasn't a huge portion for the money. Everything was tasty and seasoned pretty well. Service was good and the woman at the counter was friendly. I wish their water cups were bigger, though; when I asked for water, I got a paper cup with about 5 oz. of water! Being located in a food hall, there are lots of different options for food. To be competitive, Nabi Q might want to lower their prices a tad or increase the amount of food. I know times are hard right now, so I'm not sure this suggestion is feasible, but I think it would draw more people.

I ordered the Teriyaki Bento Bowl. It didn't come with teriyaki sauce, it came with soy sauce that they then tried to convince me was a bbq sauce. It wasn't, and either way, the menu says teriyaki which they weren't able to provide when I asked. I then asked for hot sauce and the lady offered me hot sauce and some "sweet" sauce, neither of which were vegan when I inquired about the ingredients so I declined. $20 for some steamed veggies, raw veggies, tofu and rice... only seasoned with salt. It always baffles me when restaurants under-deliver and then don't try to rectify it but that's customer service these days. Containers aren't eco friendly at all which is an extra annoyance. At least the food was fresh and not drowning in oil.

Found myself near the public market for lunch and decided to give this place a chance. Service was fast and friendly. The food came out quickly it was fresh and hot. I got a bbq chicken plate and it came with steamed rice some garlicky noodles and fresh veggies. The chicken and rice were solid but the noodles had to much garlic for me, I did like it but didn't eat it all, those veggies were the biggest crime unseasoned boiled broccoli and carrots, just leave them out if you care that much about them. I love the food market and I always try to find a new spot to eat when I get a chance to go. Who doesn't like eating at big long tables with strangers am I right?

My daughter took me to lunch. We wanted to go to the Public Market and see the options. This place drew me with aromatics. I smelled the garlic and we started studying the menu. The space and open seating at the market was clean and busy as expected for lunchtime. I had Garlic Shrimp Plate with a side of tofu. My daughter had BBQ Chicken Plate with tempura shrimp as an added side. The food was hot however the shrimp was overcooked. The tofu was tender and tasty. My daughter said her food was pretty good but the chicken a little dry. We were looking for sauces. Good potions. I would return for the Tofu.

Gotta love a bento box. Tried both the BBQ chicken and the short rib and chicken combo. The price point may be a little high but you do get a lot of food. All of the meat items were done well. The BBQ chicken was a home run, nicely spiced and moist, the short ribs and regular chicken were both yummy. The boxes come with rice and noodles, a little kimchi (a bit spicy for me) and pot stickers with sauce on the side. The only real miss was the broccoli and carrot side dish that seemed like it was just taking up space. It was not under seasoned, it was unseasoned and frankly didn't belong.

My aunt took me to the marketplace around 7pm for dinner and not much was open so I chose this place. I wasn't expecting much from a togo bento, but essentially it was mall food. The quality was decent and the amount of meat was plenty, but it was also overly seasoned on the brink of being too salty. The rice had a lot of sauce on it, which I don't really like.

The veggies were great. Not over cooked. My chicken was yummy. I think the short ribs were good too.

Incredibly average (to below average) Korean food. I ordered the meat plate with BBQ chicken for $12.99 plus tax. For this price, you get two pieces of chicken, a piece of brocolli, a giant scoop or rice, and a small scoop of japchae. Unless you order additional sauce for $.50., you are basically just getting your cooked meat un-sauced. My BBQ chicken was super overcooked and dry -- almost reminded me of jerky. Even if I had ordered the sauce, I'm not confident it would've helped the chicken taste that much better. Given the plethora of food options in the food court, I probably won't stop by again unless there's a compelling reason to, like a significant price drop.

Located in Emeryville Public Market, there's parking behind and that's the closest entrance to NabiQ. Otherwise there's street parking and a parking lot in the front across the street. They are always very eager and willing to hand you a menu when you walk up. My plus one prefers the BBQ chicken box or combo vs the plate. The food came out quickly and we usually take it to go but there's plenty of seating inside the public market. This isn't the best Korean bbq I've every had but it's consistently good and it is a close proximity so very convenient for us. Good for lunch or dinner.

THEY SENT A MAN TO THE HOSPITAL...I unfortunately witnessed serious mismanagement, particularly regarding food safety. One of the most alarming incidents involved a guest with a shellfish allergy being served Yukgaejang that contained a shellfish-based broth. The guest had a severe enough reaction to be hospitalized. Instead of acknowledging the mistake and taking responsibility, the manager denied that the dish contained any allergens--despite knowing that it did. This lack of accountability wasn't a one-time issue. Employees were not given clear guidance on handling allergens, and concerns about food safety were brushed off. The work environment itself was stressful, largely due to management's gaslighting and refusal to take responsibility for mistakes. While I understand that this was a relatively new business at the time, the sheer unwillingness to correct serious errors--especially those that could endanger customers--makes it a place I would not recommend dining at. Avoid this booth at all cost; it could literally save your very life.
