MyeongDong Ja Jang

Order the tofu stew to go.it's tasty, but not enough soup to the rice ratio.It looks like they tried to crack and egg for it to cook but the soup wasn't hot enough, and I found a random single squid in my soup.I ordered ahead 15 minutes and it was ready! they have quite some tables inside but looked pretty busy today (mlk day)

I came here with family to enjoy a meal nearby and we chose to try out MyeongDong Ja Jang. Overall, we had a good experience.We came in and were seated immediately. They had many open tables and played K-pop in the back. It gave an organized, wooden feel. We ordered Jajangmyeon, as it seemed like their most popular dish, and it was okay! It took about twenty minutes to come out, but we got it all at once and it was a good portion. A little pricey for the size, but the sauce was flavorful. We wished the noodles were bouncier.Overall, we had a good meal and it fulfilled our craving of noodles.

This place had the most AMAZING tasting Korean food. This place is such a hidden gem, I loved their pancakes, and the sweet and sour pork! There was plenty of seating and felt cozy inside.The workers were also very nice and attentive. If you're nearby I highly recommend eating here I think about that pancake everyday

Surprisingly delicious! I was so addicted to the tangsuyuk that I ate until I was absolutely cheesed out. The owner is very friendly and attentive. She speaks both Korean and Chinese. Inside of the restaurant was clean and neat. I had a great time!Highly recommended!

Loved their black bean noodles and their seafood jjampong was amazing! Very flavorful and just enough kick. Their salt & pepper pork was pretty good but the sauce was a bit too sweet for my liking, nevertheless still great! Would look to try their soft tofu soup next time! The service was very quick and they were so nice and accommodating. Ambiance had a nice comforting feel as well.

I had pretty high hopes for this place but I left a bit disappointed. I ordered my usual favorites from a Korean restaurant - the seafood pancake and spicy rice cakes - and I wasn't a big fan of either. The seafood pancake came out cold and the only crisp was near the edges. It only really tasted good on the edges and the spicy rice cakes weren't spicy. The rice cakes were too soft and the sauce wasn't flavorful. The one thing I did like were their black bean noodles (or jajang noodles)! It was my first time trying it and I thought they were delicious. I don't think I'll be coming back here to eat but I have a new entree to try at Korean restaurants.Despite my disappointment with the food, the service is great! The waitresses are Korean women who are very kind and frequently check up on you to see what you need. There's no rush with ordering and they try to make conversation so it feels less like a transaction. It also wasn't too noisy in the restaurant, which I enjoyed and they play kpop in the background for entertainment.

After going to the outlets we were feeling peckish and decided to come here after driving around for a while. You honestly don't have to tell me jajangmyeon twice. We walked in and were seated right away. The service was great - ladies were friendly and kept coming over and checking on us. After ordering (jajangmyeon, seafood jampong, and sweet and sour pork), we hung out and listened to kpop on their TV. I saw the ladies check our table from afar multiple times to make sure we weren't low on water or onions/daikon. It was rather quiet in there aside from one table but you can tell it was busy with numerous take out orders happening. When our food came, I was really excited and my husband was ready to chow down. Everything was delicious! The noodles were chewy and the black bean sauce was so good. I do wish there was a little more meat in the jajangmeong, but that didn't stop me from nearly finishing the bowl. My husband loved his jampong and we really loved the sweet and sour pork. During this time, we were offered kimchi (delicious) and was checked upon even more but not in a bad way whatsoever. We'll be coming back and we hope to see you enjoying your food someday!

Tried MyeongDong for the first time and it was pretty good! The jjajangmyeon has generous amounts of sauce and toppings and the noodles were thick and chewy. The service was great as the waitresses made sure we had everything we needed.The ambiance is a typical Korean restaurant with tables and lots of seating for families and friends to eat with.

Zero complaints. Food was great! The noodles were bouncy and flavorful. If you like seafood, try the jampong! The Ja Jang Mian was really good too. We also ordered the sweet and sour pork. Everything was great.

First time here the other day after shopping at the SF outlets as it's conveniently located across the street inside the Pacific Pearl, but won't be my last! Their garlic fried chicken was the perfect amount of sweet and spicy. Service was so fast, got all our food in under 5 minutes! Ambiance is so soothing, waiters were also very hospitable! Keep it up! I will be a regular here.
