Yum! This is an ice cream shop inside the Lakeshore Cafe.The owner seems super nice & genuine guy!The soft serve creations are fantastic!I had the gingerbread & my husband had the eggnog. Both were so good! I'm going back soon for the German chocolate cake ice cream creation.So glad to know this is here! Right by the Oakland Diocese office, convenient location folks! You should really try Bears ice cream.

I was deceived by Yelp's aggregate 4.9 rating. There used to be a dessert place in SF where they would serve you a soft serve in a cup. My favorite one was the simple dark chocolate drizzle that would immediately harden with some sea salt on top. I was craving it, so I thought this place might be worth a try. I got just the cream with a chocolate drizzle over. The chocolate did not harden at all. It remained soft the entire time. The soft serve also started immediately melting within a minute of walking away from the place. It's only 66F. I would understand it melting quickly if it was 85F or something, but it took less than a minute to begin liquifying. My car was parked 3 minutes away, and by the time I got back to it, it was just sugary soup.The consistency isn't even the most disappointing aspect. The chocolate drizzle was too sweet. It tasted like the cheap syrup you can get from a dollar store where they just dump a whole can of sugar in order to get away with using the lowest amount of chocolate as possible. As for the soft serve itself, the first bite was mildly sweet. It wasn't overwhelming in flavor, but the more I ate it, the more it started tasting like a mildly appetizing version of spoiled milk. It left a really sour aftertaste in my mouth. I tried mixing it to turn it into chocolate soft serve, but the flavor of the chocolate syrup is so overwhelming that it just tastes like something Donkey would excrete if he were in Candyland instead of Shrek's swamp. It was $6.60 or so after tax. I think it's going to cost me $200 in medical bills from the emotional damage I've taken.

I just walked here with my housemate, cause she was craving froyo. I was very impressed by their options. They all look exquisite and high quality. My friend got the baklava with chocolate. The portion was huge for a single. She gave me a bite and it was so decadent. I wasn't going to get anything but the lovely woman working offered to give me a sample. She gave me the cutest mini cone! So generous. I will absolutely be back soon.

Very shareable portions. Could not finish one on my own. We liked the baklava toppings they did add the crunch without being too overwhelming. The ice cream itself was not too sweet and had a good milky flavour. I believe 17th is their last day at the current pop up location before they move. Service was fast and friendly.

Let me start by saying I love the idea of dessert but not usually the dessert itself. I'm a big fan of ordering dessert, and having two bites and being done. Today, I met my match and that was not the case. I loved the vanilla soft serve SO much. I could eat it plain without any toppings. The vanilla was thick snd creamy, not icy at all. The banana was a nice compliment to the not overly sweet flavor and the nuts provided the perfect crunch. The cookies and cream was also very good. I wish the chocolate were a bit thicker and less icy but overall still yummy. I love how little the cookie crumbs were crushed. Sometimes you get big chunks of cookie that are terrible to chew with ice cream because it freezes your teeth and takes away from the experience. I want to go back inside and get some more to go, but I don't trust that I won't eat it all in one sitting. This place is total chefs kiss. Perfect location across the lake too.... Get your ice cream and sit on a bench or go on a walk. I hope they grow in the most abundant way. Give it a try!

I was in the area looking for a good dessert spot and found MyGoodness. This location is right near Lake Merritt and it's off street parking. The menu is limited - wanted to try the Apple Pie but was not available today so chose the Strawberry Cheesecake and it did not disappoint. MyGoodness is literally MyGoodness! A simple dessert soft served ice cream topped with flavors. I'm looking forward to trying different flavors next time. Strawberry cheesecake has cheesecake bites all on top with strawberries preserves and there were even graham cracker pieces at the bottom - super good! Highly recommend for a date after visiting Lake Merritt

Yummy soft serve. Located in Lakeview cafe close to the drumming circle/rotunda on lake Merritt. Pop up. Go grab one on a hot day and it will hit the spot. The vanilla one is made from Buffalo milk which is easy on the stomach for lactose intolerant folks.

I came here for a party before and loved my experience so much I had to return. Such a convenient location.The service is excellent, the owner is very friendly and helpful.I chose the German Chocolate Cake this time and it was good, literally all the components of the cake but in ice cream form. Sadly, it was just too sweet for me. I didn't think about that when I ordered. My son ordered the Cookies and Cream and love every bite. He enjoyed the ice cream with the crunchy cookie toppings and texture.What I appreciate is that there are seasonal flavors so I can't wait to see what he'll have the next time we go.

Nothing hits the spot like the Peach Cobbler. Great balance of flavors and a perfect cream to topping ratio. Service was friendly and fast, per usual. I was surprised by how empty the shop was despite it being a warm day. But plenty of seating in and outdoors.

This little take away spot has hella decadent soft serve. I had the German chocolate cake, which was chocolate soft serve with brownies, nuts and coconut topping. It was delicious but definitely share it! It's a lot for one person- great for two people.
